1Yn fuan ar ôl i Sedeceia fab Joseia ddod yn frenin ar Jwda ▼▼27:1 Yn fuan … frenin ar Jwda Felly roedd hyn ar ôl i'r dyrfa gyntaf o bobl Jerwsalem gael eu caethgludo i Babilon.
dyma'r Arglwydd yn rhoi'r neges yma i Jeremeia: 2Dyma ddwedodd yr Arglwydd wrtho i: “Gwna iau i ti dy hun, a'i rwymo am dy wddf gyda strapiau lledr. 3Wedyn anfon neges at frenhinoedd Edom, Moab, Ammon, Tyrus a Sidon. Rho'r neges i'r llysgenhadon maen nhw wedi eu hanfon at y brenin Sedeceia yn Jerwsalem. 4Dyma'r neges: ‘Mae Duw Israel, yr Arglwydd holl-bwerus, yn dweud, 5“Fi ydy'r Duw wnaeth greu y ddaear a'r holl bobl ac anifeiliaid sydd arni. Dw i'n Dduw cryf a nerthol, a fi sy'n dewis pwy sy'n ei rheoli. 6Dw i wedi penderfynu rhoi eich gwledydd chi i gyd yn nwylo fy ngwas, y brenin Nebwchadnesar o Babilon. Mae hyd yn oed yr anifeiliaid gwylltion yn ei wasanaethu e! 7Bydd y gwledydd i gyd yn ei wasanaethu e, a'i fab a'i ŵyr. Ond wedyn bydd yr amser yn dod pan fydd ei wlad e'n syrthio, a bydd nifer o wledydd eraill a brenhinoedd mawrion yn gorchfygu Babilon ac yn ei rheoli hi. 8“‘“Ond beth os bydd gwlad neu deyrnas yn gwrthod ymostwng i Nebwchadnesar, brenin Babilon? Beth fydd yn digwydd i'r wlad sy'n gwrthod rhoi ei gwar dan iau Babilon? Bydda i fy hun yn ei chosbi! Bydda i'n anfon rhyfel, newyn a haint, nes bydd Babilon wedi eu dinistrio nhw yn llwyr. 9Felly peidiwch gwrando ar eich proffwydi, na'r bobl hynny sy'n dweud ffortiwn drwy ddehongli breuddwydion, cysylltu gyda'r meirw neu ddewino b – y rhai sy'n dweud fydd dim rhaid i chi wasanaethu brenin Babilon. 10Maen nhw'n dweud celwydd. Os gwrandwch chi arnyn nhw byddwch chi'n cael eich cymryd i ffwrdd yn bell o'ch gwlad. Bydda i'n eich gyrru chi i ffwrdd, a byddwch yn marw yno. 11Ond bydd y wlad sy'n rhoi ei gwar dan iau brenin Babilon, a'i wasanaethu e, yn cael llonydd. Byddan nhw'n cael dal ati i drin eu tir a byw yn eu gwlad eu hunain. Fi, yr Arglwydd sy'n dweud hyn.”’” 12Dwedais yr un peth wrth Sedeceia, brenin Jwda. “Rhaid i chi roi eich gwar dan iau brenin Babilon, a'i wasanaethu e a'i bobl. Os gwnewch chi hynny cewch fyw. 13Pam ddylet ti â'th bobl gael eich lladd gan y cleddyf, neu drwy newyn a haint? Yn ôl yr Arglwydd dyna fydd yn digwydd i unrhyw wlad sy'n gwrthod plygu i frenin Babilon. 14Peidiwch gwrando ar y proffwydi sy'n dweud wrthoch na fydd raid i chi wasanaethu brenin Babilon. Maen nhw'n dweud celwydd! 15‘Wnes i ddim eu hanfon nhw,’ meddai'r Arglwydd. ‘Mae'n nhw'n honni eu bod nhw'n siarad drosta i, ond proffwydo celwydd maen nhw. Os gwrandwch chi arnyn nhw bydda i'n eich gyrru chi i ffwrdd, a byddwch chi a'r proffwydi sy'n dweud celwydd yn marw yn y gaethglud.’” 16Wedyn dyma fi'n dweud wrth yr offeiriaid a'r bobl i gyd, “Dyma mae'r Arglwydd yn ei ddweud: ‘Peidiwch gwrando ar y proffwydi sy'n dweud wrthoch chi y bydd dodrefn a llestri gwerthfawr y deml yn dod yn ôl o Babilon.’ Maen nhw'n dweud celwydd. 17Peidiwch gwrando arnyn nhw. Os gwnewch chi wasanaethu brenin Babilon, cewch fyw. Pam ddylai'r ddinas yma gael ei dinistrio? 18Os ydyn nhw'n broffwydi go iawn ac os ydy'r Arglwydd yn siarad hefo nhw, gwell iddyn nhw ddechrau gweddïo'n daer ar yr Arglwydd holl-bwerus – gweddïo na fydd y dodrefn a'r llestri sydd ar ôl yn y deml a palas y brenin yn cael eu cymryd i ffwrdd i Babilon! 19Achos dyma mae'r Arglwydd holl-bwerus yn ei ddweud am y pileri pres o flaen y deml, y ddysgl fawr bres sy'n cael ei galw ‛Y Môr‛, a'r trolïau pres, ac am bob dodrefnyn arall gwerthfawr sydd wedi ei adael yn y ddinas yma. 20(Dyma'r pethau adawodd Nebwchadnesar brenin Babilon yn Jerwsalem pan aeth â Jehoiachin ▼▼27:20 Jehoiachin Hebraeg, Jechoneia, oedd yn enw arall ar Jehoiachin.

Wedyn bydda i'n dod â nhw'n ôl i'r lle yma eto,’ Fi, yr Arglwydd, sy'n dweud hyn.”

How do I do a word study?

When you click on a word, the detailed lexicon opens with:
'Vocabulary' Bibles link the translation to Greek & Hebrew. So far, only some Bibles have this vocabulary feature. They are shown in the Bible select screen with the letter 'V'.
It is the number of occurrences of a word in the Bible. Click on it to see them all in the selected Bible(s).
This reveals different forms for some words and names. These details are often interesting to scholars, eg the word 'beginning' in Genesis.
