1Dyma lythyr Jeremeia at yr arweinwyr oedd ar ôl, yr offeiriaid a'r proffwydi, a phawb arall o Jerwsalem oedd wedi eu cymryd yn gaeth i Babilon gan y brenin Nebwchadnesar ▼▼29:1 cymryd yn gaeth … Nebwchadnesar Roedd hyn wedi digwydd yn 598 CC – 2 Brenhinoedd 24:14-17

a'r fam frenhines, swyddogion y palas brenhinol, arweinwyr Jwda a Jerwsalem, y seiri coed a'r gweithwyr metel i gyd gael eu cymryd i ffwrdd yn gaeth o Jerwsalem.) 3Elasa fab Shaffan ▼▼29:3 Elasa fab Shaffan Aelod o deulu dylanwadol iawn. Brawd i Achicam oedd wedi cefnogi Jeremeia flynyddoedd ynghynt, ac ewyrth i Gedaleia, gafodd ei wneud yn llywodraethwr Jwda ar ôl i Jerwsalem gael ei choncro yn 586 CC
a Gemareia fab Chilceia aeth a'r llythyr yno. Roedden nhw wedi eu hanfon i Babilon at Nebwchadnesar gan Sedeceia, brenin Jwda. Dyma'r llythyr: 4Dyma mae'r Arglwydd holl-bwerus, Duw Israel, yn ei ddweud wrth y bobl mae wedi eu hanfon yn gaeth o Jerwsalem i Babilon: 5“Adeiladwch dai a setlo i lawr. Plannwch erddi a bwyta'r hyn sy'n tyfu ynddyn nhw. 6Priodwch a chael plant. Dewiswch wragedd i'ch meibion a gadael i'ch merched briodi, er mwyn iddyn nhw hefyd gael plant. Dw i eisiau i'ch niferoedd chi dyfu, yn lle lleihau. 7Gweithiwch dros heddwch a llwyddiant y ddinas ble dw i wedi mynd â chi'n gaeth. Gweddïwch ar yr Arglwydd drosti. Ei llwyddiant hi fydd eich llwyddiant chi.”8Achos dyma mae'r Arglwydd holl-bwerus, Duw Israel, yn ei ddweud: “Peidiwch gadael i'r proffwydi sydd gyda chi, a'r rhai hynny sy'n dweud ffortiwn, eich twyllo chi. Peidiwch cymryd sylw o'u breuddwydion. d 9Maen nhw'n hawlio eu bod nhw'n siarad drosta i, ond yn dweud celwydd! Wnes i ddim eu hanfon nhw,” meddai'r Arglwydd.
10Dyma mae'r Arglwydd yn ei ddweud: “Pan fydd Babilon wedi rheoli am saith deg mlynedd e bydda i'n cymryd sylw ohonoch chi eto. Dyna pryd y bydda i'n gwneud y pethau da dw i wedi eu haddo, a dod â chi yn ôl yma i'ch gwlad eich hunain. 11Fi sy'n gwybod beth dw i wedi ei gynllunio ar eich cyfer chi,” meddai'r Arglwydd. “Dw i'n bwriadu eich bendithio chi, dim gwneud niwed i chi. Dw i am roi dyfodol llawn gobaith i chi. f 12Byddwch yn galw arna i ac yn gweddïo, a bydda i'n gwrando. 13Os byddwch chi'n chwilio amdana i o ddifri, â'ch holl galon g, byddwch chi'n fy ffeindio i. 14Bydda i'n gadael i chi ddod o hyd i mi,” meddai'r Arglwydd. “Bydda i'n rhoi'r cwbl wnaethoch chi ei golli yn ôl i chi. Bydda i'n eich casglu chi yn ôl o'r holl wledydd wnes i eich gyrru chi i ffwrdd iddyn nhw. Bydda i'n dod â chi adre i'ch gwlad eich hunain.”
15“Ond mae'r Arglwydd wedi rhoi proffwydi i ni yma yn Babilon,” meddech chi. 16Felly gwrandwch beth mae'r Arglwydd yn ei ddweud am y brenin sy'n eistedd ar orsedd Dafydd yma yn Jerwsalem, ac am eich perthnasau sy'n dal i fyw yma a heb gael eu cymryd i ffwrdd yn gaethion gyda chi: 17Dyma mae'r Arglwydd holl-bwerus yn ei ddweud: “Dw i'n mynd i anfon rhyfel, newyn a haint i'w taro nhw. Byddan nhw fel ffigys ffiaidd sydd ddim ffit i'w bwyta. 18Dw i'n mynd i anfon rhyfel, newyn a haint i'w taro nhw. Bydd beth fydd yn digwydd iddyn nhw yn dychryn pobl y gwledydd i gyd. Byddan nhw'n enghraifft o wlad wedi ei melltithio. Bydd pethau ofnadwy yn digwydd, pethau fydd yn achosi i bobl chwibanu mewn rhyfeddod. A byddan nhw'n destun sbort i'r gwledydd lle bydda i'n eu hanfon nhw'n gaeth. 19Bydd hyn yn digwydd am eu bod nhw heb wrando na chymryd sylw o beth dw i wedi ei ddweud dro ar ôl tro drwy fy ngweision y proffwydi,” meddai'r Arglwydd.
20Felly – chi sydd wedi eich gyrru i ffwrdd o Jerwsalem yn gaeth i Babilon – gwrandwch ar neges yr Arglwydd. 21Dyma mae'r Arglwydd holl-bwerus, Duw Israel, yn ei ddweud am Ahab fab Colaia a Sedeceia fab Maaseia sy'n proffwydo celwydd ac yn hawlio eu bod nhw'n siarad drosta i: “Dw i'n mynd i'w rhoi nhw yn nwylo Nebwchadnesar, brenin Babilon, a bydd e'n eu lladd nhw o'ch blaenau chi. 22Bydd gan bobl Jwda sy'n gaeth yn Babilon y dywediad yma wrth felltithio rhywun: ‘Boed i'r Arglwydd dy wneud di fel Sedeceia ac Ahab, gafodd eu llosgi'n fyw gan frenin Babilon!’ 23Maen nhw wedi gwneud pethau gwarthus yn Israel. Cysgu gyda gwragedd dynion eraill, a dweud celwydd tra'n honni eu bod nhw'n siarad drosta i. Wnes i ddim dweud dim wrthyn nhw. Ond dw i'n gwybod yn iawn ac wedi gweld beth maen nhw wedi ei wneud,” meddai'r Arglwydd.

