1Dyma'r penaethiaid, a'r bobl oedd yn perthyn i'w rhestrau teuluol nhw, ddaeth yn ôl gyda mi o Babilon. Artaxerxes oedd brenin Persia ar y pryd. ▼▼8:1 Artaxerxes oedd pumed brenin Persia. Digwyddodd hyn 80 mlynedd ar ôl i'r dyrfa gyntaf fynd yn ôl dan arweiniad Serwbabel, pan oedd Cyrus yn frenin Persia.

15Dyma fi'n eu casglu nhw at ei gilydd wrth y gamlas sy'n rhedeg i Ahafa. Buon ni'n gwersylla yno am dri diwrnod. Roedd pobl gyffredin ac offeiriaid yno gyda ni, ond dyma fi'n darganfod fod dim Lefiaid. 16Felly dyma fi'n anfon am Elieser, Ariel, Shemaia, Elnathan, Iarîf, Elnathan, Nathan, Sechareia, a Meshwlam, oedd yn arweinwyr, ac am Ioiarîf ac Elnathan, oedd yn athrawon. 17A dyma fi'n eu hanfon nhw at Ido, oedd yn bennaeth yn Casiffia. Dwedais wrthyn nhw am ofyn i Ido a'i berthnasau, oedd yn weision y deml, i anfon dynion aton ni fyddai'n gweithio yn nheml ein Duw. 18Roedd Duw gyda ni, a dyma nhw'n anfon crefftwr aton ni o deulu Machli (mab Lefi ac ŵyr i Israel), sef Sherefeia. A daeth ei feibion a'i frodyr gydag e – 18 o ddynion i gyd. 19Chashafeia hefyd, gyda Ieshaia, o deulu Merari, a'i frodyr a'i feibion e, sef 20 o ddynion. 20A hefyd, rhai oedd yn weision y deml (y rhai roedd y brenin Dafydd a'i swyddogion wedi eu penodi i helpu'r Lefiaid) – 220 ohonyn nhw. A dyma enwau pob un ohonyn nhw yn cael eu rhestru.Y bobl yn ymprydio a gweddïo cyn cychwyn ar eu taith
21Yna dyma fi'n galw ar bawb oedd yno, wrth Gamlas Ahafa, i ymprydio a plygu o flaen ein Duw, a gofyn iddo roi siwrnai saff i ni a'n plant a'n holl eiddo. 22Doedd gen i mo'r wyneb i ofyn i'r brenin roi milwyr a marchogion i'n hamddiffyn ni ar y ffordd. Wedi'r cwbl, roedden ni wedi dweud wrth y brenin, “Mae Duw'n gofalu am bawb sy'n ei geisio, ond mae'n ddig iawn hefo pawb sy'n troi cefn arno.” 23Felly buon ni'n ymprydio a gweddïo'n daer ar Dduw am hyn, a dyma fe'n ein hateb ni.Anrhegion i'r deml
24Yna dyma fi'n dewis un deg dau o arweinwyr yr offeiriaid, a hefyd Sherefeia, Chashafeia a deg o'u perthnasau. 25Dyma fi'n pwyso'r arian, yr aur a'r llestri oedd i fynd i deml ein Duw a rhoi'r cwbl yn eu gofal nhw (sef y pethau roedd y brenin, ei gynghorwyr a'i swyddogion, a phawb o bobl Israel oedd yn Babilon, wedi ei gyfrannu): 2622 tunnell o arianllestri arian oedd yn pwyso 3.4 tunnell

dau lestr rhyfeddol o gain wedi eu gwneud o bres wedi ei loywi, mor werthfawr ag aur.
28Yna dyma fi'n dweud wrthyn nhw, “Dych chi wedi eich cysegru i'r Arglwydd, yn union fel mae'r llestri yma wedi eu cysegru. Offrwm gwirfoddol i'r Arglwydd, Duw eich hynafiaid, ydy'r arian a'r aur yma. 29Dw i eisiau i chi ofalu amdano nes byddwch chi'n pwyso'r cwbl o flaen arweinwyr yr offeiriaid, y Lefiaid, a penaethiaid teuluoedd Israel, yn stordai teml yr Arglwydd yn Jerwsalem.” 30Felly dyma'r offeiriaid a'r Lefiaid yn cymryd gofal o'r arian, yr aur a'r llestri oedd wedi cael eu pwyso, i fynd â nhw i deml ein Duw yn Jerwsalem.

31Dyma ni'n dechrau ar y daith o Gamlas Ahafa i Jerwsalem ar y deuddegfed diwrnod o'r mis cyntaf. ▼▼8:31 mis cyntaf Abib (sydd hefyd yn cael ei alw yn Nisan), sef mis cyntaf y calendr Hebreig, o tua canol Mawrth i ganol Ebrill.
Roedd Duw gyda ni, a dyma fe'n ein hachub ni rhag ein gelynion a rhag lladron ar y daith. 32Ar ôl cyrraedd Jerwsalem dyma ni'n gorffwys am dri diwrnod. 33Yna'r diwrnod wedyn dyma ni'n mynd i'r deml i bwyso'r arian a'r aur a'r llestri, a rhoi'r cwbl yng ngofal Meremoth fab Wreia, yr offeiriad. Roedd Eleasar fab Phineas gydag e, a dau Lefiad, sef Iosafad fab Ieshŵa a Noadeia fab Binnŵi. 34Cafodd popeth ei gyfri, ei bwyso a'i gofnodi yn y fan a'r lle. 35Yna dyma'r bobl oedd wedi dod yn ôl o'r gaethglud yn cyflwyno offrymau i'w llosgi i Dduw Israel – un deg dau o deirw dros bobl Israel i gyd, naw deg chwech hwrdd, a saith deg saith oen gwryw. Hefyd un deg dau bwch gafr yn offrwm dros bechod. Roedd y cwbl i gael ei losgi'n llwyr i'r Arglwydd. 36Wedyn dyma nhw'n cyflwyno gorchmynion y brenin i raglawiaid a llywodraethwyr Traws-Ewffrates, a gwnaeth y rheiny bopeth allen nhw i helpu'r bobl a'r gwaith ar deml Dduw.

When you click on a word, the detailed lexicon opens with:
'Vocabulary' Bibles link the translation to Greek & Hebrew. So far, only some Bibles have this vocabulary feature. They are shown in the Bible select screen with the letter 'V'.
It is the number of occurrences of a word in the Bible. Click on it to see them all in the selected Bible(s).
This reveals different forms for some words and names. These details are often interesting to scholars, eg the word 'beginning' in Genesis.
