Iesu'n iacháu dyn wedi ei barlysu
(Mathew 9:1-8; Luc 5:17-26) 1Ychydig ddyddiau wedyn, aeth Iesu yn ôl i Capernaum. Aeth y si o gwmpas ei fod wedi dod adre, 2a daeth tyrfa mor fawr i'w weld nes bod dim lle hyd yn oed i sefyll y tu allan i'r drws. Dyma Iesu'n cyhoeddi neges Duw iddyn nhw. 3Yna daeth rhyw bobl â dyn oedd wedi ei barlysu ato. Roedd pedwar yn ei gario, 4ond yn methu mynd yn agos at Iesu am fod yno gymaint o dyrfa. Felly dyma nhw'n torri twll yn y to uwch ei ben, a gollwng y dyn i lawr ar y fatras oedd yn gorwedd arni. 5Pan welodd Iesu'r ffydd oedd ganddyn nhw, dwedodd wrth y dyn oedd wedi ei barlysu, “Ffrind, mae dy bechodau wedi eu maddau.” 6Roedd rhai o'r arbenigwyr yn y Gyfraith yno. Yr hyn oedd yn mynd trwy'u meddyliau nhw oedd, 7“Sut mae'n gallu dweud y fath beth? Cabledd ydy dweud peth felly! Duw ydy'r unig un sy'n gallu maddau pechodau!” 8Roedd Iesu'n gwybod yn iawn mai dyna oedden nhw'n ei feddwl, ac meddai wrthyn nhw, “Pam dych chi'n meddwl mod i'n cablu? 9Beth ydy'r peth hawsaf i'w ddweud wrth y dyn – ‘Mae dy bechodau wedi eu maddau,’ neu, ‘Cod ar dy draed, cymer dy fatras a cherdda’? 10Cewch weld fod gen i, Fab y Dyn, hawl i faddau pechodau ar y ddaear!” A dyma Iesu'n troi at y dyn oedd wedi ei barlysu, a dweud wrtho, 11“Cod ar dy draed, cymer dy fatras, a dos adre.” 12A dyna'n union wnaeth y dyn! Cododd ar ei draed yn y fan a'r lle, cymryd ei fatras, a cherdded allan o flaen pawb. Daeth tyrfa fawr o bobl ato, ac roedd yn eu dysgu. 14Yna wrth fynd yn ei flaen, gwelodd Lefi fab Alffeus yn eistedd yn y swyddfa dollau lle roedd yn gweithio. “Tyrd, dilyn fi,” meddai Iesu wrtho; a chododd Lefi ar unwaith a mynd ar ei ôl. 15Yn nes ymlaen aeth Iesu a'i ddisgyblion am bryd o fwyd i dŷ Lefi. Roedd criw mawr o'r rhai oedd yn casglu trethi i Rufain a phobl eraill roedd y Phariseaid yn eu hystyried yn ‛bechaduriaid‛ yn y parti hefyd. (Pobl felly oedd llawer o'r rhai oedd yn dilyn Iesu). 16Wrth iddyn nhw ei weld e'n bwyta gyda ‛pechaduriaid‛ a casglwyr trethi, dyma rai o'r Phariseaid oedd yn arbenigwyr yn y Gyfraith yn gofyn i'w ddisgyblion: “Pam mae e'n bwyta gyda'r bradwyr sy'n casglu trethi i Rufain, a phobl eraill sy'n ddim byd ond ‛pechaduriaid‛?” 17Clywodd Iesu hyn, a dwedodd wrthyn nhw, “Dim pobl iach sydd angen meddyg, ond pobl sy'n sâl. Dw i wedi dod i alw pechaduriaid, dim y rhai sy'n meddwl eu bod nhw heb fai.”Holi Iesu am ymprydio
(Mathew 9:14-17; Luc 5:33-39) 18Roedd disgyblion Ioan a'r Phariseaid yn ymprydio (hynny ydy, peidio bwyta am gyfnod er mwyn ceisio canolbwyntio'n llwyr ar Dduw). Felly dyma rhyw bobl yn gofyn i Iesu, “Mae disgyblion Ioan a disgyblion y Phariseaid yn ymprydio, ond dydy dy ddisgyblion di ddim. Pam?” 19Atebodd Iesu nhw, “Dydy pobl ddim yn mynd i wledd briodas i ymprydio! Maen nhw yno i ddathlu gyda'r priodfab. Maen nhw yno i fwynhau eu hunain! 20Ond bydd y priodfab yn cael ei gymryd i ffwrdd oddi wrthyn nhw, a byddan nhw'n ymprydio bryd hynny. 21“Does neb yn trwsio hen ddilledyn gyda chlwt o frethyn newydd sydd heb shrincio. Byddai'r brethyn newydd yn tynnu ar yr hen ac yn achosi rhwyg gwaeth. 22A does neb yn tywallt gwin sydd heb aeddfedu i hen boteli crwyn. Byddai'r crwyn yn byrstio wrth i'r gwin aeddfedu, a'r poteli a'r gwin yn cael eu difetha. Na, rhaid defnyddio poteli crwyn newydd i'w ddal.”Arglwydd y Saboth
(Mathew 12:1-8; Luc 6:1-5) 23Roedd Iesu'n croesi drwy ganol caeau ŷd ryw ddydd Saboth, a dyma'i ddisgyblion yn dechrau tynnu rhai o'r tywysennau ŷd. ▼▼2:23 tynnu rhai o'r tywysennau ŷd: Roedd gan deithwyr hawl i wneud hyn.
b 24“Edrych!” meddai'r Phariseaid, “Pam mae dy ddisgyblion di yn torri rheolau'r Gyfraith ar y Saboth?” 25Atebodd Iesu nhw, “Ydych chi erioed wedi darllen beth wnaeth Dafydd pan oedd e a'i griw o ddilynwyr yn llwgu? c 26Pan oedd Abiathar yn archoffeiriad aeth i mewn i dŷ Dduw a bwyta'r bara oedd wedi ei gysegru a'i osod yn offrwm i Dduw. Mae'r Gyfraith yn dweud mai dim ond yr offeiriaid sy'n cael ei fwyta, d ond cymerodd Dafydd beth, a'i roi i'w ddilynwyr hefyd.” 27Yna dwedodd wrthyn nhw, “Cafodd y dydd Saboth ei roi er lles pobl, dim i gaethiwo pobl. 28Felly mae gen i, Fab y Dyn, hawl i ddweud beth sy'n iawn hyd yn oed ar y Saboth.”

How do I do a word study?

When you click on a word, the detailed lexicon opens with:
'Vocabulary' Bibles link the translation to Greek & Hebrew. So far, only some Bibles have this vocabulary feature. They are shown in the Bible select screen with the letter 'V'.
It is the number of occurrences of a word in the Bible. Click on it to see them all in the selected Bible(s).
This reveals different forms for some words and names. These details are often interesting to scholars, eg the word 'beginning' in Genesis.
