1Aeth un deg pedair blynedd heibio cyn i mi fynd yn ôl i Jerwsalem eto. Es i gyda Barnabas y tro hwnnw, a dyma ni'n mynd â Titus gyda ni hefyd. 2Roedd Duw wedi dangos i mi fod rhaid i mi fynd. Ces gyfarfod preifat gyda'r rhai sy'n cael eu hystyried yn arweinwyr ‛pwysig‛. Dyma fi'n dweud wrthyn nhw yn union beth dw i wedi bod yn ei bregethu fel newyddion da i bobl o genhedloedd eraill. Roeddwn i am wneud yn siŵr mod i ddim wedi bod yn gweithio mor galed i ddim byd. 3Ond wnaethon nhw ddim hyd yn oed orfodi Titus i fynd trwy'r ddefod o gael ei enwaedu, a dydy e ddim yn Iddew. 4Roedd dryswch wedi codi am fod rhai pobl oedd yn smalio eu bod yn credu wedi eu hanfon i'n plith ni, fel ysbiwyr yn ein gwylio ni a'r rhyddid sydd gynnon ni yn ein perthynas â'r Meseia Iesu. Roedden nhw eisiau ein gwneud ni'n gaeth unwaith eto, 5ond wnaethon ni ddim rhoi i mewn iddyn nhw o gwbl. Roedden ni am wneud yn siŵr eich bod chi'n dal gafael yng ngwirionedd y newyddion da. 6Felly beth oedd ymateb yr arweinwyr ‛pwysig‛ yma? – (dydy pwy oedden nhw'n gwneud dim gwahaniaeth i mi – does gan Dduw ddim ffefrynnau!) Doedd ganddyn nhw ddim o gwbl i'w ychwanegu at fy neges i. 7Na, yn hollol i'r gwrthwyneb! Roedd hi'n gwbl amlwg iddyn nhw fod Duw wedi rhoi'r dasg i mi o gyhoeddi'r newyddion da i bobl o genhedloedd eraill, yn union fel roedd wedi rhoi'r dasg i Pedr o'i gyhoeddi i'r Iddewon. 8Roedd yr un Duw oedd yn defnyddio Pedr fel ei gynrychiolydd i'r Iddewon, yn fy nefnyddio i gyda phobl o genhedloedd eraill. 9Dyma Iago, Pedr ▼▼2:9 Pedr: gw. nodyn ar 1 Corinthiaid 1:12
ac Ioan (y rhai sy'n cael eu cyfri fel ‛y pileri‛, sef yr arweinwyr pwysica) yn derbyn Barnabas a fi fel partneriaid llawn. Roedden nhw'n gweld mai Duw oedd wedi rhoi'r gwaith yma i mi. Y cytundeb oedd ein bod ni'n mynd at bobl y cenhedloedd a nhw'n mynd at yr Iddewon. 10Yr unig beth roedden nhw'n pwyso arnon ni i'w wneud oedd i beidio anghofio'r tlodion, ac roedd hynny'n flaenoriaeth gen i beth bynnag! i ymweld ag Antiochia, roedd rhaid i mi dynnu'n groes iddo, am ei bod hi'n amlwg ei fod e ar fai. 12Ar y dechrau roedd yn ddigon parod i rannu pryd o fwyd gyda phobl oedd ddim yn Iddewon. Ond dyma ryw ddynion yn cyrraedd oedd wedi dod oddi wrth Iago yn Jerwsalem, a dyma Pedr yn dechrau cadw draw a thorri cysylltiad â'r Cristnogion hynny oedd ddim yn Iddewon. Roedd yn poeni am y rhai oedd yn credu bod defod enwaediad yn hanfodol bwysig – beth fydden nhw'n ei feddwl ohono. 13A dyma'r Cristnogion Iddewig eraill yn dechrau rhagrithio yr un fath â Pedr. Cafodd hyd yn oed Barnabas ei gamarwain ganddyn nhw! 14Ond roedd hi'n gwbl amlwg i mi eu bod nhw'n ymddwyn yn groes i wirionedd y newyddion da. Felly dyma fi'n dweud wrth Pedr o'u blaen nhw i gyd, “Rwyt ti'n Iddew, ac eto rwyt ti'n byw fel pobl o genhedloedd eraill, felly sut wyt ti'n cyfiawnhau gorfodi pobl o'r gwledydd hynny i ddilyn traddodiadau Iddewig?” 15“Rwyt ti a fi wedi'n geni'n Iddewon, dim yn ‛bechaduriaid‛ fel mae pobl o genhedloedd eraill yn cael eu galw. Ac eto 16dŷn ni'n gwybod mai dim cadw yn ddeddfol holl fanion y Gyfraith Iddewig sy'n gwneud ein perthynas ni gyda Duw yn iawn. Credu fod Iesu y Meseia wedi bod yn ffyddlon sy'n gwneud hynny. Felly roedd rhaid i ni'r Iddewon hefyd gredu yn y Meseia Iesu – credu mai ei ffyddlondeb e sy'n ein gwneud ni'n iawn gyda Duw dim cadw manion y Gyfraith Iddewig! ‘All neb fod yn iawn gyda Duw drwy c gadw'r Gyfraith!’ 17“Ond os ydy ceisio perthynas iawn gyda Duw trwy beth wnaeth y Meseia yn dangos ein bod ni'n ‛bechaduriaid‛ fel pawb arall, ydy hynny'n golygu bod y Meseia yn gwasanaethu pechod? Na! Wrth gwrs ddim! 18Os dw i'n mynd yn ôl i'r hen ffordd – ailadeiladu beth wnes i ei chwalu – dw i'n troseddu yn erbyn Duw go iawn wedyn. 19Wrth i mi geisio cadw'r Gyfraith Iddewig mae'r Gyfraith honno wedi fy lladd i, er mwyn i mi gael byw i wasanaethu Duw. Dw i wedi marw ar y groes gyda'r Meseia, 20ac felly nid fi sy'n byw bellach, ond y Meseia sy'n byw ynof fi. Dw i'n byw y math o fywyd dw i'n ei fyw nawr am fod Mab Duw wedi bod yn ffyddlon, wedi fy ngharu i a rhoi ei hun yn aberth yn fy lle i. 21Dw i ddim yn mynd i daflu rhodd hael Duw i ffwrdd! Os oedd perthynas iawn gyda Duw yn bosib drwy gadw'r Gyfraith yn ddeddfol, doedd dim pwynt i'r Meseia farw!”

How do I do a word study?

When you click on a word, the detailed lexicon opens with:
'Vocabulary' Bibles link the translation to Greek & Hebrew. So far, only some Bibles have this vocabulary feature. They are shown in the Bible select screen with the letter 'V'.
It is the number of occurrences of a word in the Bible. Click on it to see them all in the selected Bible(s).
This reveals different forms for some words and names. These details are often interesting to scholars, eg the word 'beginning' in Genesis.
