Aberth y Meseia un waith ac am byth
1Rhyw awgrym o'r pethau gwych sydd i ddod sydd yn y Gyfraith Iddewig – dim y bendithion eu hunain. Dyna pam dydy'r Gyfraith ddim yn gallu glanhau'n berffaith y rhai sy'n mynd i addoli, a pham mae'r un aberthau yn gorfod cael eu cyflwyno dro ar ôl tro, flwyddyn ar ôl blwyddyn. 2Oni fyddai'r bobl wedi stopio aberthu petai'r Gyfraith yn gallu eu glanhau nhw? Byddai'r addolwyr wedi eu glanhau un waith ac am byth, a ddim yn teimlo'n euog am eu pechodau ddim mwy! 3Ond na, beth roedd yr aberthau'n ei wneud oedd atgoffa'r bobl o'u pechod bob blwyddyn. 4Mae'n amhosib i waed teirw a geifr gael gwared â phechod. 5Felly pan ddaeth y Meseia i'r byd, dwedodd: “Nid aberth ac offrwm rwyt ti eisiau,ond rwyt wedi rhoi corff i mi.
6Doedd offrymau llosg ac offrymau dros bechod
ddim yn dy blesio di.
7Felly dyma fi'n dweud,
‘O Dduw, dw i wedi dod i wneud beth rwyt ti eisiau –
fel mae wedi ei ysgrifennu amdana i yn y sgrôl.’” a
8Mae'r Meseia yn dweud, “Nid aberth ac offrwm rwyt ti eisiau” a “Doedd offrymau llosg ac offrymau dros bechod ddim yn dy blesio di.” (Y Gyfraith Iddewig sy'n dweud fod rhaid gwneud hyn i gyd). 9Wedyn mae'r Meseia'n dweud, “dw i wedi dod i wneud beth rwyt ti eisiau.” Felly mae'n cael gwared â'r drefn gyntaf i wneud lle i'r ail. 10A beth mae Duw eisiau ydy i ni gael ein glanhau o'n pechod am fod Iesu y Meseia wedi ei aberthu ei hun un waith ac am byth. 11Dan yr hen drefn mae'r offeiriad yn sefyll o flaen yr allor yn gwneud yr un gwaith ddydd ar ôl dydd. Mae e'n offrymu yr un aberthau drosodd a throsodd, ond allan nhw byth gael gwared â phechod! b 12Ond dyma'r Meseia, ein hoffeiriad ni, yn offrymu ei hun yn aberth dros bechod un waith ac am byth, ac yna'n eistedd i lawr yn y sedd anrhydedd ar ochr dde Duw. 13Ers hynny mae wedi bod yn disgwyl i'w elynion gael eu gorfodi i blygu o'i flaen fel stôl iddo orffwys ei draed arni. c 14Drwy aberthu ei hun un waith mae'r Meseia wedi glanhau'n berffaith y bobl mae Duw wedi eu cysegru iddo'i hun am byth. 15Ac mae'r Ysbryd Glân wedi sôn am hyn hefyd. Mae'n dweud fel hyn: 16 “Dyma'r ymrwymiad fydda i'n ei wneud
gyda fy mhobl bryd hynny,” meddai'r Arglwydd:
“Bydd fy neddfau'n glir yn eu meddyliau
ac wedi eu hysgrifennu ar eu calonnau.” d
17Wedyn mae'n ychwanegu hyn: “Bydda i'n anghofio eu pechodau,
a'r pethau wnaethon nhw o'i le, am byth.” e
18Os ydy'r pechodau hyn wedi eu maddau, does dim angen aberth dros bechod ddim mwy!

