Cân am y winllan
1Gad i mi ganu cân i'm cariad annwyl –Cân fy nghariad am ei winllan.
Roedd gan fy nghariad winllan
ar fryn oedd yn ffrwythlon iawn.
2Palodd y tir a chlirio'r cerrig,
a phlannu gwinwydden arbennig ynddi.
Adeiladodd dŵr gwylio yn ei chanol,
a naddu gwinwasg ynddi.
Roedd yn disgwyl cael grawnwin da,
ond gafodd e ddim ond rhai drwg.
3Felly, chi bobl Jerwsalem
a'r rhai sy'n byw yn Jwda –
Beth ydy'ch barn chi?
Beth ddylwn ni ei wneud gyda'm gwinllan?
4Oedd yna rywbeth mwy
y gallwn ei wneud i'm gwinllan
nag a wnes i?
Pan oeddwn i'n disgwyl cael grawnwin da
pam ges i ddim ond rhai drwg?
5Nawr, gadewch i mi ddweud wrthoch chi
be dw i'n mynd i wneud gyda'm gwinllan:
Dw i'n mynd i symud ei chlawdd iddi gael ei dinistrio;
a chwalu'r wal iddi gael ei sathru dan draed.
6Bydda i'n ei gwneud yn dir diffaith;
fydd neb yn ei thocio na'i chwynnu,
a bydd yn tyfu'n wyllt gyda mieri a drain.
A bydda i'n gorchymyn i'r cymylau
beidio glawio arni.
7Gwinllan yr Arglwydd holl-bwerus
ydy pobl Israel,
a'r planhigion ofalodd amdanyn nhw
ydy pobl Jwda.
Roedd yn disgwyl gweld cyfiawnder,
ond trais a gafodd.
Roedd yn disgwyl am degwch,
ond gwaedd daer a glywodd!
Condemnio anghyfiawnder cymdeithasol
8Gwae y rhai sy'n cydio tŷ wrth dŷ,ac yn ychwanegu cae at gae,
nes bod dim lle i neb arall
fyw yn y wlad!
9Dw i wedi clywed yr Arglwydd holl-bwerus yn dweud: Bydd llawer o dai yn cael eu dinistrio,
Fydd neb yn byw yn y tai mawr, crand.
10Bydd deg acer o winllan
yn rhoi llai na chwe galwyn o win;
a chae lle heuwyd deg mesur o had
yn rhoi ond un mesur yn ôl.
11Gwae'r rhai sy'n codi'n fore i yfed diod feddwol,
ac yn aros ar eu traed gyda'r nos
dan ddylanwad gwin.
12Y rhai sy'n cael partïon
gyda'r delyn a'r nabl,
y drwm a'r pib – a gwin!
Ond sy'n cymryd dim sylw o'r Arglwydd,
nac yn gweld beth mae'n ei wneud.
13Felly, bydd fy mhobl yn cael eu caethgludo
am beidio cymryd sylw.
Bydd y bobl fawr yn marw o newyn,
a'r werin yn gwywo gan syched.
14Bydd chwant bwyd ar fyd y meirw,
bydd yn agor ei geg yn anferth,
a bydd ysblander Jerwsalem a'i chyffro,
ei sŵn a'i sbri yn llithro i lawr iddo.
15Bydd pobl yn cael eu darostwng
a pawb yn cywilyddio;
bydd llygaid y balch wedi syrthio.
16Ond bydd yr Arglwydd holl-bwerus
wedi ei ddyrchafu trwy ei gyfiawnder;
a'r Duw sanctaidd
wedi profi ei fod yn sanctaidd drwy ei degwch.
17Bydd ŵyn yn pori yno fel yn eu cynefin,
a chrwydriaid yn bwyta yn adfeilion y cyfoethog.
18Gwae'r rhai sy'n llusgo drygioni gyda rhaffau twyll,
a llusgo pechod ar eu holau fel trol!
19Y rhai sy'n dweud,
“Gadewch iddo wneud rhywbeth yn sydyn,
i ni gael gweld;
Gadewch i ni weld pwrpas Un Sanctaidd Israel,
i ni gael gwybod beth ydy e!”
20Gwae'r rhai sy'n galw drwg yn dda
a da yn ddrwg;
sy'n dweud fod tywyllwch yn olau
a golau yn dywyllwch;
sy'n galw'r chwerw yn felys
a'r melys yn chwerw!
21Gwae'r rhai sy'n meddwl eu bod nhw'n ddoeth,
ac yn ystyried eu hunain mor glyfar!
22Gwae'r rhai sy'n arwyr wrth yfed gwin –
ac yn meddwl eu bod nhw'n rêl bois wrth gymysgu'r diodydd!
23Y rhai sy'n gollwng troseddwyr yn rhydd am freib, a
ac yn gwrthod rhoi dedfryd gyfiawn i'r dieuog.
24Felly, fel gwellt yn llosgi yn y fflamau
a gwair yn crino yn y gwres,
bydd eu gwreiddiau yn pydru,
a'u blagur yn cael ei chwythu ymaith fel llwch.
Am eu bod wedi gwrthod beth mae'r Arglwydd holl-bwerus yn ei ddysgu,
a chymryd dim sylw o neges Un Sanctaidd Israel.
25Dyna pam roedd yr Arglwydd
wedi digio gyda'i bobl.
Dyna pam wnaeth e droi yn eu herbyn nhw,
a'u taro nhw.
Roedd y mynyddoedd yn crynu,
a'r cyrff yn gorwedd fel sbwriel ar y strydoedd.
Ac eto wnaeth Duw ddim tawelu,
roedd yn dal yn eu herbyn nhw.
26Bydd e'n codi baner i alw cenedl o bell,
ac yn chwibanu ar un o ben draw'r byd.
Ac edrychwch, maen nhw'n dod ar ras wyllt!
27Does neb yn blino nac yn baglu'n ei rhengoedd;
neb yn pendwmpian nac yn cysgu;
neb â'i felt wedi ei datod,
na charrai ei esgid wedi torri.
28Mae eu saethau'n finiog,
a'u bwâu i gyd yn dynn.
Mae carnau'r meirch yn galed fel carreg,
ac olwynion eu cerbydau yn troi fel corwynt.
29Mae eu rhuad fel llew,
maen nhw'n rhuo fel llewod ifanc
sy'n chwyrnu wrth ddal yr ysglyfaeth
a'i lusgo i ffwrdd – all neb ei achub!
30Bryd hynny, bydd sŵn y rhuo
fel tonnau'r môr yn taro'r tir.
Wrth edrych tua'r tir
gwelir tywyllwch ac argyfwng,
a'r golau'n troi'n dywyllwch yn y cymylau o ewyn.

How do I do a word study?

When you click on a word, the detailed lexicon opens with:
'Vocabulary' Bibles link the translation to Greek & Hebrew. So far, only some Bibles have this vocabulary feature. They are shown in the Bible select screen with the letter 'V'.
It is the number of occurrences of a word in the Bible. Click on it to see them all in the selected Bible(s).
This reveals different forms for some words and names. These details are often interesting to scholars, eg the word 'beginning' in Genesis.
