(Luc 7:18-35) 1Pan oedd Iesu wedi gorffen dysgu ei ddeuddeg disgybl, aeth yn ei flaen ar ei daith o gwmpas trefi Galilea yn dysgu ac yn pregethu. 2Pan glywodd Ioan Fedyddiwr, oedd yn y carchar, beth oedd Crist yn ei wneud, anfonodd ei ddisgyblion 3i ofyn iddo, “Ai ti ydy'r Meseia sydd i ddod, neu ddylen ni ddisgwyl rhywun arall?” 4Ateb Iesu oedd, “Ewch yn ôl a dweud wrth Ioan beth dych chi wedi ei glywed a'i weld: 5Mae pobl ddall yn cael gweld, pobl gloff yn cerdded, pobl sy'n dioddef o'r gwahanglwyf yn cael eu hiacháu, pobl fyddar yn clywed, a phobl sydd wedi marw yn dod yn ôl yn fyw. Ac mae'r newyddion da yn cael ei gyhoeddi i bobl dlawd! a 6Ac un peth arall: Mae bendith fawr i bwy bynnag sydd ddim yn colli hyder ynddo i.” 7Wrth i ddisgyblion Ioan adael, dechreuodd Iesu siarad â'r dyrfa am Ioan: “Sut ddyn aethoch chi allan i'r anialwch i'w weld? Brwynen wan yn cael ei chwythu i bob cyfeiriad gan y gwynt? 8Na? Pam aethoch chi allan felly? I weld dyn mewn dillad crand? Wrth gwrs ddim! Mewn palasau mae pobl grand yn byw! 9Felly, pam aethoch chi allan? I weld proffwyd? Ie, a dw i'n dweud wrthoch chi ei fod e'n fwy na phroffwyd. 10Dyma'r un mae'r ysgrifau sanctaidd yn sôn amdano: ‘Edrych! – dw i'n anfon fy negesydd o dy flaen di,i baratoi'r ffordd i ti.’ b
11Wir i chi, mae Ioan Fedyddiwr yn fwy na neb arall sydd wedi byw erioed. Ac eto mae'r person lleia pwysig yn nheyrnas yr Un nefol yn fwy nag e. 12Ers i Ioan ddechrau pregethu, mae teyrnas yr Un nefol wedi bod yn torri allan yn rymus, a'r rhai sy'n rhuthro trwodd yn cael gafael ynddi. 13Achos roedd yr holl broffwydi a Chyfraith Moses yn sôn am y peth fel rhywbeth oedd i ddigwydd yn y dyfodol, nes i Ioan ddod i'r golwg. 14Felly, os dych chi'n fodlon derbyn y peth, fe ydy'r Elias oedd i ddod. 15Gwrandwch yn ofalus os dych chi'n awyddus i ddysgu. 16“Sut mae disgrifio'r genhedlaeth yma? Mae hi fel plant yn eistedd yn sgwâr y farchnad yn cwyno am ei gilydd fel hyn: 17‘Roedden ni'n chwarae priodas,
ond wnaethoch chi ddim dawnsio;
Roedden ni'n chwarae angladd,
ond wnaethoch chi ddim galaru.’
18Am fod Ioan ddim yn bwyta ac yn yfed fel pawb arall, roedden nhw'n dweud, ‘Mae yna gythraul ynddo.’ 19Ond wedyn dyma fi, Mab y Dyn yn dod, yn bwyta ac yn yfed, a maen nhw'n dweud, ‘y bolgi! Meddwyn yn diota a stwffio'i hun! Ffrind i'r twyllwyr sy'n casglu trethi i Rufain ac i bechaduriaid eraill ydy e!’ Gallwch nabod doethineb go iawn yn ôl pa mor gyson ydy'r dadleuon. Dych chi mor anghyson mae'ch ffolineb chi'n amlwg!”

Petai'r gwyrthiau wnes i ynoch chi wedi digwydd yn Tyrus a Sidon, byddai'r bobl yno wedi hen ddangos eu bod yn edifar trwy wisgo sachliain a thaflu lludw ar eu pennau. 22Wir i chi, bydd hi'n well ar Tyrus a Sidon ar ddydd y farn nag arnoch chi! 23A beth amdanat ti, Capernaum? Wyt ti'n meddwl y byddi di'n cael dy anrhydeddu? Na, byddi di'n cael dy fwrw i lawr i'r dyfnder tywyll! Petai'r gwyrthiau wnes i ynot ti wedi digwydd yn Sodom, byddai Sodom yn dal yma heddiw! c 24Wir i chi, bydd hi'n well ar Sodom ar ddydd y farn nag arnat ti!”Gorffwys i'r blinedig

Diolch i ti am guddio'r pethau yma oddi wrth y bobl sy'n meddwl eu bod nhw mor ddoeth a chlyfar, a'u dangos i rai sy'n agored fel plant bach. 26Ie, fy Nhad, dyna sy'n dy blesio di. 27“Mae fy Nhad wedi rhoi popeth yn fy ngofal i. Does neb yn nabod y Mab go iawn ond y Tad, a does neb yn nabod y Tad go iawn ond y Mab, a'r rhai hynny mae'r Mab wedi dewis ei ddangos iddyn nhw. 28“Dewch ata i, bawb sy'n cael eich llethu gan feichiau trwm, a rhof i orffwys i chi. 29Dewch gyda mi o dan fy iau i, ▼▼11:29 iau: Roedd iau yn cael ei osod ar ysgwyddau anifeiliaid oedd yn tynnu aradr neu drol.

How do I do a word study?

When you click on a word, the detailed lexicon opens with:
'Vocabulary' Bibles link the translation to Greek & Hebrew. So far, only some Bibles have this vocabulary feature. They are shown in the Bible select screen with the letter 'V'.
It is the number of occurrences of a word in the Bible. Click on it to see them all in the selected Bible(s).
This reveals different forms for some words and names. These details are often interesting to scholars, eg the word 'beginning' in Genesis.
