Amau awdurdod Iesu
(Mathew 21:23-27; Marc 11:27-33) 1Un diwrnod roedd Iesu'n dysgu'r bobl ac yn cyhoeddi'r newyddion da yn y deml. Dyma'r prif offeiriaid, yr arbenigwyr yn y Gyfraith a'r arweinwyr Iddewig eraill yn dod ato, 2a gofyn iddo, “Pa hawl sydd gen ti i wneud beth wnest ti? Pwy yn union roddodd yr awdurdod i ti?” 3Atebodd Iesu, “Gadewch i mi ofyn un cwestiwn i chi'n gyntaf. Dwedwch wrtho i – 4Ai Duw anfonodd Ioan i fedyddio neu ddim?” 5Wrth drafod y peth gyda'i gilydd, dyma nhw'n dweud, “Os atebwn ni ‘Ie’, bydd yn gofyn, ‘Pam doeddech chi ddim yn ei gredu?’ 6Ond allwn ni ddim dweud ‘Na’ … Bydd y bobl yn ein llabyddio ni â cherrig. Maen nhw'n credu'n gwbl bendant fod Ioan yn broffwyd.” 7Felly dyma nhw'n dweud eu bod nhw ddim yn gwybod yr ateb. 8“Felly dw i ddim yn mynd i ateb eich cwestiwn chi chwaith,” meddai Iesu.Stori y tenantiaid

Gosododd y winllan ar rent i rhyw ffermwyr cyn mynd i ffwrdd am amser hir. 10Pan oedd hi'n amser casglu'r grawnwin anfonodd un o'i weision i nôl y siâr roedd y tenantiaid i fod i'w rhoi iddo. Ond dyma'r tenantiaid yn curo'r gwas a'i anfon i ffwrdd heb ddim. 11Felly dyma'r dyn yn anfon gwas arall; dyma nhw'n curo hwnnw hefyd a'i gam-drin a'i anfon i ffwrdd heb ddim. 12Pan anfonodd was arall eto, dyma nhw'n anafu hwnnw'n ddifrifol a'i daflu allan. 13“‘Beth wna i?’ meddai'r dyn oedd biau'r winllan. ‘Dw i'n gwybod! Anfona i fy mab annwyl atyn nhw. Byddan nhw'n ei barchu e.’ 14“Ond pan welodd y tenantiaid y mab, dyma nhw'n dweud wrth ei gilydd: ‘Hwn sy'n mynd i etifeddu'r winllan. Os lladdwn ni hwn cawn ni'r winllan i ni'n hunain!’ 15Felly dyma nhw'n ei daflu allan o'r winllan a'i ladd. Felly beth fydd y dyn biau'r winllan yn ei wneud iddyn nhw? 16Bydd yn dod ac yn lladd y tenantiaid hynny ac yn rhoi'r winllan i bobl eraill.” Pan glywodd y bobl y stori yma, eu hymateb oedd, “Na! Byth!” 17Edrychodd Iesu i fyw eu llygaid, ac meddai, “Felly beth ydy ystyr y geiriau yma o'r ysgrifau sanctaidd: ‘Mae'r garreg wrthododd yr adeiladwyrwedi cael ei gwneud yn garreg sylfaen’ a?
18Bydd pawb sy'n baglu dros y garreg honno yn dryllio'n ddarnau, a bydd pwy bynnag mae'r garreg yn syrthio arno yn cael ei fathru.” 19Roedd yr arbenigwyr yn y Gyfraith a'r prif offeiriaid yn gwybod yn iawn ei fod yn sôn amdanyn nhw yn y stori. Roedden nhw eisiau gafael ynddo yn y fan a'r lle, ond roedd arnyn nhw ofn y bobl.

