1Dyma neges arall roddodd yr Arglwydd i Jeremeia: 2“Atgoffa bobl Jwda a'r rhai sy'n byw yn Jerwsalem o amodau yr ymrwymiad wnes i gydag Israel. 3Dywed wrthyn nhw fod yr Arglwydd, Duw Israel, yn dweud: ‘Melltith ar bwy bynnag sy'n diystyru amodau'r ymrwymiad. a 4Pan ddes i â'ch hynafiaid chi allan o'r Aifft, o'r ffwrnais haearn b, dwedais wrthyn nhw, “Rhaid i chi wrando arna i a chadw'r amodau dw i'n eu gosod. Os gwnewch chi hynny, byddwch chi'n bobl i mi, a bydda i'n Dduw i chi.” 5Wedyn roeddwn i'n gallu rhoi beth wnes i addo iddyn nhw – tir ffrwythlon lle mae llaeth a mêl yn llifo. A dyna'r wlad ble dych chi'n byw heddiw.’” A dyma fi'n ateb, “Amen! Mae'n wir Arglwydd!” 6Yna dyma'r Arglwydd yn dweud wrtho i: “Cyhoedda'r neges yma yn nhrefi Jwda ac ar strydoedd Jerwsalem: ‘Gwrandwch ar amodau yr ymrwymiad rhyngon ni, a'u cadw nhw. 7Roeddwn i wedi rhybuddio'ch hynafiaid chi pan ddes i â nhw allan o'r Aifft. A dw i wedi dal ati i wneud hynny hyd heddiw, i'ch cael chi i wrando arna i. 8Ond doedd neb am wneud beth roeddwn i'n ddweud na cymryd unrhyw sylw. Roedden nhw'n ystyfnig, ac yn dal ati i ddilyn y duedd ynddyn nhw i wneud drwg. Felly, dw i wedi eu cosbi nhw, yn union fel roedd amodau'r ymrwymiad yn dweud – am wrthod gwneud beth roeddwn i'n ddweud.’” 9A dyma'r Arglwydd yn dweud wrtho i: “Mae pobl Jwda a'r rhai sy'n byw yn Jerwsalem wedi cynllwynio yn fy erbyn i. 10Maen nhw wedi mynd yn ôl a gwneud yr union bethau drwg roedd eu hynafiaid yn eu gwneud. Maen nhw wedi gwrthod gwrando arna i, ac wedi addoli duwiau eraill. Mae gwlad Israel a gwlad Jwda wedi torri amodau'r ymrwymiad wnes i gyda'i hynafiaid nhw. 11Felly, dyma dw i, yr Arglwydd, yn ei ddweud: ‘Dw i'n mynd i ddod â dinistr arnyn nhw, a fyddan nhw ddim yn gallu dianc. A phan fyddan nhw'n gweiddi arna i am help, wna i ddim gwrando arnyn nhw. 12Wedyn bydd pobl trefi Jwda a phobl Jerwsalem yn gweiddi am help gan y duwiau maen nhw wedi bod yn llosgi arogldarth iddyn nhw. Ond fydd y duwiau hynny yn sicr ddim yn gallu eu hachub nhw o'u trafferthion! 13A hynny er bod gen ti, Jwda, gymaint o dduwiau ag sydd gen ti o drefi! Ac er bod gan bobl Jerwsalem gymaint o allorau ag sydd o strydoedd yn y ddinas, i losgi arogldarth i'r duw ffiaidd yna, Baal!’ 14“A ti Jeremeia, paid gweddïo dros y bobl yma. Paid galw arna i na gweddïo drostyn nhw. Paid pledio arna i i'w helpu nhw. Wna i ddim gwrando arnyn nhw pan fyddan nhw'n gweiddi am help o ganol eu trafferthion. 15Pa hawl sydd gan fy mhobl annwyl i ddod i'm temlar ôl gwneud cymaint o bethau erchyll?
Ydy aberthu cig anifeiliaid yn mynd i gael gwared â'r drygioni?
Fyddwch chi'n gallu bod yn hapus wedyn?
16Roeddwn i, yr Arglwydd, wedi dy alw di
yn goeden olewydd ddeiliog gyda ffrwyth hyfryd arni.
Ond mae storm fawr ar y ffordd:
dw i'n mynd i dy roi di ar dân,
a byddi'n llosgi yn y fflamau gwyllt.
Fydd dy ganghennau di yn dda i ddim wedyn.
17Mae'r Arglwydd holl-bwerus, wnaeth dy blannu di yn y wlad, wedi cyhoeddi fod dinistr yn dod arnat ti. Mae'n dod am fod gwledydd Israel a Jwda wedi gwneud drwg, a'm gwylltio i drwy losgi arogldarth i Baal.”

19Ro'n i fel oen bach diniwed yn cael ei arwain i'r lladd-dy; c
ddim yn sylweddoli mai yn fy erbyn roedd eu cynllwyn,
“Rhaid i ni ddinistrio'r goeden a'i ffrwyth!
Gadewch i ni ei ladd, a'i dorri o dir y byw,
a bydd pawb yn anghofio amdano.”
20“O Arglwydd holl-bwerus, rwyt ti'n barnu'n deg!
Ti'n gweld beth mae pobl yn ei feddwl a'i fwriadu.
Tala nôl iddyn nhw am beth maen nhw'n ei wneud.
Dw i'n dy drystio di i ddelio gyda'r sefyllfa.”
21Felly, dyma mae'r Arglwydd yn ei ddweud am y dynion o Anathoth ▼

How do I do a word study?

When you click on a word, the detailed lexicon opens with:
'Vocabulary' Bibles link the translation to Greek & Hebrew. So far, only some Bibles have this vocabulary feature. They are shown in the Bible select screen with the letter 'V'.
It is the number of occurrences of a word in the Bible. Click on it to see them all in the selected Bible(s).
This reveals different forms for some words and names. These details are often interesting to scholars, eg the word 'beginning' in Genesis.
