Jacob yn bendithio'r Pharo
1Felly dyma Joseff yn mynd at y Pharo a dweud wrtho, “Mae dad a'm brodyr i wedi dod yma o wlad Canaan gyda'i hanifeiliaid a'u heiddo i gyd. Maen nhw wedi cyrraedd ardal Gosen.” 2Dewisodd bump o'i frodyr i fynd gydag e, a'u cyflwyno i'r Pharo. 3Gofynnodd y Pharo i'r brodyr, “Beth ydy'ch gwaith chi?” A dyma nhw'n ateb, “Mae dy weision yn fugeiliaid. Dyna mae'r teulu wedi ei wneud ers cenedlaethau.” 4A dyma nhw'n dweud wrth y Pharo, “Dŷn ni wedi dod i aros dros dro yn y wlad. Does dim porfa i'n hanifeiliaid ni yn Canaan am fod y newyn mor drwm yno. Plîs wnewch chi adael i'ch gweision aros yn ardal Gosen.” 5A dyma'r Pharo yn dweud wrth Joseff, “Mae dy dad a dy frodyr wedi dod atat ti. 6Mae gwlad yr Aifft o dy flaen di. Gad i dy dad a dy frodyr setlo yn y rhan orau o'r wlad. Gad iddyn nhw fynd i fyw yn ardal Gosen. Dewis y rhai gorau ohonyn nhw i ofalu am fy anifeiliaid i.” 7Wedyn aeth Joseff â'i dad Jacob at y Pharo i'w gyflwyno iddo. A dyma Jacob yn bendithio'r Pharo. 8Gofynnodd y Pharo i Jacob, “Faint ydy'ch oed chi?” 9“Dw i wedi crwydro'r hen fyd yma ers 130 o flynyddoedd,” meddai Jacob. “Bywyd byr, a digon o drafferthion. Dw i ddim wedi cael byw mor hir â'm hynafiaid.” 10A dyma Jacob yn bendithio'r Pharo eto cyn ei adael. 11Felly dyma Joseff yn trefnu lle i'w dad a'i frodyr fyw. Rhoddodd dir iddyn nhw yn y rhan orau o wlad yr Aifft – yn ardal Rameses, fel roedd y Pharo wedi dweud. 12Roedd Joseff hefyd yn rhoi digon o fwyd i gynnal ei dad a'i frodyr a'r teulu a'u plant i gyd.Y newyn yn mynd yn waeth
13Doedd dim bwyd yn unman yn y wlad. Roedd y newyn yn wirioneddol ddrwg. Roedd pobl yr Aifft a gwlad Canaan wedi mynd yn wan o achos y newyn. 14Roedd Joseff yn gwerthu ŷd i'r bobl, a chasglodd yr holl arian oedd ar gael drwy wlad yr Aifft a gwlad Canaan. Ac aeth a'r arian i balas y Pharo. 15Pan oedd dim arian ar ôl yn yr Aifft na gwlad Canaan, dyma'r Eifftiaid yn mynd at Joseff eto. “Rho fwyd i ni. Pam ddylen ni orfod marw am fod gynnon ni ddim arian?” medden nhw. 16Atebodd Joseff, “Os nad oes gynnoch chi arian, rhowch eich anifeiliaid i mi. Rho i fwyd i chi am eich anifeiliaid.” 17Felly dyma nhw'n dod â'u hanifeiliaid i Joseff. A rhoddodd Joseff fwyd iddyn nhw am eu ceffylau, eu defaid a'u geifr, eu gwartheg a'u hasynnod. Y flwyddyn honno rhoddodd fwyd iddyn nhw yn gyfnewid am eu hanifeiliaid. 18Pan ddaethon nhw yn ôl y flwyddyn wedyn, dyma nhw'n dweud wrtho, “Mae ein meistr yn gwybod nad oes gynnon ni arian, ac mae'n meistr hefyd wedi cymryd ein hanifeiliaid ni. Does gynnon ni ddim byd ar ôl i'w gynnig ond ni'n hunain a'n tir. 19Beth ydy'r pwynt os gwnawn ni farw? Pryna ni a'n tir am fwyd. Gwna ni'n gaethweision i'r Pharo, a chymer ein tir ni hefyd. Mae'n well i ni gael byw na marw, ac wedyn fydd y wlad i gyd ddim wedi ei difetha.” 20Felly dyma Joseff yn prynu tir yr Aifft i gyd i'r Pharo. Roedd yr Eifftiaid i gyd yn gwerthu eu caeau iddo, am eu bod nhw'n diodde mor ofnadwy o achos y newyn. Felly'r Pharo oedd piau'r tir i gyd. 21A dyma'r bobl o un pen i'r wlad i'r llall yn cael eu gwneud yn gaethweision ▼▼47:21 Felly Fersiynau. Hebraeg, “symud ganddo i'r dinasoedd.”

Felly dyma had i chi ei hau ar y tir. 24Adeg y cynhaeaf, rhaid i chi roi un rhan o bump o'r cnwd i'r Pharo. Gewch chi gadw'r gweddill i'w hau y flwyddyn ganlynol ac i fwydo'ch teuluoedd a'ch plant.” 25“Ti wedi achub ein bywydau ni,” medden nhw. “Ti wedi bod yn garedig iawn aton ni, a dŷn ni'n hapus i fod yn gaethweision i'r Pharo.” 26Felly gwnaeth Joseff ddeddf yng ngwlad yr Aifft, fod y Pharo i gael un rhan o bump o'r cynhaeaf. (Mae'r ddeddf hon yn dal mewn grym heddiw). Yr unig dir sydd ddim yn perthyn i'r Pharo ydy tir yr offeiriaid. 27Felly arhosodd pobl Israel yn yr Aifft, yn ardal Gosen. Nhw oedd piau'r tir yno. Cawson nhw lot o blant, ac roedd eu niferoedd yn mynd yn fwy ac yn fwy. 28Buodd Jacob yn byw yn yr Aifft am un deg saith mlynedd. How do I do a word study?

When you click on a word, the detailed lexicon opens with:
'Vocabulary' Bibles link the translation to Greek & Hebrew. So far, only some Bibles have this vocabulary feature. They are shown in the Bible select screen with the letter 'V'.
It is the number of occurrences of a word in the Bible. Click on it to see them all in the selected Bible(s).
This reveals different forms for some words and names. These details are often interesting to scholars, eg the word 'beginning' in Genesis.
