(Mathew 15:1-20) 1Dyma'r Phariseaid a rhai o'r arbenigwyr yn y Gyfraith oedd wedi dod o Jerwsalem yn casglu o gwmpas Iesu. 2Roedden nhw wedi sylwi fod rhai o ddisgyblion Iesu ddim yn golchi eu dwylo yn y ffordd iawn cyn bwyta. 3(Dydy'r Phariseaid a phobl Jwda byth yn bwyta heb fynd trwy ddefod golchi dwylo fel mae'r traddodiad crefyddol yn gofyn. 4Wnân nhw ddim bwyta dim wedi ei brynu yn y farchnad chwaith heb fynd trwy ddefod golchi. Ac mae ganddyn nhw lawer o reolau eraill tebyg, fel defod golchi cwpanau, jygiau a llestri copr o bob math.) 5Gofynnodd y Phariseaid a'r arbenigwyr yn y Gyfraith i Iesu, “Pam dydy dy ddisgyblion di ddim yn cadw'r traddodiad. Maen nhw'n bwyta heb olchi eu dwylo!” 6Atebodd Iesu, “Roedd Eseia yn llygad ei le pan broffwydodd amdanoch chi. Dych chi mor ddauwynebog! “Dyma ddwedodd e: ‘Mae'r bobl yma'n dweud pethau gwych amdana i,ond mae eu calonnau yn bell oddi wrtho i.
7Mae eu haddoliad yn ddiystyr;
mân-reolau dynol ydy'r cwbl maen nhw'n ei ddysgu.’ a
8“Dych chi'n diystyru beth mae Duw wedi ei orchymyn, ac yn lle hynny yn glynu wrth eich traddodiad crefyddol.” 9“Ie, gwrthod beth mae Duw yn ei ddweud er mwyn cadw'ch traddodiadau eich hunain!” meddai wrthyn nhw. 10“Er enghraifft, dwedodd Moses, ‘Gofala am dy dad a dy fam,’ a, ‘Rhaid i bwy bynnag sy'n sarhau ei dad neu ei fam gael ei ladd.’ b 11Ond dych chi'n dweud ei bod yn iawn dweud wrth rieni mewn oed: ‘Alla i ddim gofalu amdanoch chi. Mae beth o'n i'n mynd i'w roi i chi wedi ei gyflwyno'n rhodd i Dduw.’ 12Wedyn wrth gwrs, does dim rhaid i chi wneud dim i helpu'ch rhieni. 13Dych chi'n defnyddio'ch traddodiad i osgoi gwneud beth mae Duw'n ei ddweud. Ac mae digon o enghreifftiau eraill o'r un math o beth y gallwn i sôn amdanyn nhw.” 14Dyma Iesu'n galw'r dyrfa ato eto, a dweud wrthyn nhw, “Gwrandwch arna i, dw i am i chi i gyd ddeall hyn. 15Dydy beth dych chi'n ei fwyta ddim yn eich gwneud chi'n ‛aflan‛. Beth sy'n dod allan ohonoch chi sy'n eich gwneud chi'n ‛aflan‛ – pethau dych chi'n eu dweud a'u gwneud.” ▼

17Pan aeth i mewn i'r tŷ ar ôl gadael y dyrfa, gofynnodd ei ddisgyblion iddo esbonio'r peth iddyn nhw. 18“Ydych chi wir mor ddwl?” meddai. “Ydych chi ddim yn gweld mai dim beth dych chi'n ei fwyta sy'n eich gwneud chi'n ‛aflan‛? 19Dydy bwyd ddim yn mynd yn agos at y galon, dim ond pasio drwy'r stumog ac yna dod allan yn y tŷ bach.” (Wrth ddweud hyn roedd Iesu'n dweud fod pob bwyd yn iawn i'w fwyta.) 20“Yr hyn sy'n dod allan o'r galon sy'n eich gwneud chi'n ‛aflan‛,” meddai. 21“O'r tu mewn i chi mae meddyliau drwg yn dod, a phethau fel anfoesoldeb rhywiol, dwyn, llofruddio, 22godinebu, bod yn farus, bod yn faleisus, twyllo, penrhyddid, bod yn hunanol, hel straeon cas, bod yn haerllug ac ymddwyn yn ffôl. 23Y pethau drwg yma sy'n dod allan ohonoch chi sy'n eich gwneud chi'n ‛aflan‛.” Ffydd gwraig o Syro-Phoenicia

Ceisiodd gadw'r ffaith ei fod yn aros yno'n gyfrinach, ond methodd. 25Yn wir, yn syth ar ôl clywed ei fod yno, daeth rhyw wraig ato a syrthio i lawr o'i flaen – roedd ganddi ferch fach oedd wedi ei meddiannu gan ysbryd drwg. 26Gwraig wedi ei geni yn Syro-Phoenicia oedd hi, dim Iddewes, ac roedd hi'n pledio ar i Iesu fwrw'r cythraul allan o'i merch. 27Dwedodd Iesu wrthi, “Rhaid i'r plant gael bwyta beth maen nhw eisiau gyntaf. 28“Digon gwir, Arglwydd,” meddai'r wraig, “ond mae hyd yn oed y cŵn dan y bwrdd yn cael bwyta briwsion y plant.” 29“Am i ti roi ateb mor dda,” meddai Iesu wrthi, “cei fynd adre; mae'r cythraul wedi gadael dy ferch.” 30Felly aeth adre, a dyna lle roedd ei merch yn gorwedd ar ei gwely, a'r cythraul wedi ei gadael. 31Aeth Iesu yn ei flaen o ardal Tyrus a mynd trwy Sidon ac yna yn ôl i lawr at Lyn Galilea i ardal Decapolis. 32Yno daeth rhyw bobl a dyn ato oedd yn fyddar ac yn methu siarad yn glir, a gofyn iddo osod ei ddwylo ar y dyn a'i iacháu. 33Aeth Iesu a'r dyn i ffwrdd o olwg y dyrfa. Rhoddodd ei fysedd yng nghlustiau'r dyn ac wedyn poeri ar ei fysedd cyn cyffwrdd tafod y dyn. 34Edrychodd i fyny i'r nefoedd, ac meddai gydag ochenaid ddofn, “Eph-phatha!” ▼▼7:34 Eph-phatha: Gair Aramaeg – un o'r ieithoedd oedd yn cael ei siarad yn Israel yn y cyfnod.

Ond po fwya oedd Iesu'n dweud wrth bobl i beidio, mwya oedden nhw'n dweud wrth bawb am y pethau roedd yn eu gwneud. 37Roedd pobl wedi eu syfrdanu'n llwyr ganddo. “Mae popeth mae'n ei wneud mor ffantastig,” medden nhw. “Mae hyd yn oed yn gwneud i bobl fyddar glywed ac i bobl fud siarad!”

How do I do a word study?

When you click on a word, the detailed lexicon opens with:
'Vocabulary' Bibles link the translation to Greek & Hebrew. So far, only some Bibles have this vocabulary feature. They are shown in the Bible select screen with the letter 'V'.
It is the number of occurrences of a word in the Bible. Click on it to see them all in the selected Bible(s).
This reveals different forms for some words and names. These details are often interesting to scholars, eg the word 'beginning' in Genesis.