Roedden nhw'n gobeithio dal Iesu yn dweud rhywbeth o'i le, ac wedyn bydden nhw'n gallu dod â chyhuddiad yn ei erbyn o flaen y llywodraethwr Rhufeinig. 21Felly dyma'r rhai gafodd eu hanfon i geisio ei dwyllo yn gofyn iddo, “Athro, dŷn ni'n gwybod fod yr hyn rwyt ti'n ei ddweud ac yn ei ddysgu yn wir. Dwyt ti ddim yn dangos ffafriaeth, ac rwyt ti'n dysgu ffordd Duw ac yn glynu wrth yr hyn sy'n wir. 22Ydy'n iawn i ni dalu trethi i lywodraeth Rhufain?” 23Ond roedd Iesu'n gweld eu bod yn ceisio'i dwyllo. 24“Dewch â darn arian yma,” meddai wrthyn nhw. “Llun pwy sydd arno? Am bwy mae'r arysgrif yma'n sôn?” “Cesar,” medden nhw. 25“Felly,” meddai Iesu, “Rhowch beth sydd biau Cesar i Cesar, a'r hyn biau Duw i Dduw.” 26Felly roedden nhw wedi methu ei gael i ddweud unrhyw beth o'i le o flaen y bobl. Roedd ei ateb wedi eu syfrdanu'n llwyr – doedden nhw ddim yn gallu dweud dim.Priodas a bywyd ar ôl marwolaeth

Priododd yr hynaf, a buodd farw heb gael plant. 30Dyma'r ail, ac yna'r trydydd yn priodi'r weddw. Yn wir, digwyddodd yr un peth gyda'r saith – wnaeth yr un ohonyn nhw adael plentyn ar ei ôl. 32Dyma'r wraig yn marw wedyn hefyd. 33Felly dyma'n cwestiwn ni: ‘Pan fydd yr atgyfodiad yn digwydd, gwraig pwy fydd hi?’ Roedd hi wedi bod yn wraig i'r saith ohonyn nhw!” 34Atebodd Iesu, “Yn y bywyd yma mae pobl yn priodi. 35Ond yn yr oes sydd i ddod, fydd pobl ddim yn priodi – sef y bobl hynny sy'n cael eu cyfri'n deilwng i fod yn rhan ohoni ac wedi codi yn ôl yn fyw. 36A fyddan nhw ddim yn marw eto. Byddan nhw yr un fath â'r angylion yn hynny o beth. Maen nhw'n blant Duw wedi eu codi yn ôl i fywyd newydd. 37A bydd y meirw'n dod yn ôl yn fyw! Mae hyd yn oed Moses yn dangos fod hynny'n wir! Yn yr hanes am y berth yn llosgi mae'n dweud mai'r Arglwydd Dduw ydy ‘Duw Abraham, Duw Isaac a Duw Jacob’. c 38Dim Duw pobl wedi marw ydy Duw, ond Duw'r rhai sy'n fyw! Maen nhw i gyd yn fyw iddo fe!” 39Dyma rai o'r arbenigwyr yn y Gyfraith yn ymateb, “Go dda, athro! Clywch, clywch!” 40O hynny ymlaen doedd neb yn meiddio gofyn mwy o gwestiynau iddo.Mab pwy ydy'r Meseia?

Maen nhw wrth eu bodd yn cerdded o gwmpas yn swancio yn eu gwisgoedd swyddogol, ac yn hoffi cael pawb yn eu cyfarch ac yn talu sylw iddyn nhw yn sgwâr y farchnad. Mae'n rhaid iddyn nhw gael y seddi gorau yn y synagogau, ac eistedd ar y bwrdd uchaf mewn gwleddoedd. 47Maen nhw'n dwyn popeth oddi ar wragedd gweddwon ac wedyn yn ceisio rhoi'r argraff eu bod nhw'n dduwiol gyda'u gweddïau hir! How do I do a word study?

When you click on a word, the detailed lexicon opens with:
'Vocabulary' Bibles link the translation to Greek & Hebrew. So far, only some Bibles have this vocabulary feature. They are shown in the Bible select screen with the letter 'V'.
It is the number of occurrences of a word in the Bible. Click on it to see them all in the selected Bible(s).
This reveals different forms for some words and names. These details are often interesting to scholars, eg the word 'beginning' in Genesis.
