Duw yn pledio ar Jwda i newid ei ffyrdd
1Dyma'r Arglwydd yn rhoi neges arall i mi: 2“Dos, a gwna'n siŵr fod pobl Jerwsalem yn clywed y neges yma: Dyma mae'r Arglwydd yn ei ddweud: ‘Dw i'n cofio mor awyddus oeddet ti i'm plesio i,a'r cariad roeddet ti'n ei ddangos,
fel merch ifanc ar fin priodi.
Dyma ti'n fy nilyn i drwy'r anialwch
mewn tir oedd heb ei drin.
3Roedd Israel wedi ei chysegru i'r Arglwydd,
fel ffrwyth cyntaf ei gynhaeaf.
Roedd pawb oedd yn ei chyffwrdd
yn cael eu cyfri'n euog,
a byddai dinistr yn dod arnyn nhw.’”
—yr Arglwydd sy'n dweud hyn.

4Gwrandwch ar neges yr Arglwydd bobl Jacob – llwythau Israel i gyd. 5Dyma mae'r Arglwydd yn ei ddweud: “Pa fai gafodd eich hynafiaid yno ieu bod wedi crwydro mor bell oddi wrtho i?
Dilyn delwau diwerth,
a gwneud eu hunain yn dda i ddim.
6Wnaethon nhw ddim gofyn,
‘Ble mae'r Arglwydd
ddaeth â ni allan o wlad yr Aifft,
a'n harwain ni drwy'r anialwch? –
ein harwain trwy dir diffaith
oedd yn llawn tyllau; tir sych a thywyll;
tir does neb yn mynd trwyddo,
a lle does neb yn byw.’
7Des i a chi i dir ffrwythlon
a gadael i chi fwynhau ei ffrwyth a'i gynnyrch da.
Ond pan aethoch i mewn yno
dyma chi'n llygru'r tir,
a gwneud y wlad rois i'n etifeddiaeth i chi
yn ffiaidd yn fy ngolwg i.
8Wnaeth yr offeiriaid ddim gofyn,
‘Ble mae'r Arglwydd?’
Doedd y rhai sy'n dysgu'r Gyfraith
ddim yn fy nabod i a.
Roedd yr arweinwyr ▼

yn gwrthryfela yn fy erbyn,a'r proffwydi'n rhoi negeseuon ar ran y duw Baal,
ac yn dilyn delwau diwerth.
Achos Duw yn erbyn ei bobl
9Felly, dyma fi eto'n dod â cyhuddiad yn eich erbyn chi,a bydda i'n cyhuddo eich disgynyddion hefyd.”

10“Ewch drosodd i ynys Cyprus i weld;
neu anfonwch rywun i Cedar i ymchwilio. ▼
▼2:10 Ewch … i ymchwilio h.y. edrychwch yn unrhyw le o'r gorllewin pell i'r dwyrain pell
Ydy'r fath beth wedi digwydd erioed o'r blaen?
11Oes gwlad arall wedi newid ei duwiau?
(A dydy'r rheiny ddim yn dduwiau go iawn!)
Ond mae fy mhobl i wedi fy ffeirio i, y Duw gwych,
am ‛dduwiau‛ sydd ond delwau diwerth.
12Mae'r nefoedd mewn sioc
fod y fath beth yn gallu digwydd!
Mae'n ddychryn! Mae'r peth yn syfrdanol!”
—yr Arglwydd sy'n dweud hyn.
13“Mae fy mhobl wedi gwneud dau beth drwg:
Maen nhw wedi troi cefn arna i,
y ffynnon o ddŵr glân gloyw,
a chloddio pydewau iddyn nhw eu hunain –
pydewau wedi cracio sydd ddim yn dal dŵr!”

14“Ydy Israel yn gaethwas? Na!Gafodd e ei eni'n gaethwas? Naddo!
Felly, pam mae e'n cael ei gipio gan y gelyn?
15Mae'r gelyn yn rhuo drosto
fel llewod ifanc yn rhuo'n swnllyd.
Mae'r wlad wedi ei difetha,
a'i threfi'n adfeilion
heb neb yn byw yno bellach.
16A daw milwyr yr Aifft, o drefi Memffis a Tachpanches
i siafio'ch pennau chi ▼

trwy droi dy gefn ar yr Arglwydd dy Dduw

18Felly beth ydy'r pwynt mynd i lawr i'r Aifft
neu droi at Asyria am help?
Ydy yfed dŵr yr Afon Nil ▼

neu'r Ewffratesyn mynd i dy helpu di?
19Bydd dy ddrygioni'n dod â'i gosb,
a'r ffaith i ti droi cefn arna i
yn dysgu gwers i ti.
Cei weld fod troi cefn ar yr Arglwydd dy Dduw,
a dangos dim parch tuag ata i,
yn ddrwg iawn ac yn gwneud niwed mawr,”
—meddai'r Meistr, yr Arglwydd holl-bwerus.

