Iacháu y dyn yng ngafael cythraul
(Mathew 8:28-34; Luc 8:26-39) 1Dyma nhw'n croesi'r llyn i ardal Gerasa. ▼▼5:1 Gerasa: NeuGadara yn rhai llawysgrifau. Gergesa yn eraill.
2Wrth i Iesu gamu allan o'r cwch, dyma ddyn oedd ag ysbryd drwg ynddo yn dod ato o gyfeiriad y fynwent 3– yno roedd yn byw, yng nghanol y beddau. Allai neb gadw rheolaeth arno, hyd yn oed trwy roi cadwyni arno. 4Roedd yn aml yn cael ei rwymo gyda chadwyni am ei ddwylo a'i draed, ond lawer gwaith roedd wedi llwyddo i dorri'r cadwyni a dianc. Doedd neb yn gallu ei gadw dan reolaeth. 5A dyna lle roedd, ddydd a nos, yn y fynwent ac ar y bryniau cyfagos yn sgrechian ac anafu ei hun â cherrig. 6Pan welodd Iesu'n dod o bell, rhedodd i'w gyfeiriad a phlygu ar lawr o'i flaen. 7Rhoddodd sgrech a gwaeddodd nerth ei ben, “Gad di lonydd i mi, Iesu, mab y Duw Goruchaf! Paid poenydio fi er mwyn Duw!” 8(Roedd Iesu newydd orchymyn i'r ysbryd drwg ddod allan o'r dyn.) 9Gofynnodd Iesu iddo wedyn, “Beth ydy dy enw di?” “Lleng ydw i,” atebodd, “achos mae llawer iawn ohonon ni yma.” 10Roedden nhw'n crefu ar i Iesu i beidio eu hanfon nhw i ffwrdd o'r ardal honno. 11Roedd cenfaint fawr o foch yn pori ar ochr bryn cyfagos, 12a dyma'r ysbrydion drwg yn pledio arno, “Anfon ni i'r moch acw; gad i ni fyw ynddyn nhw.” 13Dyma Iesu'n rhoi caniatâd iddyn nhw fynd, ac allan a'r ysbrydion drwg o'r dyn ac i mewn i'r moch. Dyma'r moch i gyd, tua dwy fil ohonyn nhw, yn rhuthro i lawr y llechwedd serth i mewn i'r llyn, a boddi. 14Dyma'r rhai oedd yn gofalu am y moch yn rhedeg i ffwrdd a dweud wrth bawb ym mhobman beth oedd wedi digwydd. Pan ddaeth y bobl allan at Iesu i weld drostyn nhw eu hunain, 15roedden nhw wedi dychryn. Dyna lle roedd y dyn oedd wedi bod yng ngafael y cythreuliaid, yn eistedd yn dawel gyda dillad amdano ac yn ei iawn bwyll. 16Pan ddwedodd y llygad-dystion eto beth oedd wedi digwydd i'r dyn a'r moch, 17dyma'r bobl yn mynnu fod Iesu'n gadael eu hardal. 18Pan oedd Iesu ar fin mynd i mewn i'r cwch, dyma'r dyn oedd wedi bod yng ngafael y cythreuliaid yn dod ato ac erfyn am gael aros gydag e. 19“Na,” meddai Iesu, “Dos adre at dy deulu a dywed wrthyn nhw am y cwbl mae Duw wedi ei wneud i ti, a sut mae wedi bod mor drugarog.” 20Felly i ffwrdd â'r dyn a dechrau dweud wrth bawb yn ardal Decapolis am bopeth oedd Iesu wedi ei wneud iddo. Roedd pawb wedi eu syfrdanu. Merch fach wedi marw a gwraig oedd â gwaedlif.

