(2 Samuel 22:1-51)I'r arweinydd cerdd: Salm gan Dafydd, gwas yr Arglwydd. Canodd eiriau'r gân hon ar ôl i'r Arglwydd ei achub o ddwylo ei holl elynion, ac o afael Saul. a Dyma ddwedodd e:
1Dw i'n dy garu di, Arglwydd;ti sy'n rhoi nerth i mi.
2Mae'r Arglwydd fel craig i mi,
yn gastell ac yn achubwr.
Mae fy Nuw yn graig i mi lechu dani;
yn darian, yn gryfder ac yn hafan ddiogel.
3Gelwais ar yr Arglwydd sy'n haeddu ei foli,
ac achubodd fi oddi wrth fy ngelynion.
4Ro'n i'n boddi dan donnau marwolaeth;
roedd llifogydd dinistr yn fy llethu.
5Roedd rhaffau byd y meirw o'm cwmpas;
a maglau marwolaeth o'm blaen.
6Gelwais ar yr Arglwydd o ganol fy helynt,
a gweiddi ar fy Nuw.
Roedd yn ei deml, a clywodd fy llais;
gwrandawodd arna i'n galw.
7Yna dyma'r ddaear yn symud a crynu.
Roedd sylfeini'r mynyddoedd yn crynu
ac yn ysgwyd am ei fod wedi digio.
8Daeth mwg allan o'i ffroenau,
a thân dinistriol o'i geg;
roedd marwor yn tasgu ohono.
9Agorodd yr awyr fel llenni a daeth i lawr.
Roedd cwmwl trwchus dan ei draed.
10Marchogai ar geriwbiaid yn hedfan,
a codi ar adenydd y gwynt.
11Gwisgodd dywyllwch fel gorchudd drosto –
cymylau duon stormus;
a gwnaeth gymylau trwchus yr awyr
yn ffau o'i gwmpas.
12Roedd golau disglair o'i flaen;
saethodd mellt o'r cymylau,
cenllysg a marwor tanllyd.
13Yna taranodd yr Arglwydd yn yr awyr –
sŵn llais y Goruchaf yn galw. ▼

