Emyn pan mae'r genedl mewn trafferthion
Mascîl gan Ethan yr Esrachiad. a
1Dw i'n mynd i ganu am byth am gariad yr Arglwydd;dweud am dy ffyddlondeb wrth un genhedlaeth ar ôl y llall.
2Cyhoeddi fod dy haelioni yn ddiddiwedd;
dy ffyddlondeb mor sicr â'r nefoedd.
3Dwedaist,
“Dw i wedi gwneud ymrwymiad i'r un dw i wedi ei ddewis,
ac wedi tyngu llw wrth Dafydd fy ngwas:
4‘Bydda i'n gwneud dy ddisgynyddion yn sefydlog am byth
ac yn cynnal dy orsedd ar hyd y cenedlaethau.’”

5Mae'r pethau rhyfeddol rwyt ti'n eu gwneud
yn cael eu canmol yn y nefoedd, O Arglwydd,
a dy ffyddlondeb hefyd gan yr angylion sanctaidd!
6Pwy sy'n debyg i'r Arglwydd yn y cymylau uchod?
Pa un o'r bodau nefol sy'n debyg i'r Arglwydd?
7Duw ydy'r un sy'n codi braw ar yr angylion sanctaidd;
mae e mor syfrdanol i'r rhai sydd o'i gwmpas.
8O Arglwydd Dduw holl-bwerus,
Oes rhywun mor gryf â ti, Arglwydd?
Mae ffyddlondeb yn dy amgylchynu!
9Ti sy'n rheoli'r môr mawr:
pan mae ei donnau'n codi, rwyt ti'n eu tawelu.
10Ti sathrodd yr anghenfil Rahab; roedd fel corff marw!
Ti chwalodd dy elynion gyda dy fraich gref.
11Ti sydd piau'r nefoedd, a'r ddaear hefyd;
ti wnaeth y byd a phopeth sydd ynddo.
12Ti greodd y gogledd a'r de;
mae mynyddoedd Tabor a Hermon yn canu'n llawen i ti.
13Mae dy fraich di mor bwerus,
ac mae dy law di mor gref.
Mae dy law dde wedi ei chodi'n fuddugoliaethus.
14Tegwch a chyfiawnder ydy sylfaen dy orsedd.
Cariad ffyddlon a gwirionedd sy'n dy nodweddu di.
15Mae'r rhai sy'n dy addoli di'n frwd wedi eu bendithio'n fawr!
O Arglwydd, nhw sy'n profi dy ffafr di.
16Maen nhw'n llawenhau ynot ti drwy'r dydd;
ac yn cael eu cynnal gan dy gyfiawnder.
17Ti sy'n rhoi nerth ac ysblander iddyn nhw.
Dy ffafr di sy'n rhoi'r fuddugoliaeth i ni!
18Ti, Arglwydd, ydy'n tarian.
Ti ydy'n brenin ni, Un Sanctaidd Israel.
19Un tro, dyma ti'n siarad
gyda dy ddilynwyr ffyddlon mewn gweledigaeth.
“Dw i wedi rhoi nerth i ryfelwr,” meddet ti;
“dw i wedi codi bachgen ifanc o blith y bobl.
20Dw i wedi dod o hyd i Dafydd, fy ngwas;
a'i eneinio'n frenin gyda'r olew sanctaidd.
21Bydda i yn ei gynnal e,
ac yn rhoi nerth iddo.
22Fydd dim un o'i elynion yn ei gael i dalu teyrnged,
a fydd dim un gormeswr yn ei ddarostwng.
23Bydda i'n sathru ei elynion o'i flaen;
ac yn taro i lawr y rhai sy'n ei gasáu.
24Bydd e'n cael profi fy ffyddlondeb a'm cariad;
a bydda i'n ei anfon i ennill buddugoliaeth.
25Bydda i'n gosod ei law chwith dros y môr,
a'i law dde ar afonydd Ewffrates.
26Bydd e'n dweud wrtho i,
‘Ti ydy fy Nhad i, fy Nuw, a'r graig sy'n fy achub i.’
27Bydda i'n ei wneud e yn fab hynaf i mi,
yn uwch na holl frenhinoedd y byd.
28Bydda i'n aros yn ffyddlon iddo am byth;
mae fy ymrwymiad iddo yn hollol ddiogel.
29Bydd ei ddisgynyddion yn ei olynu am byth,
a'i orsedd yn para mor hir â'r nefoedd.
30Os bydd ei feibion yn troi cefn ar fy nysgeidiaeth
ac yn gwrthod gwneud beth dw i'n ddweud;
31os byddan nhw'n torri fy rheolau i,
a ddim yn cadw fy ngorchmynion i,
32bydda i'n eu cosbi nhw gyda gwialen am eu gwrthryfel;
gyda plâu am iddyn nhw fynd ar gyfeiliorn.
33Ond fydda i ddim yn stopio ei garu e,
a fydda i ddim yn anffyddlon iddo.
34Fydda i ddim yn torri'r ymrwymiad wnes i;
bydda i'n gwneud beth wnes i addo iddo.
35Dw i, y Duw sanctaidd, wedi tyngu llw,
na fydda i byth yn twyllo Dafydd.
36Bydd ei linach yn aros am byth,
a'i orsedd yn para tra mae haul o'm blaen i.
37Mae wedi ei sefydlu am byth, fel mae'r lleuad
yn dyst ffyddlon i mi yn yr awyr.”

42Ti wedi gadael i'r rhai sy'n ei gasáu ei goncro,
a rhoi achos i'w elynion i gyd ddathlu.
43Rwyt wedi troi min ei gleddyf arno fe'i hun,
a heb ei helpu yn y frwydr.
44Rwyt wedi dod â'i deyrnasiad gwych i ben,
ac wedi bwrw ei orsedd i lawr.
45Rwyt wedi ei droi'n hen ddyn cyn pryd;
ac wedi ei orchuddio â chywilydd.

How do I do a word study?

When you click on a word, the detailed lexicon opens with:
'Vocabulary' Bibles link the translation to Greek & Hebrew. So far, only some Bibles have this vocabulary feature. They are shown in the Bible select screen with the letter 'V'.
It is the number of occurrences of a word in the Bible. Click on it to see them all in the selected Bible(s).
This reveals different forms for some words and names. These details are often interesting to scholars, eg the word 'beginning' in Genesis.