20“Ymhell bell yn ôl torrais yr iau oedd ar dy wara dryllio'r rhaffau oedd yn dy rwymo;
ond dyma ti'n dweud, ‘Wna i ddim dy wasanaethu di!’
Felly addolaist dy ‛dduwiau‛ ar ben pob bryn
a than pob coeden ddeiliog,
a gorweddian ar led fel putain.
21Roeddwn i wedi dy blannu di yn y tir
fel gwinwydden arbennig o'r math gorau.
Sut wnest ti droi'n winwydden wyllt
a'i ffrwyth yn ddrwg a drewllyd? f
22Gelli drïo defnyddio powdr golchi
a llwythi o sebon i geisio ymolchi,
ond dw i'n dal i weld staen dy euogrwydd di.”
—Y Meistr, yr Arglwydd sy'n dweud hyn.

Wnes i ddim addoli duwiau Baal’?

Rwyt fel camel ifanc yn rhuthro i bob cyfeiriad
a ddim yn gwybod ble i droi!
24Rwyt fel asen wyllt wedi ei magu yn yr anialwch
yn sniffian yr awyr am gymar pan mae'n amser paru.
Does dim modd ei dal hi'n ôl pan mae'r nwyd yna.
Does dim rhaid i'r asynnod flino yn rhedeg ar ei hôl,
mae hi yna'n disgwyl amdanyn nhw adeg paru.
25Paid gadael i dy esgidiau dreulio
a dy wddf sychu yn rhedeg ar ôl duwiau eraill.
Ond meddet ti, ‘Na! Does dim pwynt!
Dw i'n caru'r duwiau eraill yna,
a dw i am fynd ar eu holau nhw eto.’

26Fel lleidr, dydy Israel ond yn teimlo cywilyddpan mae wedi cael ei dal!
Brenhinoedd a swyddogion, offeiriaid a phroffwydi
– maen nhw i gyd yr un fath.
27Maen nhw'n dweud wrth ddarn o bren, ‘Ti ydy fy nhad i!’
ac wrth garreg, ‘Ti ydy fy mam, ddaeth â fi i'r byd!’
Ydyn, maen nhw wedi troi cefn arna i
yn lle troi ata i.
Ond wedyn, pan maen nhw mewn trafferthion
maen nhw'n gweiddi arna i, ‘Tyrd, achub ni!’
28Felly ble mae'r duwiau wyt ti wedi eu gwneud i ti dy hun?
Gad iddyn nhw ddod i dy achub di, os gallan nhw,
pan wyt ti mewn trafferthion!
Wedi'r cwbl, Jwda, mae gen ti gymaint o dduwiau
ag sydd gen ti o drefi!
29Pam ydych chi'n rhoi'r bai arna i?
Chi ydy'r rhai sydd wedi gwrthryfela yn fy erbyn i.”
—yr Arglwydd sy'n dweud hyn.
30“Dyma fi'n cosbi dy bobl, ond doedd dim pwynt;
doedden nhw ddim yn fodlon cael eu cywiro.
Chi eich hunain laddodd eich proffwydi
fel llew ffyrnig yn ymosod ar ei brae.”
31Bobl, gwrandwch beth mae'r Arglwydd yn ei ddweud!
“Ydw i wedi bod fel anialwch i Israel?
Ydw i wedi bod fel tir tywyll i chi?
Felly pam mae fy mhobl yn dweud,
‘Dŷn ni'n rhydd i wneud beth leiciwn ni
Dŷn ni ddim am droi atat byth eto’?
32Ydy merch ifanc yn anghofio gwisgo ei thlysau?
Ydy priodferch yn anghofio ei gwisg briodas?
Na! – Ond mae fy mhobl wedi fy anghofio i
ers gormod o flynyddoedd i'w cyfri.
33Ti'n un da iawn
am redeg ar ôl dy gariadon.
Byddai'r butain fwya profiadol
yn dysgu lot fawr gen ti!
34Ar ben hynny mae olion gwaed
y tlawd a'r diniwed ar eich dillad,
er eich bod chi ddim wedi eu dal nhw
yn torri i mewn i'ch tai. h
Ac eto, er gwaetha'r cwbl 35ti'n dal i ddweud,
‘Dw i wedi gwneud dim byd o'i le;
does bosib ei fod e'n dal yn ddig hefo fi!’
Gwylia dy hun! Dw i'n mynd i dy farnu di
am ddweud, ‘Dw i ddim wedi pechu.’
36Pam wyt ti'n ei chael hi mor hawdd i newid ochr?
Gofyn am help un, ac wedyn y llall!
Byddi di'n cael dy siomi gan yr Aifft
yn union fel y cest ti dy siomi gan Asyria.
37Byddi'n dod allan o'r sefyllfa yma
hefo dy ddwylo dros dy wyneb mewn cywilydd.
Mae'r Arglwydd wedi gwrthod y rhai rwyt ti'n pwyso arnyn nhw;
fyddi di ddim yn llwyddo gyda'i help nhw.

How do I do a word study?

When you click on a word, the detailed lexicon opens with:
'Vocabulary' Bibles link the translation to Greek & Hebrew. So far, only some Bibles have this vocabulary feature. They are shown in the Bible select screen with the letter 'V'.
It is the number of occurrences of a word in the Bible. Click on it to see them all in the selected Bible(s).
This reveals different forms for some words and names. These details are often interesting to scholars, eg the word 'beginning' in Genesis.
