Neges i Sedeceia, brenin Jwda
1Roedd Nebwchadnesar, brenin Babilon, a'i fyddin (oedd yn cynnwys milwyr o'r holl wledydd roedd wedi eu concro) yn ymosod ar Jerwsalem a'r trefi o'i chwmpas. A dyna pryd rhoddodd yr Arglwydd neges arall i Jeremeia, 2a dweud wrtho am fynd i ddweud wrth Sedeceia, brenin Jwda: “Dyma mae'r Arglwydd yn ei ddweud: ‘Dw i'n mynd i roi'r ddinas yma yn nwylo brenin Babilon, a bydd yn ei llosgi'n ulw. 3A fyddi di ddim yn dianc o'i afael. Byddi'n cael dy ddal ac yn cael dy osod i sefyll dy brawf o'i flaen a'i wynebu'n bersonol. Wedyn byddi'n cael dy gymryd i Babilon.’ 4Ond gwrando ar beth mae'r Arglwydd yn ei ddweud amdanat ti, Sedeceia, brenin Jwda. Mae'n dweud: ‘Fyddi di ddim yn cael dy ddienyddio. 5Byddi'n cael marw'n dawel. Byddan nhw'n llosgi arogldarth yn dy angladd di, yn union fel gwnaethon nhw i'r brenhinoedd oedd o dy flaen di. Byddan nhw'n wylo ac yn galaru ar dy ôl di, “O! ein meistr!” Dw i'n addo i ti. Fi, yr Arglwydd, sy'n dweud hyn.’” 6Felly, dyma'r proffwyd Jeremeia yn dweud hyn i gyd wrth Sedeceia, brenin Jwda. 7Roedd byddin brenin Babilon yn dal i ymladd yn erbyn Jerwsalem ar y pryd, ac hefyd yn erbyn Lachish ac Aseca ▼▼34:7 Lachish ac Aseca Roedd Lachish 23 milltir i'r de-ddwyrain o Jerwsalem, ac Aseca 18 milltir i'r gogledd o Lachish.

8Cafodd Jeremeia neges arall gan yr Arglwydd ar ôl i'r brenin Sedeceia ymrwymo gyda'r bobl yn Jerwsalem i ollwng eu caethweision yn rhydd. 9Roedd pawb i fod i ryddhau y dynion a'r merched oedd yn gaethweision. b Doedd neb i fod i gadw un o'u pobl eu hunain o Jwda yn gaeth. 10Cytunodd pawb, yr arweinwyr a'r bobl i gyd, ac ymrwymo i ollwng eu caethweision yn rhydd – y dynion a'r merched oedd wedi bod yn gweithio iddyn nhw. Ar y dechrau dyma nhw'n gwneud beth roedden nhw wedi ei addo. 11Ond ar ôl hynny dyma nhw'n newid eu meddyliau, a cymryd y dynion a'r merched yn ôl, a'u gorfodi i weithio fel caethweision eto. 12Dyna pryd rhoddodd yr Arglwydd y neges yma i Jeremeia: 13“Dyma mae'r Arglwydd, Duw Israel, yn ei ddweud: ‘Pan ddes i â'ch hynafiaid chi allan o'r Aifft, a'u rhyddhau nhw o fod yn gaethweision, gwnes i gytundeb gyda nhw: 14“Bob saith mlynedd rhaid i chi ollwng yn rhydd eich cydwladwyr Hebreig sydd wedi gwerthu eu hunain i chi ac wedi'ch gwasanaethu chi am chwe mlynedd.” c Ond wnaeth eich hynafiaid ddim gwrando na chymryd unrhyw sylw ohono i. 15Ond yna'n ddiweddar dyma chi'n newid eich ffyrdd a gwneud beth roeddwn i eisiau. Dyma chi'n gadael i'ch cydwladwyr fynd yn rhydd, ac mewn seremoni yn y deml ymrwymo i gadw at hynny. 16Ond wedyn dyma chi'n newid eich meddwl eto a dangos bod gynnoch chi ddim parch ata i go iawn. Dyma chi'n cymryd y dynion a'r merched oedd wedi cael eu gollwng yn rhydd i fyw eu bywydau eu hunain, a'u gwneud nhw'n gaethweision unwaith eto! 17“‘Felly, dyma dw i, yr Arglwydd, yn ei ddweud: “Dych chi ddim wedi gwrando arna i go iawn. Dych chi ddim wedi gollwng eich cymdogion a'ch cydwladwyr yn rhydd. Felly dw i'n mynd roi rhyddid i ryfel, newyn a haint eich lladd chi.” Fi, yr Arglwydd sy'n dweud hyn. “Bydd beth fydd yn digwydd i chi yn dychryn pobl y gwledydd i gyd. 18Bydda i'n cosbi'r bobl hynny sydd wedi torri amodau'r ymrwymiad. Bydda i'n eu gwneud nhw fel y llo gafodd ei dorri yn ei hanner ganddyn nhw wrth dyngu'r llw a cherdded rhwng y darnau. ▼▼34:18 y llo … y darnau Mae hyn yn adlewyrchu'r ffordd roedd ymrwymiad o'r fath yn cael ei gadarnhau yn seremonïol. gw. 19Bydda i'n cosbi swyddogion Jwda, swyddogion Jerwsalem, swyddogion y llys brenhinol, yr offeiriaid, a phawb arall wnaeth gerdded rhwng y darnau o'r llo. 20Byddan nhw'n cael eu rhoi yn nwylo'r gelynion sydd am eu lladd nhw. Bydd eu cyrff yn fwyd i adar ac anifeiliaid gwylltion. 21Bydd y brenin Sedeceia a'i swyddogion yn cael eu rhoi yn nwylo'r gelynion hefyd. Mae brenin Babilon a'i fyddin wedi mynd i ffwrdd a stopio ymosod arnoch chi am y tro. 22Ond dw i, yr Arglwydd, yn mynd i orchymyn iddyn nhw ddod yn ôl yn fuan iawn. Byddan nhw'n ymladd yn erbyn y ddinas yma, yn ei choncro, ac yn ei llosgi'n ulw. Bydd trefi Jwda yn cael eu dinistrio'n llwyr, a fydd neb yn byw yno.”’”

When you click on a word, the detailed lexicon opens with:
'Vocabulary' Bibles link the translation to Greek & Hebrew. So far, only some Bibles have this vocabulary feature. They are shown in the Bible select screen with the letter 'V'.
It is the number of occurrences of a word in the Bible. Click on it to see them all in the selected Bible(s).
This reveals different forms for some words and names. These details are often interesting to scholars, eg the word 'beginning' in Genesis.
