Gwas yr Arglwydd
1Gwrandwch arna i, ynysoedd!Daliwch sylw, chi bobloedd o bell:
Galwodd yr Arglwydd fi cyn i mi gael fy ngeni,
Rhoddodd fy enw i mi pan oeddwn i'n dal yng nghroth fy mam.
2Gwnaeth fy ngheg fel cleddyf miniog,
a chuddiodd fi dan gysgod ei law.
Gwnaeth fi fel saeth loyw;
a chuddiodd fi yn ei gawell.
3Dwedodd wrtho i, “Ti ydy fy ngwas i,
Israel, y caf fy anrhydeddu trwyddi.”
4Meddyliais fy mod wedi gweithio'n galed i ddim byd,
a gwastraffu fy holl egni i ddim pwrpas.
Ond mae fy achos yn llaw'r Arglwydd,
a bydd fy Nuw yn rhoi fy ngwobr i mi.
5Nawr, mae'r Arglwydd
– wnaeth fy llunio i yn y groth i fod yn was iddo –
yn dweud ei fod am adfer pobl Jacob
a dod ag Israel yn ôl ato'i hun.
Bydda i wedi fy anrhydeddu yng ngolwg yr Arglwydd,
am mai Duw sy'n fy nerthu i.
6Yna dwedodd, “Mae'n beth rhy fach i ti fod yn was i mi
dim ond i godi llwythau Jacob ar eu traed
ac adfer yr ychydig rai fydd ar ôl yn Israel.
Bydda i'n dy wneud di yn olau i'r cenhedloedd,
er mwyn i bobl o ben draw'r byd gael eu hachub.”
7Dyma mae'r Arglwydd – sy'n rhyddhau Israel, yr Un Sanctaidd – yn ei ddweud wrth yr un sy'n cael ei dirmygu; cenedl sy'n cael ei ffieiddio, a gwas y rhai sy'n llywodraethu: “Bydd brenhinoedd yn gweld ac yn codi ar eu traed,
a bydd tywysogion yn ymgrymu,
am fod yr Arglwydd, sydd wedi bod mor ffyddlon,
Un Sanctaidd Israel wedi dy ddewis di.”

8Dyma mae'r Arglwydd yn ei ddweud: “Bydda i'n dy ateb di pan fydd yr amser yn iawn,ac yn dy helpu di pan ddaw'r dydd i mi achub.
Fi sydd wedi dy siapio di,
a dy benodi di'n ganolwr fy ymrwymiad i'r bobl –
bydda i'n adfer y wlad,
ac yn rhoi'r hawliau ar y tir yn ôl i'w phobl.
9Byddi'n dweud wrth garcharorion, ‘Cewch fod yn rhydd,’
ac wrth y rhai sy'n y tywyllwch, ‘Dewch i'r golwg.’
Byddan nhw fel defaid yn pori ar ochr y ffyrdd,
ac yn cael porfa ar lethrau'r bryniau.
10Fydd dim syched nag eisiau bwyd arnyn nhw;
fydd y gwynt poeth a'r haul ddim yn eu taro nhw.
Achos bydd yr un sy'n eu caru nhw yn eu harwain,
ac yn mynd â nhw at ffynhonnau o ddŵr.
11Bydda i'n gwneud y mynyddoedd yn ffordd agored,
ac yn adeiladu priffyrdd amlwg.”
12Edrychwch! Mae rhai yn dod o bell.
Edrychwch! Mae rhai yn dod o'r gogledd,
eraill o'r gorllewin, a rhai o wlad Sinim.
13Cân nefoedd, a dathla, ddaear!
Torrwch allan i ganu'n llawen, fynyddoedd!
Achos mae'r Arglwydd wedi cysuro ei bobl,
ac wedi tosturio wrth y rhai fu'n dioddef.
14“Dwedodd Seion, ‘Mae'r Arglwydd wedi troi cefn arna i;
mae fy Meistr wedi fy anghofio i.’
15Ydy gwraig yn gallu anghofio'r babi ar ei bron?
Ydy hi'n gallu peidio dangos tosturi at ei phlentyn?
Hyd yn oed petaen nhw yn anghofio,
fyddwn i'n sicr ddim dy anghofio di!
16Dw i wedi cerfio dy enw ar gledrau fy nwylo!
Wna i byth golli golwg ar dy waliau di.
17Bydd dy adeiladwyr yn gweithio'n gyflymach
na'r rhai wnaeth dy ddinistrio di;
mae'r rhai achosodd y fath lanast wedi mynd!
18Edrych o dy gwmpas!
Maen nhw i gyd yn ymgasglu! Maen nhw'n dod atat ti!
Mor sicr â'r ffaith fy mod i'n fyw,”
—yr Arglwydd sy'n dweud hyn—
“byddi di'n eu gwisgo nhw fel gemau,
ac fel priodferch yn ei gwisg briodas.
19Er dy fod wedi dy daro,
dy ddifetha a dy ddinistrio fel gwlad,
bellach fydd dim digon o le i bawb sydd am fyw ynot ti,
a bydd y rhai wnaeth dy ddinistrio yn bell i ffwrdd.
20Bydd y plant gafodd eu geni yn y cyfnod o golled
yn dweud yn dy glyw di,
‘Mae hi'n rhy gyfyng yn y lle yma;
symudwch i wneud lle i ni!’
21A byddi di'n meddwl i ti dy hun,
‘Pwy gafodd y plant yma i mi?
Roeddwn i'n weddw ac yn methu cael plant.
Roeddwn wedi cael fy ngwrthod a'm gadael –
felly pwy fagodd y rhain?
Roeddwn wedi fy ngadael ar fy mhen fy hun –
felly o ble daeth y rhain i gyd?’”
22Dyma mae'r Meistr, yr Arglwydd, yn ei ddweud: “Dw i'n gwneud arwydd i alw'r cenhedloedd,
ac yn codi fy maner i'r bobloedd.
Byddan nhw'n cario dy feibion yn eu côl,
a dy ferched ar eu hysgwyddau.
23Bydd brenhinoedd yn gofalu amdanat ti,
a breninesau yn famau maeth.
Byddan nhw'n plygu o'th flaen a'u hwynebau ar lawr,
ac yn llyfu'r llwch wrth dy draed di.
A byddi di'n deall mai fi ydy'r Arglwydd –
fydd y rhai sydd a'u gobaith ynof fi ddim yn cael eu siomi.
24Ydy'n bosib dwyn ysbail oddi ar ryfelwr,
neu ryddhau caethion o law gormeswr?”
25Wel, dyma mae'r Arglwydd yn ei ddweud:
“Bydd caethion yn cael eu cymryd oddi ar ryfelwr,
ac ysbail yn cael ei ddwyn oddi ar ormeswr;
Bydda i'n ymladd gyda dy elynion di,
ac yn achub dy blant di.
26Bydda i'n gwneud i dy ormeswyr fwyta eu cnawd eu hunain;
byddan nhw'n meddwi ar eu gwaed eu hunain, fel ar win melys.
A bydd y ddynoliaeth gyfan yn gwybod
mai fi ydy'r Arglwydd
sy'n dy achub di ac yn dy ollwng yn rhydd –
Un Cryf Jacob!”

How do I do a word study?

When you click on a word, the detailed lexicon opens with:
'Vocabulary' Bibles link the translation to Greek & Hebrew. So far, only some Bibles have this vocabulary feature. They are shown in the Bible select screen with the letter 'V'.
It is the number of occurrences of a word in the Bible. Click on it to see them all in the selected Bible(s).
This reveals different forms for some words and names. These details are often interesting to scholars, eg the word 'beginning' in Genesis.
