1Yn y bedwaredd flwyddyn pan oedd Jehoiacim fab Joseia yn frenin ar Jwda ▼▼36:1 y bedwaredd … ar Jwda 604–605 CC
, dyma'r Arglwydd yn rhoi'r neges yma i Jeremeia: 2“Cymer sgrôl ▼▼36:2 sgrôl Rholyn o bapurfrwyn neu ledr gydag ysgrifen arno.
, ac ysgrifennu arni bopeth dw i wedi ei ddweud wrthot ti am Israel a Jwda a'r gwledydd eraill i gyd. Ysgrifenna bopeth dw i wedi ei ddweud ers i mi ddechrau siarad gyda ti yn y cyfnod pan oedd Joseia yn frenin. 3Pan fydd pobl Jwda yn clywed am yr holl bethau ofnadwy dw i'n bwriadu ei wneud iddyn nhw, falle y byddan nhw'n stopio gwneud yr holl bethau drwg maen nhw'n eu gwneud, a bydda i'n maddau iddyn nhw am y drwg a'r pechod maen nhw wedi ei wneud.” 4Felly dyma Jeremeia yn galw am Barŵch fab Nereia i'w helpu. Wrth i Jeremeia adrodd pob un neges roedd yr Arglwydd wedi ei roi iddo, roedd Barŵch yn ysgrifennu'r cwbl i lawr ar y sgrôl. 5Wedyn dyma Jeremeia yn dweud wrth Barŵch, “Dw i'n cael fy rhwystro rhag mynd i mewn i deml yr Arglwydd. 6Felly dos di yno y tro nesa mae pobl trefi Jwda yn mynd i ymprydio. Dw i eisiau i ti ddarllen yn gyhoeddus yr holl negeseuon rwyt ti wedi eu hysgrifennu yn y sgrôl, yn union fel gwnes i eu hadrodd nhw. 7Falle y gwnân nhw bledio ar yr Arglwydd i faddau iddyn nhw, ac y gwnân nhw stopio gwneud y pethau drwg maen nhw wedi bod yn eu gwneud. Mae'r Arglwydd wedi dweud yn glir ei fod e wedi gwylltio'n lân gyda nhw.” 8Felly dyma Barŵch yn gwneud yn union fel roedd Jeremeia wedi dweud wrtho. Aeth i deml yr Arglwydd a darllen negeseuon yr Arglwydd o'r sgrôl. 9Roedd pobl Jerwsalem a'r holl bobl oedd wedi dod i mewn o drefi Jwda yn cynnal ympryd. Roedd hyn yn y nawfed mis ▼▼36:9 nawfed mis Cislef, sef nawfed mis y calendr Hebreig, o tua canol Tachwedd i ganol Rhagfyr.

Jeremeia 26:24. Cafodd Gedaleia (mab Achicam, a nai i Gemareia), ei wneud yn llywodraethwr Jwda ar ôl i Jerwsalem gael ei choncro yn 586 CC – gw. 2 Brenhinoedd 25:22

