Nehemiah 7
Trefniadau diogelwch Jerwsalem
1Roedd y wal wedi ei gorffen, drysau'r giatiau wedi eu gosod yn eu lle, a gofalwyr y giatiau, cantorion a Lefiaid wedi eu penodi. 2A dyma fi'n apwyntio Chanani (perthynas i mi), a Chananeia, pennaeth y gaer, i fod yn gyfrifol am Jerwsalem. Roedd Chananeia'n ddyn y gallwn ei drystio, ac yn fwy duwiol na'r rhan fwya o bobl. 3Dwedais wrthyn nhw, “Ddylai giatiau'r ddinas ddim bod ar agor pan mae'r haul yn boeth ganol dydd. Dylen nhw aros dan glo nes bod y gofalwyr yn ôl ar ddyletswydd. A rhaid i chi osod rhai o bobl Jerwsalem yn wylwyr ar y waliau, ac eraill wrth eu tai.”Rhestr o'r bobl ddaeth yn ôl o Babilon
(Esra 2:1-70) 4Roedd digon o le yn y ddinas, a dim llawer o bobl yn byw ynddi. Doedd bron ddim tai wedi eu hadeiladu ynddi bryd hynny. 5A dyma Duw yn rhoi syniad i mi, i alw'r arweinwyr a'r swyddogion a'r bobl gyffredin at ei gilydd, a'u cofrestru nhw yn ôl eu teuluoedd. Dyma fi'n dod o hyd i restrau teuluol y rhai ddaeth yn ôl yn wreiddiol. A dyma beth oedd wedi ei gofnodi: 6Dyma restr o bobl y dalaith ddaeth allan o Babilon. Cawson nhw eu cymryd yn gaeth yno gan Nebwchadnesar, brenin Babilon. Daeth pob un yn ôl i Jerwsalem ac i'r trefi eraill yn Jwda lle roedden nhw'n arfer byw. 7Yr arweinwyr oedd Serwbabel, Ieshŵa, Nehemeia, Asareia, Raameia, Nachamani, Mordecai, Bilshan, Mispar, Bigfai, Nechwm a Baana.Dyma faint o bobl Israel ddaeth yn ôl:
