Judges 4
Debora
1Ond ar ôl i Ehwd farw, dyma bobl Israel unwaith eto yn gwneud beth oedd yn ddrwg yng ngolwg yr Arglwydd. 2A dyma fe'n gadael i Jabin eu rheoli nhw – un o frenhinoedd Canaan, oedd yn teyrnasu yn Chatsor. Enw cadfridog ei fyddin oedd Sisera ac roedd yn byw yn Haroseth-hagoïm. 3Dyma bobl Israel yn gweiddi ar yr Arglwydd am help am fod y brenin Jabin wedi eu cam-drin nhw'n ofnadwy ers ugain mlynedd. Roedd naw cant o gerbydau rhyfel haearn gan ei fyddin. 4Debora, gwraig Lappidoth, oedd yn arwain Israel ar y pryd. Roedd hi'n broffwydes. 5Byddai'n eistedd i farnu achosion pobl Israel dan Goeden Balmwydd Debora oedd rhwng Rama a Bethel ym mryniau Effraim. Byddai'r bobl yn dod ati yno, i ofyn iddi setlo achosion rhyngddyn nhw. 6Dyma hi'n anfon am Barac fab Abinoam o Cedesh ar dir llwyth Nafftali. Ac meddai wrtho, “Mae'r Arglwydd, Duw Israel, yn gorchymyn i ti fynd â deg mil o ddynion o lwythau Nafftali a Sabulon i fynydd Tabor, i baratoi i fynd i ryfel. 7Bydda i'n arwain Sisera, cadfridog byddin y brenin Jabin, atat ti at Afon Cison. Bydd yn dod yno gyda'i gerbydau rhyfel a'i fyddin enfawr. Ond ti fydd yn ennill y frwydr.” 8Atebodd Barac, “Dw i ddim ond yn fodlon mynd os ei di gyda mi.” 9“Iawn,” meddai hi, “gwna i fynd gyda ti. Ond os mai dyna dy agwedd di fyddi di'n cael dim o'r clod. Bydd yr Arglwydd yn trefnu mai gwraig fydd yn delio gyda Sisera.” Felly aeth Debora gyda Barac i Cedesh. 10A dyma Barac yn galw byddin at ei gilydd o lwythau Sabulon a Nafftali. Aeth deg mil o ddynion gydag e ac aeth Debora gydag e hefyd. 11Roedd Heber y Cenead wedi symud i ffwrdd oddi wrth weddill y Ceneaid (disgynyddion Chobab, oedd yn perthyn trwy briodas i Moses). Roedd yn byw wrth dderwen Saänannim, heb fod yn bell o Cedesh. 12Pan glywodd Sisera fod Barac fab Abinoam wedi arwain byddin at Fynydd Tabor, 13dyma fe'n galw'r fyddin gyfan oedd ganddo yn Haroseth-hagoïm at ei gilydd. Yna eu harwain, gyda'r naw cant o gerbydau rhyfel haearn, at Afon Cison. 14Yna dyma Debora yn dweud wrth Barac, “I ffwrdd a ti! Heddiw mae'r Arglwydd yn mynd i roi Sisera yn dy ddwylo di! Mae'r Arglwydd ei hun wedi mynd o dy flaen di!” Felly dyma Barac yn mynd yn syth ac arwain ei fyddin o ddeg mil i lawr llethrau Mynydd Tabor. 15A dyma'r Arglwydd yn gwneud i Sisera a'i holl gerbydau a'i fyddin banicio. Dyma Barac a'i fyddin yn ymosod arnyn nhw. (Roedd Sisera ei hun wedi gadael ei gerbyd, a ceisio dianc ar droed.) 16Aeth byddin Barac ar eu holau yr holl ffordd i Haroseth-hagoïm, a cafodd milwyr Sisera i gyd eu lladd – gafodd dim un ei adael yn fyw. 17Yn y cyfamser roedd Sisera wedi dianc i babell Jael, gwraig Heber y Cenead. (Roedd y Brenin Jabin o Chatsor wedi gwneud cytundeb heddwch gyda llwyth Heber.) 18Aeth Jael allan i'w groesawu a dweud wrtho, “Tyrd yma, syr. Tyrd i orffwys yma gyda mi. Paid bod ag ofn!” Felly dyma Sisera yn mynd i mewn i'r babell a dyma Jael yn rhoi blanced drosto. 19Dyma fe'n gofyn iddi, “Ga i ddiod o ddŵr? Dw i'n marw o syched.” Agorodd botel o groen gafr a rhoi diod o laeth iddo. Yna rhoddodd y flanced drosto eto. 20“Dos i sefyll wrth fynedfa'r babell,” meddai Sisera wrthi. “Os bydd rhywun yn gofyn i ti oes yna rywun yn y babell dywed ‘Na’ wrthyn nhw.” 21Roedd Sisera wedi ymlâdd ac wedi syrthio i gysgu'n drwm. A dyma Jael yn cymryd peg pabell a morthwyl a mynd at Sisera'n dawel bach. Yna dyma hi'n bwrw'r peg drwy ochr ei ben i'r ddaear, a'i ladd. 22Roedd Barac wedi bod yn dilyn Sisera. Pan gyrhaeddodd dyma Jael yn mynd allan i'w gyfarfod a dweud wrtho, “Tyrd yma i mi ddangos i ti'r dyn ti'n edrych amdano.” Aeth Barac i mewn i'r babell gyda hi a dyna lle roedd Sisera yn gorwedd yn farw, gyda peg pabell wedi ei fwrw drwy ei ben. 23Y diwrnod hwnnw roedd Duw wedi gwneud i Israel drechu'r Brenin Jabin o Canaan. 24Ac o hynny ymlaen dyma'r Israeliaid yn taro'r Brenin Jabin yn galetach ac yn galetach, nes yn y diwedd roedden nhw wedi ei ddinistrio'n llwyr.