11Dyma Michaia (mab Gemareia ac ŵyr i Shaffan) yn clywed Barŵch yn darllen y negeseuon gan yr Arglwydd oedd yn y sgrôl. 12Felly aeth i lawr i balas y brenin, a mynd i ystafell yr ysgrifennydd brenhinol. Roedd swyddogion y llys brenhinol yno i gyd mewn cyfarfod: Elishama yr ysgrifennydd, Delaia fab Shemaia, Elnathan fab Achbor, Gemareia fab Shaffan, Sedeceia fab Chananeia a'r swyddogion eraill. 13Dyma Michaia yn dweud wrthyn nhw am bopeth roedd Barŵch wedi ei ddarllen yn gyhoeddus o'r sgrôl. 14Felly dyma swyddogion y llys yn anfon Iehwdi (oedd yn fab i Nethaneia, ŵyr i Shelemeia, ac yn or-ŵyr i Cwshi) at Barŵch i'w nôl ac i ddweud wrtho am ddod â'r sgrôl oedd e wedi ei darllen gydag e. Felly dyma Barŵch yn mynd atyn nhw a'r sgrôl gydag e. 15“Eistedd i lawr a darllen y sgrôl i ni,” medden nhw. Felly dyma Barŵch yn ei darllen iddyn nhw. 16Roedden nhw i gyd wedi dychryn yn lân pan glywon nhw'r negeseuon. “Rhaid i ni ddweud wrth y brenin am hyn i gyd,” medden nhw. 17Yna dyma nhw'n gofyn i Barŵch, “Dywed wrthon ni, sut gest ti'r negeseuon yma i gyd? Ai pethau ddwedodd Jeremeia ydyn nhw?” 18“Ie,” meddai Barŵch, “roedd Jeremeia'n adrodd y cwbl, a finnau wedyn yn ysgrifennu'r cwbl mewn inc ar y sgrôl.” 19A dyma'r swyddogion yn dweud wrth Barŵch, “Rhaid i ti a Jeremeia fynd i guddio, a peidio gadael i neb wybod ble ydych chi.”Y Brenin Jehoiacim yn llosgi'r Sgrôl
20Dyma nhw'n cadw'r sgrôl yn saff yn ystafell Elishama yr ysgrifennydd brenhinol. Wedyn aethon nhw i ddweud wrth y brenin am y cwbl. 21Dyma'r brenin yn anfon Iehwdi i nôl y sgrôl. Aeth Iehwdi i'w nôl o ystafell Elishama, ac yna ei darllen i'r brenin a'r swyddogion oedd yn sefyll o'i gwmpas. 22Y nawfed mis ▼▼36:22 nawfed mis Cislef, sef nawfed mis y calendr Hebreig, o tua canol Tachwedd i ganol Rhagfyr.
oedd hi, ac roedd y brenin yn eistedd yn y gaeafdy lle roedd tân yn llosgi mewn padell dân o'i flaen. 23Bob tro roedd Iehwdi wedi darllen tair neu bedair colofn byddai'r brenin yn eu torri i ffwrdd gyda chyllell fach a'u taflu i'r tân yn y badell. Gwnaeth hyn nes oedd y sgrôl gyfan wedi ei llosgi. 24Wnaeth y brenin a'i swyddogion ddim cynhyrfu o gwbl pan glywon nhw'r negeseuon, a wnaethon nhw ddim rhwygo eu dillad i ddangos eu bod nhw'n edifar. 25Roedd Elnathan, Delaia a Gemareia wedi pledio ar y brenin i beidio llosgi'r sgrôl, ond wnaeth e ddim gwrando arnyn nhw. 26A dyma'r brenin yn gorchymyn i Ierachmeël (un o'r tywysogion brenhinol), Seraia fab Asriel a Shelemeia fab Abdeël, arestio Barŵch y copïwr a Jeremeia'r proffwyd. Ond roedd yr Arglwydd wedi eu cuddio nhw. Jeremeia a Barŵch yn ysgrifennu sgrôl arall.
27Ar ôl i'r brenin losgi'r sgrôl (sef yr un roedd Barŵch wedi ysgrifennu arni bopeth oedd Jeremeia wedi ei ddweud), dyma'r Arglwydd yn dweud wrth Jeremeia: 28“Cymer sgrôl arall, ac ysgrifennu arni bopeth oedd ar y sgrôl wreiddiol gafodd ei llosgi gan Jehoiacim. 29Yna dywed wrth Jehoiacim, brenin Jwda fy mod i, yr Arglwydd, yn dweud: ‘Rwyt wedi llosgi'r sgrôl, a gofyn i Jeremeia pam wnaeth e ysgrifennu arni fod brenin Babilon yn mynd i ddod i ddinistrio'r wlad yma, a chipio pobl ac anifeiliaid ohoni.’ 30Felly dyma mae'r Arglwydd yn ei ddweud am Jehoiacim, brenin Jwda: ‘Fydd neb o'i ddisgynyddion yn eistedd ar orsedd Dafydd. Pan fydd e farw fydd ei gorff ddim yn cael ei gladdu – bydd yn cael ei daflu i orwedd allan yn haul poeth y dydd a barrug y nos. 31Dw i'n mynd i'w gosbi e a'i ddisgynyddion a'i swyddogion am yr holl bethau drwg maen nhw wedi eu gwneud. Bydda i'n eu taro nhw (a pobl Jerwsalem a Jwda) hefo pob dinistr dw i wedi ei fygwth, am iddyn nhw ddal i wrthod gwrando.’” 32Felly dyma Jeremeia'n rhoi sgrôl arall i Barŵch fab Nereia, y copïwr. A dyma Barŵch yn ysgrifennu arni bopeth oedd Jeremeia'n ei ddweud – y negeseuon oedd ar y sgrôl gafodd ei llosgi gan Jehoiacim, brenin Jwda. A cafodd llawer o negeseuon eraill tebyg eu hychwanegu.

When you click on a word, the detailed lexicon opens with:
'Vocabulary' Bibles link the translation to Greek & Hebrew. So far, only some Bibles have this vocabulary feature. They are shown in the Bible select screen with the letter 'V'.
It is the number of occurrences of a word in the Bible. Click on it to see them all in the selected Bible(s).
This reveals different forms for some words and names. These details are often interesting to scholars, eg the word 'beginning' in Genesis.
