1Dyma dw i'n olygu: Does gan blentyn sy'n mynd i dderbyn eiddo ei dad ddim mwy o hawliau na chaethwas tra mae'n dal dan oed – er mai'r plentyn hwnnw biau'r cwbl ar un ystyr! 2Mae gofalwyr ac ymddiriedolwyr yn gyfrifol am y plentyn nes daw i'r oed roedd ei dad wedi penderfynu y byddai'n ddigon cyfrifol i edrych ar ei ôl ei hun. 3Felly gyda ninnau; pan oedden ni ddim yn deall yn iawn, ▼▼4:3 ddim yn deall yn iawn: Groeg, “yn blant dan oed”.

Dad!” 7Felly dim caethweision ydych chi bellach, ond plant Duw; a chan eich bod yn blant iddo, byddwch chithau'n derbyn gan Dduw y cwbl mae wedi addo ei roi i chi. Consýrn Paul am y Galatiaid
8O'r blaen, cyn i chi ddod i wybod am Dduw roeddech chi'n gaeth i bwerau sy'n cael eu galw'n ‛dduwiau‛ ond sydd ddim wir yn dduwiau. 9Ond bellach dych chi wedi cyfarfod, a dod i nabod, y gwir Dduw (er, Duw ddaeth i'ch cyfarfod chi go iawn). Felly pam dych chi eisiau troi'n ôl at y pethau hynny sydd mor wan a thila? Ydych chi eisiau cael eich caethiwo ganddyn nhw unwaith eto? 10Ydych chi'n meddwl mai cadw rhyw fân reolau am ddyddiau arbennig a misoedd a thymhorau'r gwyliau crefyddol blynyddol sy'n plesio Duw? 11Mae'n gwneud i mi deimlo mod i wedi gwastraffu f'amser gyda chi! 12Frodyr a chwiorydd, dw i'n erfyn arnoch chi i fyw'n rhydd o bethau felly, fel dw i'n gwneud. Dw i wedi dod fel un ohonoch chi. Dych chi erioed wedi gwneud dim drwg i mi o'r blaen. 13Gwyddoch mai salwch roddodd gyfle i mi gyhoeddi'r newyddion da i chi y tro cyntaf. 14A wnaethoch chi ddim gwneud hwyl ar fy mhen i na ngwrthod i, er bod fy salwch yn demtasiwn i chi wneud hynny. Yn wir, ces i'r fath groeso gynnoch chi – fel petawn i'n angel oddi wrth Dduw, neu hyd yn oed y Meseia Iesu ei hun! 15Roeddech chi mor hapus! Beth sydd wedi digwydd? Dw i'n reit siŵr y byddech chi bryd hynny wedi tynnu'ch llygaid eich hunain allan a'u rhoi nhw i mi petai'n bosib. 16Ydw i bellach yn elyn i chi am fy mod i wedi dweud y gwir? 17Mae'r athrawon ffals yna mor awyddus i geisio'ch cael chi i'w dilyn nhw, ond dŷn nhw'n poeni dim am eich lles chi. Y cwbl maen nhw eisiau ydy'ch cael chi i dorri cysylltiad â ni, a dechrau eu cefnogi nhw. 18“Mae'n beth da ceisio pobl gyda'r bwriad o wneud lles iddyn nhw” – felly y dylai fod bob amser, nid dim ond pan dw i o gwmpas. 19Fy mhlant annwyl i – dw i'n teimlo fel mam yn cael poenau wrth eni plentyn, a fydd y poen ddim yn diflannu nes bydd bywyd y Meseia i'w weld yn eich bywydau chi. 20O! byddwn i'n rhoi unrhyw beth am gael bod acw gyda chi, er mwyn i chi glywed oddi wrth dôn fy llais sut dw i'n teimlo go iawn. Dw i wir yn poeni! – dw i ddim yn gwybod beth i'w wneud!Hagar a Sara
21Dwedwch wrtho i – chi sydd eisiau cael eich rheoli gan fanion y Gyfraith Iddewig. Ydych chi ddim yn gwrando ar beth mae'r Gyfraith yn ei ddweud? 22Mae'n dweud fod Abraham wedi cael dau fab, un gan ei gaethferch a'r llall gan ei wraig. b 23Cafodd mab y gaethferch ei eni o ganlyniad i ymdrech dyn i gyflawni addewid Duw, ond cafodd mab ei wraig ei eni am fod Duw yn gwneud beth mae'n addo'i wneud. 24Mae darlun yn yr hanes, a dyma'i ystyr: Mae'r ddwy wraig yn cynrychioli dau ymrwymiad wnaeth Duw. Mae Hagar, y gaethferch, yn cynrychioli'r un ar fynydd Sinai – ac mae ei phlant hi wedi eu geni yn gaethion. 25Ac mae Hagar a Mynydd Sinai yn Arabia yn ddarlun o Jerwsalem fel y mae heddiw – mae hi a'i phlant yn gaethion. 26Ond mae Sara gwraig Abraham, ar y llaw arall, yn wraig rydd, ac yn cynrychioli y Jerwsalem ysbrydol. Hi ydy'n mam ni! 27Amdani hi mae'r ysgrifau sanctaidd yn dweud: “Bydd lawen, ti wraig ddiffrwythsy'n methu cael plant!
Bloeddia ganu'n uchel,
ti sydd heb brofi poenau geni plentyn!
Bydd gan y wraig sydd ar ei phen ei hun
fwy o blant na'r un sydd â gŵr.” c
28Frodyr a chwiorydd, chi ydy plant yr addewid! – yn union fel Isaac! 29Ac fel y cafodd Isaac ei erlid gan fab y gaethferch, mae'r plant sydd wedi eu geni o'r Ysbryd Glân yn cael eu herlid gan y rhai sy'n dweud bod rhaid ymdrechu i gadw popeth mae'r Gyfraith Iddewig yn ei ofyn. 30Ond beth ydy ateb yr ysgrifau sanctaidd i'r broblem? “Rhaid i ti gael gwared â'r gaethferch a'i mab. Fydd mab y gaethferch ddim yn cael rhan o etifeddiaeth mab dy wraig, sy'n rhydd.” d 31Dim plant y gaethferch ydyn ni, ffrindiau! Plant y wraig rydd ydyn ni!

How do I do a word study?

When you click on a word, the detailed lexicon opens with:
'Vocabulary' Bibles link the translation to Greek & Hebrew. So far, only some Bibles have this vocabulary feature. They are shown in the Bible select screen with the letter 'V'.
It is the number of occurrences of a word in the Bible. Click on it to see them all in the selected Bible(s).
This reveals different forms for some words and names. These details are often interesting to scholars, eg the word 'beginning' in Genesis.
