1“Peidiwch cynhyrfu,” meddai Iesu wrth y disgyblion “Credwch yn Nuw, a chredwch ynof fi hefyd.” ▼▼14:1 Credwch yn Nuw … hefyd: Neu, Dych chi'n credu yn Nuw, felly credwch ynof fi hefyd.
2“Mae digon o le i fyw yn nhŷ fy Nhad; byddwn i wedi dweud wrthoch chi os oedd hi fel arall. Dw i'n mynd yno i baratoi lle ar eich cyfer chi. 3Wedyn dw i'n mynd i ddod yn ôl, a bydda i'n mynd â chi yno gyda mi, a chewch chi aros yno gyda mi. 4Dych chi'n gwybod y ffordd i ble dw i'n mynd.” 5“Ond Arglwydd,” meddai Tomos “dŷn ni ddim yn gwybod ble rwyt ti'n mynd, felly sut allwn ni wybod y ffordd yno?” 6“Fi ydy'r ffordd,” atebodd Iesu, “Fi ydy'r un gwir, y bywyd. Does neb yn gallu dod i berthynas gyda Duw y Tad ond trwof fi. 7Os dych chi wedi dod i fy nabod i, byddwch yn nabod fy Nhad hefyd. Yn wir, dych chi yn ei nabod e bellach, ac wedi ei weld.” 8“Arglwydd,” meddai Philip, “dangos y Tad i ni, a fydd angen dim mwy arnon ni!” 9Atebodd Iesu: “Dw i wedi bod gyda chi i gyd ers cymaint o amser! Wyt ti'n dal ddim yn fy nabod i, Philip? Mae pwy bynnag sydd wedi fy ngweld i wedi gweld y Tad. Felly sut alli di ddweud, ‘Dangos y Tad i ni’? 10Wyt ti ddim yn credu fy mod i yn y Tad, a bod y Tad ynof fi? Dw i ddim yn dweud pethau ar fy liwt fy hun. Y Tad, sy'n byw ynof fi, sydd ar waith. 11Credwch beth dw i'n ddweud – dw i yn y Tad ac mae'r Tad ynof fi. Os ydy fy ngeiriau i ddim yn ddigon, dylech chi o leia gredu o achos y pethau dw i'n eu gwneud. 12Credwch chi fi, bydd pwy bynnag sy'n credu ynof fi yn gwneud yr un pethau ag ydw i wedi bod yn eu gwneud. Yn wir, byddan nhw'n gwneud llawer iawn mwy, am fy mod i yn mynd at y Tad. 13Bydda i'n gwneud beth bynnag ofynnwch chi am awdurdod i'w wneud, fel bod y Mab yn anrhydeddu'r Tad. 14Cewch ofyn i mi am awdurdod i wneud unrhyw beth, ac fe'i gwnaf. 15“Os dych chi'n fy ngharu i, byddwch yn gwneud beth dw i'n ei ddweud. 16Bydda i'n gofyn i'r Tad, a bydd e'n rhoi un arall fydd yn sefyll gyda ▼▼14:16 sefyll gyda: Mae'r gair Groeg yn gallu golygu ‛cysuro‛, ‛annog‛, neu ‛amddiffyn‛.

Am fy mod i'n mynd i fyw eto, bydd gynnoch chithau fywyd. 20Byddwch yn sylweddoli y diwrnod hwnnw fy mod i yn y Tad. A byddwch chi ynof fi a minnau ynoch chi. 21Y rhai sy'n derbyn beth dw i'n ei ddweud ac yn gwneud beth dw i'n ddweud ydy'r rhai sy'n fy ngharu i. Bydd y Tad yn caru y rhai sy'n fy ngharu i, a bydda i yn eu caru nhw hefyd, ac yn egluro fy hun iddyn nhw.” 22“Ond, Arglwydd,” meddai Jwdas (dim Jwdas Iscariot), “Sut dy fod di am ddangos dy hun i ni ond ddim i'r byd?” 23Atebodd Iesu, “Bydd y rhai sy'n fy ngharu i yn gwneud beth dw i'n ddweud wrthyn nhw. Bydd fy Nhad yn eu caru nhw, a byddwn ni'n dod atyn nhw i fyw gyda nhw. 24Fydd pwy bynnag sydd ddim yn fy ngharu ddim yn gwneud beth dw i'n ddweud. A dim fy neges i fy hun dw i'n ei rhannu, ond neges gan y Tad sydd wedi fy anfon i. 25“Dw i wedi dweud y pethau hyn tra dw i'n dal gyda chi. 26Ond mae un fydd yn sefyll gyda chi, sef yr Ysbryd Glân mae'r Tad yn mynd i'w anfon ar fy rhan. Bydd e'n dysgu popeth i chi ac yn eich atgoffa o bopeth dw i wedi ei ddweud. 27Heddwch – dyna dw i'n ei roi yn rhodd i chi; yr heddwch go iawn sydd gen i, a neb arall, i'w roi. Dw i ddim yn rhoi heddwch yn yr un ffordd a'r byd. Peidiwch cynhyrfu, a peidiwch bod yn llwfr. 28“Dych chi wedi clywed fi'n dweud, ‘Dw i'n mynd i ffwrdd, a dw i'n mynd i ddod yn ôl atoch chi.’ Petaech chi wir yn fy ngharu i, byddech yn falch fy mod i'n mynd at y Tad, achos mae'r Tad yn fwy na fi. 29Dw i wedi dweud nawr, cyn i'r peth ddigwydd, er mwyn i chi gredu pan fydd yn digwydd. 30Does gen i ddim llawer mwy o amser i siarad â chi, am fod Satan, tywysog y byd hwn, ar ei ffordd. Ond does ganddo ddim awdurdod drosof fi. 31Rhaid i'r byd weld fy mod i'n caru'r Tad ac yn gwneud yn union beth mae'r Tad yn ei ddweud. “Dewch, gadewch i ni fynd.”

How do I do a word study?

When you click on a word, the detailed lexicon opens with:
'Vocabulary' Bibles link the translation to Greek & Hebrew. So far, only some Bibles have this vocabulary feature. They are shown in the Bible select screen with the letter 'V'.
It is the number of occurrences of a word in the Bible. Click on it to see them all in the selected Bible(s).
This reveals different forms for some words and names. These details are often interesting to scholars, eg the word 'beginning' in Genesis.
