Duw yn disgyblu ei blant
1Oes! Mae tyrfa enfawr o'n cwmpas ni yn dweud mai trystio Duw ydy'r ffordd orau i fyw. Felly gadewch i ni gael gwared â phopeth sy'n ein dal ni'n ôl, yn arbennig y pechod sy'n denu'n sylw ni mor hawdd. Gadewch i ni fod yn benderfynol o ddal ati, a rhedeg y ras sydd o'n blaenau i'w diwedd. 2Rhaid i ni hoelio'n sylw ar Iesu – fe ydy'r pencampwr a'r hyfforddwr sy'n perffeithio ein ffydd ni. Er mwyn profi'r llawenydd oedd o'i flaen, dyma fe'n dal ei dir ar y groes gan wrthod ystyried y cywilydd o wneud hynny, a bellach mae'n eistedd yn y sedd anrhydedd ar yr ochr dde i orsedd Duw yn y nefoedd! a 3Meddyliwch sut wnaeth e ddiodde'r holl wrthwynebiad gan bechaduriaid – wnewch chi wedyn ddim colli plwc a digalonni. 4Wedi'r cwbl dych chi ddim eto wedi gorfod colli gwaed wrth wneud safiad yn erbyn pechod! 5Ydych chi wedi anghofio anogaeth Duw i chi fel ei blant?: “Fy mhlentyn, paid diystyru disgyblaeth yr Arglwydd,na thorri dy galon pan fydd yn dy gywiro di,
6achos mae'r Arglwydd yn disgyblu'r rhai mae'n eu caru,
ac yn cosbi pob un o'i blant.” b
7Cymerwch y dioddef fel disgyblaeth. Mae Duw'n eich trin chi fel ei blant. Pwy glywodd am blentyn sydd ddim yn cael ei ddisgyblu gan ei rieni? 8Os dych chi ddim yn cael eich disgyblu allwch chi ddim bod yn blant go iawn iddo – mae pob plentyn wedi cael ei ddisgyblu rywbryd! 9Pan oedd ein rhieni yn ein disgyblu ni, roedden ni'n eu parchu nhw. Felly oni ddylen ni wrando fwy fyth ar ein Tad ysbrydol, i ni gael byw? 10Roedd ein rhieni yn ein disgyblu ni dros dro fel roedden nhw'n gweld orau, ond mae disgyblaeth Duw yn siŵr o wneud lles i ni bob amser, i'n gwneud ni'n debycach iddo fe'i hun. 11Dydy disgyblaeth byth yn bleserus ar y pryd (mae'n boenus!) – ond yn nes ymlaen dŷn ni'n gweld ei fod yn beth da. Ac mae'r rhai sydd wedi dysgu trwyddo yn dod yn bobl sy'n gwneud beth sy'n iawn ac yn profi heddwch dwfn. 12Felly peidiwch gollwng gafael! Safwch ar eich traed yn gadarn! c 13Cerddwch yn syth yn eich blaenau. d Wedyn bydd y rhai sy'n gloff yn cryfhau ac yn eich dilyn yn lle syrthio ar fin y ffordd.

14Gwnewch eich gorau glas i fyw mewn perthynas dda gyda phawb, ac i fyw bywydau glân a sanctaidd. Dim ond y rhai sy'n sanctaidd fydd yn cael gweld yr Arglwydd. 15Gwyliwch bod neb ohonoch chi'n colli gafael ar haelioni rhyfeddol Duw. Os dych chi'n gadael i wreiddyn chwerw e dyfu yn eich plith chi, gallai hynny greu problemau ag amharu ar lawer o bobl yn yr eglwys. 16Gwyliwch rhag i rywun wrthgilio ▼▼12:16 wrthgilio: Groeg, “anfoesol”. Gall gyfeirio at ‛anfoesoldeb rhywiol‛ neu ‛anffyddlondeb i Dduw‛.

Roedd hi'n rhy hwyr iddo newid ei feddwl, er iddo grefu a chrefu yn ei ddagrau. 18Yn wahanol i bobl Israel, dych chi ddim wedi dod at bethau y gallwch eu teimlo – mynydd gyda thân yn llosgi arno, tywyllwch, caddug a storm wyllt. 19Does dim sŵn utgorn, na llais i'ch dychryn chi, fel llais Duw pan oedd yn siarad yn Sinai. Roedd y bobl yn crefu ar i Dduw stopio siarad yn uniongyrchol â nhw. h 20Roedd y gorchymyn yn ormod iddyn nhw ei oddef: “Os bydd hyd yn oed anifail yn cyffwrdd y mynydd rhaid ei ladd drwy daflu cerrig ato nes iddo farw.” i 21Roedd y cwbl mor ofnadwy o ddychrynllyd nes i Moses ei hun ddweud, “Dw i'n crynu drwyddo i mewn ofn.” j 22Na! At fynydd Seion dych chi wedi dod – sef at ddinas y Duw byw! Dyma'r Jerwsalem nefol! Yma mae miloedd ar filoedd o angylion wedi dod at ei gilydd i addoli a dathlu. 23Yma mae'r bobl hynny sydd â'u henwau wedi eu cofrestru yn y nefoedd – sef y rhai sydd i dderbyn y bendithion, fel y ‛mab hynaf‛. Yma hefyd mae Duw, Barnwr pawb. Yma mae'r bobl gyfiawn hynny fuodd farw, a sydd bellach wedi eu perffeithio. 24Yma hefyd mae Iesu, y canolwr wnaeth selio'r ymrwymiad newydd. Yma mae ei waed wedi ei daenellu – y gwaed sy'n dweud rhywbeth llawer mwy grymus na gwaed Abel. ▼▼12:24 gwaed Abel: Meibion Adda ac Efa oedd Cain ac Abel. Dyma Cain yn lladd Abel (gw. l 25Gwnewch yn siŵr eich bod yn gwrando'n ofalus ar Dduw, yr un sy'n siarad â chi. Os wnaeth pobl Israel ddim dianc pan wrthodon nhw wrando ar Moses, yr un o'r ddaear oedd yn eu rhybuddio nhw, pa obaith sydd i ni os ydyn ni'n troi'n cefnau ar Iesu, yr Un o'r nefoedd sydd wedi'n rhybuddio ni! 26Wrth fynydd Sinai roedd llais Duw yn ysgwyd y ddaear, ond nawr mae wedi dweud: “Unwaith eto dw i'n mynd i ysgwyd nid yn unig y ddaear, ond y nefoedd hefyd.” m 27Mae'r geiriau “unwaith eto” yn dangos fod y pethau fydd yn cael eu hysgwyd – sy'n bethau wedi eu creu – i gael eu symud. Dim ond y pethau sydd ddim yn gallu cael eu hysgwyd fydd yn aros. 28A dyna sut deyrnas dŷn ni'n ei derbyn! – un sydd ddim yn gallu cael ei hysgwyd. Felly gadewch i ni fod yn ddiolchgar, ac addoli ein Duw yn y ffordd ddylen ni – gyda pharch a rhyfeddod, am mai 29“Tân sy'n difa ydy Duw.” n

How do I do a word study?

When you click on a word, the detailed lexicon opens with:
'Vocabulary' Bibles link the translation to Greek & Hebrew. So far, only some Bibles have this vocabulary feature. They are shown in the Bible select screen with the letter 'V'.
It is the number of occurrences of a word in the Bible. Click on it to see them all in the selected Bible(s).
This reveals different forms for some words and names. These details are often interesting to scholars, eg the word 'beginning' in Genesis.
