Jeremeia'n cyhoeddi neges Duw yn y deml a
1Pan ddaeth Jehoiacim fab Joseia yn frenin ar Jwda ces i'r neges yma gan yr Arglwydd: 2Dyma'r Arglwydd yn dweud, “Dos i sefyll yn iard teml yr Arglwydd. Siarada gyda'r bobl o holl drefi Jwda sydd wedi dod yno i addoli. Dywed wrthyn nhw bopeth fydda i'n ei ddweud – pob gair! 3Falle y gwnân nhw wrando a stopio gwneud drwg. Wedyn fydda i ddim yn eu dinistrio nhw fel roeddwn i wedi bwriadu gwneud am yr holl bethau drwg roedden nhw'n eu gwneud. 4Dywed wrthyn nhw mai dyma mae'r Arglwydd yn ei ddweud: ‘Rhaid i chi wrando arna i, a byw fel dw i wedi'ch dysgu chi i fyw. 5Rhaid i chi wrando ar neges fy ngweision y proffwydi. Dw i wedi eu hanfon nhw atoch chi dro ar ôl tro, ond dych chi wedi cymryd dim sylw. 6Felly os daliwch chi i wrthod gwrando bydda i'n dinistrio'r deml yma fel gwnes i ddinistrio Seilo ▼▼26:6 Seilo Roedd y Tabernacl wedi bod yn Seilo ar un adeg.

7Roedd yr offeiriaid a'r proffwydi a'r bobl i gyd wedi clywed Jeremeia yn dweud y pethau yma yn y deml. 8Ac yn syth ar ôl iddo orffen dweud popeth roedd yr Arglwydd wedi ei orchymyn iddo, dyma'r offeiriaid a'r proffwydi a'r bobl i gyd yn gafael ynddo gan weiddi, “Ti'n mynd i farw am hyn! 9Rhag dy gywilydd di, yn honni fod yr Arglwydd wedi dweud wrthot ti am broffwydo'r fath bethau! Sut alli di broffwydo fod y deml yma yn mynd i gael ei dinistrio yr un fath â Seilo, a bod dinas Jerwsalem yn mynd i gael ei chwalu, ac y bydd neb yn byw ynddi?” A dyma'r bobl yn dechrau hel o gwmpas Jeremeia yn y deml. 10Pan glywodd swyddogion Jwda beth oedd yn digwydd, dyma nhw'n rhuthro draw o'r palas brenhinol i deml yr Arglwydd ac yn cynnal achos llys wrth y Giât Newydd. 11Dyma'r offeiriaid a'r proffwydi yn dweud wrth y llys a'r bobl beth oedd y cyhuddiad yn erbyn Jeremeia, “Rhaid dedfrydu'r dyn yma i farwolaeth! Mae wedi proffwydo yn erbyn y ddinas yma. Dych chi wedi ei glywed eich hunain.” 12Yna dyma Jeremeia yn amddiffyn ei hun: “Yr Arglwydd sydd wedi fy anfon i, a dweud wrtho i am broffwydo popeth ydych chi wedi fy nghlywed i'n ei ddweud yn erbyn y deml a'r ddinas yma. 13Rhaid i chi newid eich ffyrdd, a gwneud beth mae'r Arglwydd eich Duw yn ei ddweud. Os gwnewch chi hynny, fydd e ddim yn eich dinistrio chi fel roedd e wedi bygwth gwneud. 14Ond dw i'n eich dwylo chi. Gwnewch chi beth bynnag dych chi'n feddwl sy'n iawn. 15Ond deallwch hyn: Os gwnewch chi fy lladd i, byddwch yn tywallt gwaed dyn dieuog. Byddwch chi a'r ddinas yma a'i phobl yn gyfrifol am wneud hynny. Achos y ffaith ydy mai'r Arglwydd sydd wedi fy anfon i i'ch rhybuddio chi.” 16Dyma'r swyddogion a'r bobl yn dweud wrth yr offeiriaid a'r proffwydi, “Dydy'r dyn yma ddim yn haeddu marw. Mae e wedi siarad ar ran yr Arglwydd ein Duw.” 17A dyma rai o arweinwyr hŷn Jwda yn codi a dweud wrth y dyrfa o bobl oedd yno, 18“Pan oedd Heseceia ▼▼26:18 Heseceia yn frenin o 716 i 687 CC
yn frenin ar Jwda, roedd Micha o Moresheth wedi proffwydo ac wedi dweud wrth y bobl, ‘Dyma mae'r Arglwydd holl-bwerus yn ei ddweud:Bydd Seion yn cael ei haredig fel cae,
a bydd Jerwsalem yn bentwr o gerrig.
Bydd y bryn ble mae'r deml yn sefyll,
yn goedwig wedi tyfu'n wyllt.’ e
19Wnaeth Heseceia a phobl Jwda roi Micha i farwolaeth? Naddo! Dangosodd Heseceia barch at yr Arglwydd a crefu arno i fod yn garedig wrthyn nhw. Wedyn wnaeth yr Arglwydd ddim eu dinistrio nhw fel roedd e wedi bygwth gwneud. Ond dŷn ni mewn peryg o wneud drwg mawr i ni'n hunain!” 20Roedd yna ddyn arall o'r enw Wreia fab Shemaia o Ciriath-iearim yn proffwydo ar ran yr Arglwydd. Roedd e hefyd wedi proffwydo yn erbyn y ddinas yma a'r wlad, yn union yr un fath â Jeremeia. 21Pan glywodd y brenin Jehoiacim a'i warchodwyr a'i swyddogion beth oedd y proffwyd yn ei ddweud, roedd yn mynd i'w ladd. Ond dyma Wreia'n clywed am y bwriad a dyma fe'n dianc am ei fywyd i'r Aifft. 22Dyma'r brenin Jehoiacim yn anfon dynion i'r Aifft i'w ddal (Roedd Elnathan fab Achbor yn un ohonyn nhw), 23a dyma nhw'n dod ag Wreia yn ôl yn garcharor at y brenin Jehoiacim. Dyma Jehoiacim yn gorchymyn ei ladd gyda'r cleddyf, a chafodd ei gorff ei gladdu ym mynwent y bobl gyffredin. 24Ond roedd Achicam fab Shaffan ▼

When you click on a word, the detailed lexicon opens with:
'Vocabulary' Bibles link the translation to Greek & Hebrew. So far, only some Bibles have this vocabulary feature. They are shown in the Bible select screen with the letter 'V'.
It is the number of occurrences of a word in the Bible. Click on it to see them all in the selected Bible(s).
This reveals different forms for some words and names. These details are often interesting to scholars, eg the word 'beginning' in Genesis.
