1Dyma hanes teulu Aaron a Moses pan wnaeth yr Arglwydd siarad gyda Moses ar Fynydd Sinai: 2Enwau meibion Aaron oedd Nadab (y mab hynaf), Abihw, Eleasar ac Ithamar. 3Cawson nhw eu heneinio a'u cysegru i wasanaethu fel offeiriaid. 4Ond roedd Nadab ac Abihw wedi marw yn anialwch Sinai wrth ddefnyddio tân o rywle arall i wneud offrwm i'r Arglwydd. Doedd ganddyn nhw ddim plant. Felly Eleasar ac Ithamar oedd yn gwasanaethu fel offeiriaid gyda'u tad Aaron.Llwyth Lefi i wasanaethu fel offeiriaid
5Dyma'r Arglwydd yn dweud wrth Moses: 6“Tyrd â llwyth Lefi at Aaron, a'u rhoi nhw iddo fel ei helpwyr. 7Byddan nhw'n gwasanaethu Aaron a'r bobl i gyd o flaen Pabell Presenoldeb Duw. Nhw fydd yn gyfrifol am wneud yr holl waith yn y Tabernacl. 8Byddan nhw'n gofalu am holl offer Pabell Presenoldeb Duw, ac yn gwasanaethu yn y Tabernacl ar ran pobl Israel. 9Rwyt i roi'r Lefiaid i Aaron a'i feibion fel eu helpwyr. Maen nhw i weithio iddo fe a neb arall. 10Aaron a'i feibion sydd i'w penodi'n offeiriaid. Os ydy unrhyw un arall yn mynd yn rhy agos at y cysegr, y gosb ydy marwolaeth.” 11A dyma'r Arglwydd yn dweud wrth Moses: 12“Dw i wedi cymryd y Lefiaid i mi fy hun, yn lle'r mab cyntaf i ddod allan o groth pob gwraig yn Israel. Fi piau'r Lefiaid, 13am mai fi piau pob mab cyntaf. Ro'n i wedi cysegru pob mab ac anifail cyntaf i gael ei eni i mi fy hun, pan wnes i ladd y rhai cyntaf i gael eu geni yng ngwlad yr Aifft. Felly fi piau pob un cyntaf i gael ei eni. Fi ydy'r Arglwydd.”Cyfri'r Lefiaid
14Yna dyma'r Arglwydd yn siarad gyda Moses yn anialwch Sinai: 15“Dw i eisiau i ti gyfri'r Lefiaid, yn ôl eu teuluoedd estynedig a'i claniau – pob dyn, a phob bachgen sydd dros fis oed.” 16Felly dyma Moses yn eu cyfri nhw, fel roedd yr Arglwydd wedi dweud wrtho. 17Enwau meibion Lefi oedd Gershon, Cohath a Merari.18Enwau claniau meibion Gershon oedd Libni a Shimei.
19Enwau claniau meibion Cohath oedd Amram, Its'har, Hebron ac Wssiel.
20Enwau claniau meibion Merari oedd Machli a Mwshi.
Y rhain oedd teuluoedd Lefi yn ôl eu claniau. 21Disgynyddion Gershon oedd claniau Libni a Simei – 22sef 7,500 o ddynion a bechgyn oedd dros fis oed. 23Roedd teuluoedd y Gershoniaid i wersylla tu ôl i'r Tabernacl, i'r gorllewin. 24Ac arweinydd y Gershoniaid oedd Eliasaff fab Laël. 25Cyfrifoldeb y Gershoniaid oedd pabell y Tabernacl, y gorchudd, y sgrîn o flaen y fynedfa i Babell Presenoldeb Duw, 26llenni'r iard oedd o gwmpas y Tabernacl a'r allor, y sgrîn o flaen y fynedfa i'r iard, y rhaffau, a popeth arall oedd ag unrhyw beth i'w wneud â'r rhain.