24Yna dywed wrth Shemaia o Nechelam: 25Dyma mae'r Arglwydd holl-bwerus, Duw Israel yn ei ddweud: “Anfonaist lythyrau ar dy liwt dy hun at y bobl sydd yn Jerwsalem, ac at Seffaneia fab Maaseia a'r offeiriaid eraill i gyd, yn dweud fel hyn, 26‘Mae'r Arglwydd wedi dy wneud di'n offeiriad yn lle Jehoiada, i fod yn gyfrifrifol am beth sy'n digwydd yn y deml. Ac mae rhyw wallgofddyn yn dod yno a chymryd arno ei fod yn broffwyd. Dylet ei ddal a rhoi coler haearn a chyffion arno. 27Dylet ti fod wedi ceryddu Jeremeia o Anathoth am gymryd arno ei fod yn broffwyd. 28Mae e wedi anfon neges aton ni yn Babilon, yn dweud, “Dych chi'n mynd i fod yna am amser hir. Adeiladwch dai a setlo i lawr. Plannwch erddi a bwyta'r hyn sy'n tyfu ynddyn nhw.”’”29Darllenodd Seffaneia'r offeiriad y llythyr i Jeremeia. 30A dyma'r Arglwydd yn dweud wrth Jeremeia, 31“Anfon y neges yma at y bobl sydd wedi eu cymryd yn gaeth i Babilon: ‘Dyma mae'r Arglwydd yn ei ddweud am Shemaia o Nechelam: “Mae Shemaia yn siarad fel petai'n broffwyd, ond wnes i ddim ei anfon e. Mae e wedi gwneud i chi gredu celwydd!” 32Felly, dyma mae'r Arglwydd yn ei ddweud: “Dw i'n mynd i gosbi Shemaia a'i deulu. Fydd neb ohonyn nhw'n cael byw i weld y pethau da dw i'n mynd i'w gwneud i'm pobl. Fi, yr Arglwydd sy'n dweud hyn. Mae e wedi annog pobl i wrthryfela yn fy erbyn i.”’”

When you click on a word, the detailed lexicon opens with:
'Vocabulary' Bibles link the translation to Greek & Hebrew. So far, only some Bibles have this vocabulary feature. They are shown in the Bible select screen with the letter 'V'.
It is the number of occurrences of a word in the Bible. Click on it to see them all in the selected Bible(s).
This reveals different forms for some words and names. These details are often interesting to scholars, eg the word 'beginning' in Genesis.