19Felly, ffrindiau annwyl, gallwn bellach fynd i mewn i'r ‛Lle Mwyaf Sanctaidd‛ yn y nefoedd, am fod gwaed Iesu wedi ei dywallt yn aberth. 20Dyma'r ffordd newydd sydd wedi ei hagor i ni drwy'r llen (am fod Iesu wedi aberthu ei gorff ei hun) – y ffordd i fywyd! 21Mae gynnon ni'r Meseia, yn archoffeiriad gwych gydag awdurdod dros deulu Duw. 22Felly gadewch i ni glosio at Dduw gyda hyder didwyll, a'i drystio fe'n llwyr. Mae'n cydwybod euog ni wedi ei glanhau drwy i'w waed gael ei daenellu arnon ni, a dŷn ni wedi'n golchi gyda dŵr glân. f 23Felly gadewch i ni ddal gafael yn y gobaith dŷn ni'n ddweud sydd gynnon ni. Mae Duw yn siŵr o wneud beth mae wedi ei addo! 24A gadewch i ni feddwl am ffyrdd i annog ein gilydd i ddangos cariad a gwneud daioni. 25Mae'n bwysig ein bod yn dal ati i gyfarfod â'n gilydd. Mae rhai pobl wedi stopio gwneud hynny. Dylen ni annog a rhybuddio'n gilydd drwy'r adeg; yn arbennig am fod Iesu'n dod yn ôl i farnu yn fuan. 26Os ydyn ni'n penderfynu dal ati i bechu ar ôl dod i wybod y gwirionedd, does dim aberth sy'n gallu delio gyda'n pechod ni wedyn. 27Allwn ni ond disgwyl yn ofnus am farn Duw a'r tân eirias fydd yn dinistrio gelynion Duw. g 28Meddyliwch! Os oedd rhywun yn gwrthod ufuddhau i Gyfraith Moses, doedd ond angen tystiolaeth dau neu dri tyst a byddai'n cael ei roi i farwolaeth. Doedd dim trugaredd! h 29Bydd y gosb yn llawer iawn mwy llym i'r bobl hynny sydd wedi sathru Mab Duw dan draed fel petai'n sbwriel ac wedi trin ei waed (gwaed yr ymrwymiad newydd) fel petai'n beth aflan! Maen nhw wedi sarhau Ysbryd hael Duw! i 30Oherwydd dŷn ni'n gwybod pwy ddwedodd, “Fi sy'n dial; gwna i dalu yn ôl,” ja hefyd, “Bydd yr Arglwydd yn barnu ei bobl.” k
31Peth dychrynllyd ydy cael eich dal gan y Duw byw! 32Felly cofiwch yr adeg pan gawsoch chi'ch goleuo am y tro cyntaf. Bryd hynny roeddech chi'n sefyll yn gadarn er eich bod wedi gorfod dioddef yn ofnadwy. 33Weithiau'n cael eich sarhau a'ch cam-drin yn gyhoeddus; dro arall yn sefyll gyda'r rhai oedd yn cael eu trin felly. 34Roeddech chi'n dioddef gyda'r rhai oedd wedi eu taflu i'r carchar. A phan oedd eich eiddo yn cael ei gymryd oddi arnoch chi roeddech chi'n derbyn y peth yn llawen. Wedi'r cwbl roeddech chi'n gwybod fod gan Dduw bethau gwell i chi – pethau sydd i bara am byth! 35Felly peidiwch taflu'r hyder sydd gynnoch chi i ffwrdd – mae gwobr fawr yn ei ddilyn! 36Rhaid i chi ddal ati, a gwneud beth mae Duw eisiau. Wedyn cewch dderbyn beth mae wedi ei addo i chi! 37Oherwydd, “yn fuan iawn,
bydd yr Un sy'n dod yn cyrraedd
– fydd e ddim yn hwyr.
38Bydd fy un cyfiawn yn byw trwy ei ffyddlondeb.
Ond bydd y rhai sy'n troi cefn ddim yn fy mhlesio i.” l
39Ond dŷn ni ddim gyda'r bobl hynny sy'n troi cefn ac yn cael eu dinistrio. Dŷn ni gyda'r rhai ffyddlon, y rhai sy'n credu ac yn cael eu hachub.

How do I do a word study?

When you click on a word, the detailed lexicon opens with:
'Vocabulary' Bibles link the translation to Greek & Hebrew. So far, only some Bibles have this vocabulary feature. They are shown in the Bible select screen with the letter 'V'.
It is the number of occurrences of a word in the Bible. Click on it to see them all in the selected Bible(s).
This reveals different forms for some words and names. These details are often interesting to scholars, eg the word 'beginning' in Genesis.