Llyn Galilea, dyma dyrfa fawr yn casglu o'i gwmpas ar lan y dŵr. 22Daeth un o arweinwyr y synagog ato, dyn o'r enw Jairus. Aeth ar ei liniau o flaen Iesu 23a phledio'n daer, “Mae fy merch fach i'n marw. Plîs tyrd i'w hiacháu drwy roi dy ddwylo arni, iddi gael byw.” 24Felly aeth Iesu gyda'r dyn. Roedd tyrfa fawr o bobl o'i gwmpas yn gwthio o bob cyfeiriad. 25Yn eu canol roedd gwraig oedd wedi bod â gwaedlif arni ers deuddeng mlynedd. 26Roedd hi wedi dioddef yn ofnadwy dan ofal llawer o feddygon, ac wedi gwario ei harian i gyd ar gael ei thrin, ond yn lle gwella roedd hi wedi mynd o ddrwg i waeth. 27Roedd wedi clywed am Iesu, a sleifiodd y tu ôl iddo yng nghanol y dyrfa, 28gan feddwl, “Dim ond i mi lwyddo i gyffwrdd ei ddillad, ca i fy iacháu.” Pan lwyddodd i gyffwrdd ymyl ei glogyn 29dyma'r gwaedu yn stopio'n syth. Roedd hi'n gallu teimlo ei bod wedi ei hiacháu. 30Sylweddolodd Iesu fod nerth wedi llifo allan ohono, a throdd yng nghanol y dyrfa a gofyn, “Pwy gyffyrddodd fy nillad i?” 31Atebodd ei ddisgyblion, “Sut alli di ofyn y fath gwestiwn a'r dyrfa yma'n gwthio o dy gwmpas di?” 32Ond roedd Iesu'n dal i edrych o gwmpas i weld pwy oedd wedi ei gyffwrdd. 33Roedd y wraig yn gwybod yn iawn beth oedd wedi digwydd iddi, ac felly dyma hi'n dod ac yn syrthio o'i flaen yn dal i grynu. Dwedodd yr hanes i gyd wrtho. 34Yna meddai e wrthi, “Wraig annwyl, am i ti gredu rwyt wedi dy iacháu. Dos adre! Bendith Duw arnat ti! Mae'r dioddef ar ben.” 35Tra roedd Iesu'n siarad, roedd rhyw bobl o dŷ Jairus wedi cyrraedd, a dweud wrtho, “Mae dy ferch wedi marw, felly does dim pwynt poeni'r athro ddim mwy.” 36Ond chymerodd Iesu ddim sylw o beth gafodd ei ddweud, dim ond dweud wrth Jairus, “Paid bod ofn; dalia i gredu.” 37Dim ond Pedr, a Iago a'i frawd Ioan gafodd fynd yn eu blaenau gyda Iesu. 38Dyma nhw'n cyrraedd cartref Jairus, ac roedd y lle mewn cynnwrf, a phobl yn crïo ac yn udo mewn galar. 39Pan aeth Iesu i mewn dwedodd wrthyn nhw, “Beth ydy'r holl sŵn yma? Pam dych chi'n crïo? Dydy'r ferch fach ddim wedi marw – cysgu mae hi!” 40Dechreuodd pobl chwerthin am ei ben, ond dyma Iesu'n eu hanfon nhw i gyd allan o'r tŷ. Yna aeth a'r tad a'r fam a'r tri disgybl i mewn i'r ystafell lle roedd y ferch fach. 41Gafaelodd yn ei llaw, a dweud wrthi, “Talitha cŵm” ▼▼5:41,42 Talitha cŵm: Mae'r geiriau yma yn yr iaith Aramaeg – un o'r ieithoedd oedd yn cael ei siarad yn Israel ar y pryd.
(sef, “Cod ar dy draed, ferch fach!”) 42A dyma'r ferch, oedd yn ddeuddeg oed, yn codi ar ei thraed a dechrau cerdded o gwmpas. Roedd y rhieni a'r disgyblion wedi eu syfrdanu'n llwyr. 43Rhybuddiodd nhw i beidio dweud wrth neb beth oedd wedi digwydd; yna dwedodd “Rhowch rywbeth i'w fwyta iddi.”

How do I do a word study?

When you click on a word, the detailed lexicon opens with:
'Vocabulary' Bibles link the translation to Greek & Hebrew. So far, only some Bibles have this vocabulary feature. They are shown in the Bible select screen with the letter 'V'.
It is the number of occurrences of a word in the Bible. Click on it to see them all in the selected Bible(s).
This reveals different forms for some words and names. These details are often interesting to scholars, eg the word 'beginning' in Genesis.