14Taflodd ei saethau a chwalu'r gelyn;
roedd ei folltau mellt yn eu gyrru ar ffo.
15Daeth gwely'r môr i'r golwg;
ac roedd sylfeini'r ddaear yn noeth
wrth i ti ruo, O Arglwydd,
a chwythu anadl o dy ffroenau.
16Estynnodd i lawr o'r uchelder
a gafael ynof fi;
tynnodd fi allan o'r dŵr dwfn.
17Achubodd fi o afael y gelyn ffyrnig,
a'r rhai sy'n fy nghasáu oedd yn gryfach na mi.
18Dyma nhw'n ymosod pan roeddwn mewn helbul,
ond dyma'r Arglwydd yn fy helpu i.
19Daeth â fi allan i ryddid!
Achubodd fi am ei fod wrth ei fodd gyda mi.
20Mae'r Arglwydd wedi bod yn deg â mi.
Dw i wedi byw'n gyfiawn;
mae fy nwylo'n lân
ac mae wedi rhoi fy ngwobr i mi.
21Do, dw i wedi dilyn yr Arglwydd yn ffyddlon,
heb droi cefn ar Dduw na gwneud drwg.
22Dw i wedi cadw ei ddeddfau'n ofalus;
dw i ddim wedi anwybyddu ei reolau.
23Dw i wedi bod yn ddi-fai
ac yn ofalus i beidio pechu yn ei erbyn.
24Mae'r Arglwydd wedi rhoi fy ngwobr i mi.
Dw i wedi byw'n gyfiawn,
ac mae e wedi gweld bod fy nwylo'n lân.
25Ti'n ffyddlon i'r rhai sy'n ffyddlon;
ac yn deg â'r rhai di-euog.
26Mae'r rhai di-fai yn dy brofi'n ddi-fai,
ond rwyt ti'n fwy craff na'r rhai anonest.
27Ti'n achub pobl sy'n dioddef,
ond yn torri crib y rhai balch.
28Ie, ti sy'n goleuo fy lamp, o Arglwydd;
fy Nuw sy'n rhoi golau i mi yn y tywyllwch.
29Gyda ti gallaf ruthro allan i'r frwydr;
gallaf neidio unrhyw wal gyda help fy Nuw!
30Mae Duw yn gwneud beth sy'n iawn;
mae'r Arglwydd yn dweud beth sy'n wir.
Mae fel tarian yn amddiffyn pawb sy'n troi ato.
31Oes duw arall ond yr Arglwydd?
Oes craig arall ar wahân i'n Duw ni?
32Fe ydy'r Duw sy'n rhoi nerth i mi –
mae'n symud pob rhwystr o'm blaen.
33Mae'n rhoi coesau fel carw i mi;
fydda i byth yn llithro ar y creigiau uchel.
34Dysgodd fi sut i ymladd –
dw i'n gallu plygu bwa o bres!
35Rwyt wedi fy amddiffyn fel tarian;
mae dy law gref yn fy nghynnal.
Mae dy ofal wedi gwneud i mi lwyddo.
36Ti wnaeth i mi frasgamu ymlaen
a wnes i ddim baglu.
37Es ar ôl fy ngelynion, a'u dal nhw;
wnes i ddim troi'n ôl nes roedden nhw wedi darfod.
38Dyma fi'n eu taro nhw i lawr,
nes eu bod yn methu codi;
roeddwn i'n eu sathru nhw dan draed.
39Ti roddodd y nerth i mi ymladd;
ti wnaeth i'r gelyn blygu o'm blaen.
40Ti wnaeth iddyn nhw gilio yn ôl.
Dinistriais y rhai oedd yn fy nghasáu yn llwyr.
41Roedden nhw'n galw am help,
ond doedd neb i'w hachub!
Roedden nhw'n galw ar yr Arglwydd hyd yn oed!
Ond wnaeth e ddim ateb.
42Dyma fi'n eu malu nhw'n llwch i'w chwythu i ffwrdd gan y gwynt;
a'u taflu i ffwrdd fel baw ar y strydoedd.
43Achubaist fi o afael y rhai oedd yn ymladd yn fy erbyn.
Gwnest fi'n bennaeth ar y gwledydd.
Mae pobloedd wyddwn i ddim amdanyn nhw
yn derbyn fy awdurdod.
44Maen nhw'n plygu wrth glywed amdana i –
ie, estroniaid yn crynu o'm blaen!
45Mae pobloedd estron wedi colli pob hyder,
ac yn crynu wrth ddod allan o'u cuddfannau.
46Ydy, mae'r Arglwydd yn fyw!
Bendith ar y graig sy'n fy amddiffyn i!
Boed i Dduw, wnaeth fy achub i, gael ei anrhydeddu!
47Fe ydy'r Duw sydd wedi dial ar fy rhan i,
a gwneud i bobloedd blygu o'm blaen.
48Fe ydy'r Duw sydd wedi fy achub i rhag fy ngelynion,
a'm cipio o afael y rhai sy'n fy nghasáu.
Mae wedi fy achub o ddwylo dynion treisgar.
49Felly, O Arglwydd,
bydda i'n dy foli di o flaen y cenhedloedd
ac yn canu mawl i dy enw:
50Mae'n rhoi buddugoliaeth i'w frenin –
un fuddugoliaeth fawr ar ôl y llall!
Mae'n aros yn ffyddlon i'w eneiniog –
i Dafydd, ac i'w ddisgynyddion am byth.

How do I do a word study?

When you click on a word, the detailed lexicon opens with:
'Vocabulary' Bibles link the translation to Greek & Hebrew. So far, only some Bibles have this vocabulary feature. They are shown in the Bible select screen with the letter 'V'.
It is the number of occurrences of a word in the Bible. Click on it to see them all in the selected Bible(s).
This reveals different forms for some words and names. These details are often interesting to scholars, eg the word 'beginning' in Genesis.
