I'r arweinydd cerdd: Salm Dafydd. Cân.
1Pan mae Duw yn codi,mae'r gelynion yn cael eu gwasgaru;
mae'r rhai sydd yn ei erbyn yn dianc oddi wrtho.
2Chwytha nhw i ffwrdd, fel mwg yn cael ei chwythu gan y gwynt!
Bydd pobl ddrwg yn cael eu difa gan Dduw,
fel cwyr yn cael ei doddi gan dân.
3Ond bydd y rhai cyfiawn yn dathlu,
ac yn gorfoleddu o flaen Duw;
byddan nhw wrth eu boddau!
4Canwch i Dduw! Canwch gân o fawl iddo,
a chanmol yr un sy'n marchogaeth y cymylau!
Yr Arglwydd ydy ei enw!
Dewch i ddathlu o'i flaen!
5Tad plant amddifad, yr un sy'n amddiffyn gweddwon,
ie, Duw yn ei gysegr.
6Mae Duw yn rhoi'r digartref mewn teulu,
ac yn gollwng caethion yn rhydd i sain cerddoriaeth.
Ond bydd y rhai sy'n gwrthryfela yn byw mewn anialwch.
7O Dduw, pan oeddet ti'n arwain dy bobl allan,
ac yn martsio ar draws yr anialwch,

8dyma'r ddaear yn crynu, a'r awyr yn arllwys y glaw
o flaen Duw, yr un oedd ar Sinai,
o flaen Duw, sef Duw Israel.
9Rhoist ddigonedd o law i'r tir, O Dduw,
ac adfer dy etifeddiaeth pan oedd yn gwywo.
10Dyna ble mae dy bobl yn byw.
Buost yn dda, a rhoi yn hael i'r anghenus, O Dduw.
11Mae'r Arglwydd yn dweud y gair,
ac mae tyrfa o ferched yn cyhoeddi'r newyddion da:
12Mae'r brenhinoedd a'u byddinoedd yn ffoi ar frys,
a gwragedd tŷ yn rhannu'r ysbail.
13“Er dy fod wedi aros adre rhwng y corlannau,
dyma i ti adenydd colomen wedi eu gorchuddio ag arian
a blaenau'r adenydd yn aur melyn coeth.”
14Pan oedd y Duw Hollalluog yn gwasgaru'r brenhinoedd,
roedd fel petai storm eira yn chwythu ar Fynydd Salmon!
15O fynydd anferth, mynydd Bashan ▼
▼68:15 mynydd Bashan: Bashan ydy'r ardal i'r dwyrain o'r Afon Iorddonen, sy'n cael ei adnabod heddiw fel Ucheldir Golan. Mae'n debyg mai cyfeiriad sydd yma at Fynydd Hermon i'r gogledd o Bashan.

16O fynydd y copaon uchel, pam wyt ti mor genfigennus
o'r mynydd mae Duw wedi ei ddewis i fyw arno?
Dyna ble bydd yr Arglwydd yn aros am byth! b
17Mae gan Dduw ddegau o filoedd o gerbydau,
a miloedd ar filoedd o filwyr.
Mae'r Arglwydd gyda nhw;
mae Duw Sinai wedi dod i'w gysegr!
18Ti wedi mynd i fyny i'r ucheldir,
ac arwain caethion ar dy ôl,
a derbyn rhoddion gan bobl –
hyd yn oed gan y rhai oedd yn gwrthwynebu
i ti aros yno, Arglwydd Dduw.
19Mae'r Arglwydd yn Dduw bendigedig!
Mae e'n edrych ar ein holau ni o ddydd i ddydd.
Duw ydy'n hachubwr ni!

20Ein Duw ni ydy'r Duw sy'n achub!
Gyda'r Arglwydd, ein Meistr, gallwn ddianc rhag marwolaeth.
21Fe ydy'r Duw sy'n taro pennau ei elynion –
pob copa walltog sy'n euog o'i flaen.
22Dwedodd yr Arglwydd,
“Bydda i'n dod a'r gelynion yn ôl o Bashan,
ie, hyd yn oed yn ôl o waelod y môr!
23Byddi'n trochi dy draed yn eu gwaed,
a bydd tafodau dy gŵn yn cael eu siâr o'r cyrff.”
24Mae pobl yn gweld dy orymdaith, O Dduw,
yr orymdaith pan mae fy Nuw, fy mrenin,
yn mynd i'r cysegr.
25Y cantorion ar y blaen, yna'r offerynnwr
yng nghanol y merched ifanc sy'n taro'r tambwrîn.
26“Bendithiwch Dduw yn y gynulleidfa fawr!
Bendithiwch yr Arglwydd,
bawb sy'n tarddu o ffynnon Israel.”
27Dacw Benjamin, yr ifancaf, yn arwain;
penaethiaid Jwda yn dyrfa swnllyd;
penaethiaid Sabulon a Nafftali.
28Mae dy Dduw yn dy wneud di'n gryf!
O Dduw, sydd wedi gweithredu ar ein rhan, dangos dy rym
29wrth ddod o dy deml yn Jerwsalem.
Boed i frenhinoedd dalu teyrnged i ti!
30Cerydda fwystfil y corsydd brwyn,
y gyr o deirw a'r bobl sy'n eu dilyn fel lloi!
Gwna iddyn nhw blygu o dy flaen a rhoi arian i ti'n rhodd.
Ti'n gyrru'r bobloedd sy'n mwynhau rhyfel ar chwâl!
31Bydd llysgenhadon yn dod o'r Aifft,
a bydd pobl Affrica ▼

Ie, Duw Israel sy'n rhoi grym a nerth i'w bobl.

How do I do a word study?

When you click on a word, the detailed lexicon opens with:
'Vocabulary' Bibles link the translation to Greek & Hebrew. So far, only some Bibles have this vocabulary feature. They are shown in the Bible select screen with the letter 'V'.
It is the number of occurrences of a word in the Bible. Click on it to see them all in the selected Bible(s).
This reveals different forms for some words and names. These details are often interesting to scholars, eg the word 'beginning' in Genesis.
