Pobl yr Arglwydd yn dod adre
1Ond bydd yr Arglwydd yn maddau i Jacob, ac yn dewis Israel unwaith eto.Bydd yn eu gosod nhw yn eu tir eu hunain,
a bydd ffoaduriaid yn ymuno gyda nhw
ac yn uniaethu gyda phobl Jacob.
2Bydd pobloedd eraill yn eu harwain yn ôl i'w mamwlad.
Bydd pobl Jacob yn rhannu tir yr Arglwydd rhyngddyn nhw,
i'w drin gan eu gweision a'u morynion.
Byddan nhw'n caethiwo'r rhai wnaeth eu caethiwo nhw,
ac yn feistri ar y rhai wnaeth eu gorthrymu nhw.
Marwolaeth brenin Babilon!
3Pan fydd yr Arglwydd wedi rhoi llonydd i ti o dy holl drafferthion a dy helbulon, a'r holl waith caled pan oeddet ti'n gaethwas, 4byddi'n adrodd y gerdd ddychan yma am frenin Babilon: “Ble mae'r gormeswr wedi diflannu?Mae ei falchder wedi dod i ben!
5Mae'r Arglwydd wedi torri ffon y rhai drwg,
a gwialen y gormeswyr.
6Roedd yn ddig ac yn taro cenhedloedd
yn ddi-stop.
Roedd yn sathru pobloedd yn ddidrugaredd
a'u herlid yn ddi-baid.
7Bellach mae'r ddaear yn dawel a digyffro;
ac mae'r bobl yn canu'n llawen.
8Mae hyd yn oed y coed pinwydd yn hapus,
a'r coed cedrwydd yn Libanus:
‘Ers i ti gael dy fwrw i lawr,
dydy'r torrwr coed ddim yn dod yn ein herbyn ni!’
9Mae byd y meirw isod mewn cyffro,
yn barod i dy groesawu di –
Bydd y meirw'n deffro, sef arweinwyr y byd,
a bydd brenhinoedd gwledydd y ddaear
yn codi oddi ar eu gorseddau.
10Byddan nhw i gyd yn dy gyfarch di,
‘Felly, ti hyd yn oed! –
rwyt tithau'n wan fel ni!
11Mae dy holl rwysg a sain cerdd dy liwtiau
wedi ei dynnu i lawr i Annwn! ▼

Bydd y cynrhon yn wely oddi tanat
a phryfed genwair yn flanced drosot ti!
12Y fath gwymp! –
Ti, seren ddisglair, mab y wawr,
wedi syrthio o'r nefoedd!
Ti wedi dy dorri i lawr i'r ddaear –
ti oedd yn sathru'r holl wledydd!
13Roeddet ti'n meddwl i ti dy hun,
“Dw i'n mynd i ddringo i'r nefoedd,
a gosod fy ngorsedd
yn uwch na sêr Duw.
Dw i'n mynd i eistedd ar Fynydd y gynulleidfa
yn y gogledd pell. ▼

14Dw i'n mynd i ddringo ar gefn y cymylau,

Rwyt wedi dod i lawr i fyd y meirw,
i'r lle dyfnaf yn y Pwll!
16Mae pobl yn dy weld ac yn syllu arnat,
ac yn pendroni:
“Ai hwn ydy'r dyn
wnaeth i'r ddaear grynu,
a dychryn teyrnasoedd?
17Ai fe ydy'r un drodd y byd yn anialwch,
a dinistrio'i ddinasoedd –
heb fyth ryddhau ei garcharorion i fynd adre?”’
18Mae brenhinoedd y gwledydd i gyd
– pob un ohonyn nhw –
yn gorwedd yn grand yn eu beddau eu hunain.
19Ond ti? – cest ti dy adael heb dy gladdu,
yn ffiaidd, fel ffetws wedi ei erthylu.
Fel corff marw yn y dillad a wisgai
pan gafodd ei drywanu gan y cleddyf.
Fel y rhai sy'n syrthio i waelod y pwll,
neu gorff yn cael ei sathru dan draed.
20Gei di ddim angladd fel brenhinoedd eraill,
am dy fod ti wedi dinistrio dy wlad dy hun
a lladd dy bobl dy hun.
Boed i neb byth eto gofio'r
fath hil o bobl ddrwg!
21Paratowch floc i ddienyddio ei feibion
o achos drygioni eu tad.
Peidiwch gadael iddyn nhw godi i feddiannu'r tir
a llenwi'r byd gyda'i dinasoedd!”
Bydd Duw yn cosbi Babilon
22Dyma mae'r Arglwydd holl-bwerus yn ei ddweud: “Bydda i'n codi yn eu herbyn nhw.Bydda i'n dileu pob enw o Babilon,
a lladd phawb sy'n dal ar ôl yno,
eu plant a'u disgynyddion i gyd.
23Bydda i'n llenwi'r wlad â draenogod
a'i throi'n gors o byllau dŵr mwdlyd.
Bydda i'n ei hysgubo i ffwrdd hefo brwsh dinistr,”

ar gyfer y ddaear gyfan.

How do I do a word study?

When you click on a word, the detailed lexicon opens with:
'Vocabulary' Bibles link the translation to Greek & Hebrew. So far, only some Bibles have this vocabulary feature. They are shown in the Bible select screen with the letter 'V'.
It is the number of occurrences of a word in the Bible. Click on it to see them all in the selected Bible(s).
This reveals different forms for some words and names. These details are often interesting to scholars, eg the word 'beginning' in Genesis.