27Disgynyddion Cohath oedd claniau Amram, Its'har, Hebron ac Wssiel – 28sef 8,600 o ddynion a bechgyn oedd dros fis oed. Nhw oedd yn gyfrifol am y cysegr. 29Roedd teuluoedd y Cohathiaid i wersylla i'r de o'r Tabernacl. 30Ac arweinydd y Cohathiaid oedd Elitsaffan fab Wssiel. 31Nhw oedd yn gyfrifol am yr Arch, y bwrdd, y menora (sef y stand i'r lampau), yr allorau, unrhyw offer oedd yn cael ei ddefnyddio yn y cysegr, y gorchudd mewnol, a popeth arall oedd ag unrhyw beth i'w wneud â'r rhain.
32Eleasar, mab Aaron oedd pennaeth arweinwyr y Lefiaid. Roedd ganddo gyfrifoldeb arbennig i oruchwylio'r rhai oedd yn gyfrifol am y cysegr.
33Disgynyddion Merari oedd claniau Machli a Mwshi – 34sef 6,200 o ddynion a bechgyn oedd dros fis oed. 35Arweinydd y Merariaid oedd Swriel fab Afichaïl. Roedden nhw i wersylla i'r gogledd o'r Tabernacl. 36Cyfrifoldeb y Merariaid oedd fframiau'r Tabernacl, y croesfarrau, y polion, y socedi, y llestri i gyd, a popeth arall oedd ag unrhyw beth i'w wneud â'r rhain. 37Hefyd, polion yr iard i gyd, gyda'i socedi, pegiau a rhaffau.
38Yr unig rai oedd i wersylla ar yr ochr ddwyreiniol, o flaen y Tabernacl, oedd Moses ac Aaron a'i feibion. Nhw oedd yn gyfrifol am y cysegr ar ran pobl Israel. Os oedd unrhyw un arall yn mynd yn rhy agos at y cysegr, y gosb oedd marwolaeth. 39Nifer y Lefiaid i gyd, gafodd eu cyfri gan Moses ac Aaron, oedd 22,000 o ddynion a bechgyn dros un mis oed.
Y Lefiaid yn cymryd lle'r meibion hynaf
40Yna dyma'r Arglwydd yn dweud wrth Moses: “Dw i eisiau i ti gyfri pob un o'r Israeliaid sy'n fab hynaf, o un mis oed i fyny. A cofrestru enw pob un. 41Mae'r Lefiaid i gael eu rhoi i mi yn lle meibion hynaf yr Israeliaid – cofia mai fi ydy'r Arglwydd. A fi piau anifeiliaid y Lefiaid hefyd, yn lle pob anifail cyntaf i gael ei eni i anifeiliaid pobl Israel.” 42Felly dyma Moses yn cyfrif pob un o feibion hynaf yr Israeliaid, fel roedd yr Arglwydd wedi dweud wrtho. 43Y nifer gafodd eu cyfrif a'u cofrestru oedd 22,273. 44Yna dyma'r Arglwydd yn dweud wrth Moses: 45“Cymer y Lefiaid yn lle meibion hynaf pobl Israel, ac anifeiliaid y Lefiaid yn lle eu hanifeiliaid nhw. Fi fydd piau'r Lefiaid. Fi ydy'r Arglwydd. 46Mae nifer y meibion hynaf ddau gant saith deg tri yn fwy na nifer y Lefiaid. Rwyt i brynu rhyddid i'r dau gant saith deg tri 47drwy gasglu pum darn arian am bob un ohonyn nhw. Dylid ei dalu gydag arian y cysegr, sef darnau arian sy'n pwyso dau ddeg gera yr un. 48Rho'r arian yma i Aaron a'i feibion.” 49Felly dyma Moses yn casglu'r arian i brynu'n rhydd y meibion hynaf oedd dros ben. 50Casglodd 1,365 sicl, sef tua un deg pump cilogram o arian. 51Yna dyma Moses yn rhoi'r arian i Aaron a'i feibion, yn union fel roedd yr Arglwydd wedi dweud wrtho.

How do I do a word study?

When you click on a word, the detailed lexicon opens with:
'Vocabulary' Bibles link the translation to Greek & Hebrew. So far, only some Bibles have this vocabulary feature. They are shown in the Bible select screen with the letter 'V'.
It is the number of occurrences of a word in the Bible. Click on it to see them all in the selected Bible(s).
This reveals different forms for some words and names. These details are often interesting to scholars, eg the word 'beginning' in Genesis.
