Cosb am fod yn anufudd i reolau Duw
1Dyma'r Arglwydd yn dweud wrth Moses: 2“Dywed wrth bobl Israel: Os ydy unrhyw un o bobl Israel, neu unrhyw un arall sy'n byw gyda nhw, yn aberthu un o'i blant i'r duw Molech, y gosb ydy marwolaeth. Rhaid i bobl daflu cerrig ato nes bydd wedi marw. 3Bydda i'n troi yn erbyn person felly. Bydd e'n cael ei dorri allan o gymdeithas pobl Dduw, am roi ei blentyn i Molech, llygru'r cysegr, a sarhau fy enw sanctaidd i. 4Os bydd pobl y wlad yn diystyru'r peth pan mae rhywun yn rhoi ei blentyn i Molech, a ddim yn ei roi i farwolaeth, 5bydda i fy hun yn troi yn erbyn y dyn hwnnw a'i deulu. Byddan nhw'n cael eu torri allan o gymdeithas pobl Dduw. Dyna fydd yn digwydd iddo, ac i bawb arall sy'n gwneud yr un fath ac yn puteinio drwy addoli'r duw Molech. 6Neu os ydy rhywun yn mynd ar ôl ysbrydion neu'n ceisio siarad â'r meirw, bydda i'n troi yn erbyn y person hwnnw, a bydd e'n cael ei dorri allan o gymdeithas pobl Dduw 7Rhaid i chi gysegru'ch hunain i mi, a bod yn sanctaidd. Fi ydy'r Arglwydd eich Duw chi. 8Byddwch yn ufudd i mi, a gwneud beth dw i'n ddweud. Fi ydy'r Arglwydd sy'n eich cysegru chi yn bobl i mi fy hun.9Os ydy rhywun yn melltithio ei dad neu ei fam, y gosb ydy marwolaeth. Fe ei hun sydd ar fai.
10Os ydy rhywun yn cysgu gyda gwraig dyn arall, y gosb ydy marwolaeth i'r ddau ohonyn nhw.
11Mae dyn sy'n cael rhyw gyda gwraig ei dad yn amharchu ei dad. Y gosb ydy marwolaeth i'r ddau. Arnyn nhw mae'r bai.
12Os ydy dyn yn cael rhyw gyda'i ferch-yng-nghyfraith, y gosb ydy marwolaeth i'r ddau. Maen nhw wedi gwneud peth ffiaidd. Arnyn nhw mae'r bai.
13Os ydy dyn yn cael rhyw gyda dyn arall, mae'r ddau wedi gwneud peth ffiaidd. Y gosb ydy marwolaeth i'r ddau. Arnyn nhw mae'r bai.
14Mae hefyd yn beth cwbl ffiaidd i ddyn gael rhyw gyda gwraig a'i mam. Y gosb ydy llosgi'r tri ohonyn nhw i farwolaeth. Does dim byd ffiaidd fel yma i ddigwydd yn eich plith chi.
15Os ydy dyn yn cael rhyw gydag anifail, y gosb ydy marwolaeth. Ac mae'r anifail i gael ei ladd hefyd.
16Os ydy gwraig yn mynd at anifail i gael rhyw gydag e, y gosb ydy marwolaeth. Rhaid i'r wraig a'r anifail farw. Arnyn nhw mae'r bai.
17Mae'n beth gwarthus i ddyn gael rhyw gyda'i chwaer (merch i'w dad neu i'w fam), a'r ddau yn gweld ei gilydd yn noeth. Byddan nhw'n cael eu torri allan o gymdeithas pobl Dduw. Mae'r dyn wedi amharchu ei chwaer, ac mae'n rhaid iddo gael ei gosbi.
18Os ydy dyn yn cael rhyw gyda gwraig sy'n diodde o'r misglwyf, mae ffynhonnell ei gwaedlif wedi ei amlygu. Bydd y ddau ohonyn nhw yn cael eu torri allan o gymdeithas pobl Dduw.
19Paid cael rhyw gyda chwaer dy fam neu chwaer dy dad. Mae gwneud hynny yn amharchu perthynas agos. Byddan nhw'n cael eu cosbi am eu pechod.
20Os ydy dyn yn cael rhyw gyda gwraig ei ewythr, mae e'n amharchu ei ewythr. Maen nhw'n gyfrifol am eu pechod. Byddan nhw'n marw heb gael plant.
21Mae'n beth anweddus i ddyn gymryd gwraig ei frawd. Mae e'n amharchu ei frawd. Byddan nhw'n methu cael plant.
22“Byddwch yn ufudd a chadw fy rheolau i gyd, er mwyn i'r tir dw i'n mynd â chi i fyw ynddo beidio eich chwydu chi allan. 23Peidiwch gwneud yr un fath â phobl y wlad dw i'n eu gyrru allan o'ch blaen chi. Roeddwn i'n eu ffieiddio nhw am wneud y fath bethau. 24Ond dw i wedi dweud wrthoch chi: Dw i wedi addo rhoi eu tir nhw i chi. Mae'n dir ffrwythlon – tir lle mae llaeth a mêl yn llifo. Fi ydy'r Arglwydd eich Duw chi. Dw i wedi eich dewis chi i fod yn wahanol i'r gwledydd eraill. 25Dyna pam mae'n rhaid i chi wahaniaethu rhwng yr anifeiliaid a'r adar sy'n lân a'r rhai sy'n aflan. Peidiwch llygru eich hunain drwy fwyta unrhyw anifail neu aderyn neu greadur arall dw i wedi dweud wrthoch chi ei fod yn aflan. 26Rhaid i chi gysegru'ch hunain i mi. Dw i, yr Arglwydd yn sanctaidd, a dw i wedi'ch dewis chi i fod y bobl i mi, ac yn wahanol i'r gwledydd eraill i gyd. 27“Os oes dyn neu wraig sy'n codi ysbrydion neu'n galw'r meirw yn ôl yn byw yn eich plith chi, y gosb am wneud peth felly ydy marwolaeth. Rhaid eu lladd drwy daflu cerrig atyn nhw. Arnyn nhw mae'r bai.”

How do I do a word study?

When you click on a word, the detailed lexicon opens with:
'Vocabulary' Bibles link the translation to Greek & Hebrew. So far, only some Bibles have this vocabulary feature. They are shown in the Bible select screen with the letter 'V'.
It is the number of occurrences of a word in the Bible. Click on it to see them all in the selected Bible(s).
This reveals different forms for some words and names. These details are often interesting to scholars, eg the word 'beginning' in Genesis.
