Cân i alaru am Tyrus
1Dyma'r Arglwydd yn rhoi'r neges yma i mi: 2“Ddyn, dw i eisiau i ti ganu cân i alaru ar ôl Tyrus. 3Dywed wrth Tyrus, sy'n eistedd wrth borthladdoedd, ac yn ganolfan fasnachol bwysig i weddill y byd: ‘Dyma mae'r Arglwydd, y Meistr, yn ei ddweud: O Tyrus, rwyt yn brolio mai tiydy harddwch yn ei berffeithrwydd.
4Gyda dy ffiniau yng nghanol y moroedd,
cest dy lunio fel y llong berffaith –
5dy fyrddau o goed pinwydd Senir
a dy fast o goed cedrwydd Libanus.
6Dy rwyfau o goed derw Bashan,
a dy gorff yn bren cypres o dde Cyprus,
wedi ei addurno ag ifori.
7Dy hwyl o liain main gorau'r Aifft
wedi ei brodio'n batrymau,
ac yn faner i bawb dy nabod.
Y llen dros y dec yn borffor a phiws;
defnydd o lannau Elisha.
8Arweinwyr Sidon ac Arfad
oedd dy rwyfwyr,
a dynion medrus Tyrus
yn forwyr wrth yr helm.
9Roedd arweinwyr Gebal ar dy fwrdd
yn trwsio unrhyw niwed.
Roedd y llongau i gyd a'u criwiau
yn galw yn dy borthladdoedd
i gyfnewid nwyddau.
10Roedd dynion o wledydd pell –
Persia, Lydia a Libia –
yn filwyr yn dy fyddin.
Yn hongian tarian a helmed ar dy waliau;
ac yn rhoi i ti enw gwych.
11“‘Roedd dynion Arfad a Helech yn gwarchod dy waliau, a dynion Gammad ar y tyrau amddiffynnol. Roedden nhw'n hongian eu cewyll saethau ar dy waliau, a gwneud dy harddwch yn berffaith. 12“‘Roeddet ti'n masnachu gyda Tarshish ▼

bell, ac yn cyfnewid arian, haearn, tin a phlwm am dy nwyddau. 13Roedd Iafan, Twbal a Meshech yn cyfnewid caethweision a nwyddau pres. 14Beth-togarma yn cyfnewid ceffylau, meirch a mulod. 15Roeddet ti'n masnachu gyda phobl Rhodos, a llawer o ynysoedd eraill. Roedden nhw'n talu gydag ifori a choed eboni. 16Roedd Edom ▼▼27:16 Edom Rhai llawysgrifau Hebraeg ac un cyfieithiad hynafol; mwyafrif y llawysgrifau Hebraeg, Aram sef Syria.

Roedden nhw'n dod â gwin o Chelbon, gwlân o Sachar, 19a casgenni o win o Isal. Haearn bwrw, powdr casia a sbeisiau persawrus hefyd. 20Roedd Dedan yn cynnig eu carthenni cyfrwy. 21Arabia a shîcs Cedar yn gwerthu ŵyn, hyrddod a geifr. 22Masnachwyr Sheba a Raama yn cynnig eu perlysiau gorau, meini gwerthfawr o bob math ac aur. 23Roedd Haran, Canne ac Eden, a masnachwyr Sheba, Ashŵr a Cilmad yn gwsmeriaid i ti hefyd, 24yn cynnig dillad costus, defnydd porffor, brodwaith a charpedi amryliw wedi eu clymu a'u plethu'n dynn. 25Roedd llongau masnach mawr ▼▼27:25 llongau masnach mawr Hebraeg, “Llongau Tarshish”, sef porthladd yn Sbaen.

27“‘Mae diwrnod dy ddryllio'n dod, a byddi'n suddo yng nghanol y môr, gyda dy gyfoeth i gyd, dy nwyddau, dy fasnach, dy forwyr, dy rwyfwyr, dy grefftwyr, dy fasnachwyr a dy filwyr – pawb sydd ar dy fwrdd. 28Bydd y morwyr yn gweiddi
nes i gefn gwlad grynu.
29Bydd rhwyfwyr a morwyr
yn gadael eu llongau
i sefyll ar dir sych.
30Byddan nhw'n galaru'n uchel
ac yn crïo'n chwerw;
byddan nhw'n taflu pridd ar eu pennau
ac yn rholio mewn lludw.
31Byddan nhw'n siafio eu pennau
ac yn gwisgo sachliain.
Byddan nhw'n wylo'n chwerw
wrth alaru ar dy ôl.
32Yn nadu canu cân o alar
ar dy ôl:
“Pwy oedd fel Tyrus,
fel tŵr yng nghanol y môr?”
33Roedd dy nwyddau'n
cael eu dadlwytho o'r moroedd,
i gwrdd ag angen pobloedd.
Roedd dy gyfoeth mawr a dy nwyddau
yn cyfoethogi brenhinoedd
i ben draw'r byd!
34Ond bellach rwyt yn llong wedi ei dryllio
yn gorwedd ar waelod y môr.
Mae dy nwyddau a'r criw i gyd
wedi suddo a boddi gyda ti.
35Mae pobl yr arfordir i gyd
wedi dychryn yn lân;
brenhinoedd yn crynu mewn braw,
a'r poen i'w weld ar eu hwynebau.
36Mae masnachwyr y gwledydd
yn chwibanu mewn rhyfeddod arnat.
Roedd dy ddiwedd yn erchyll
a fydd dim sôn eto amdanat.’”

How do I do a word study?

When you click on a word, the detailed lexicon opens with:
'Vocabulary' Bibles link the translation to Greek & Hebrew. So far, only some Bibles have this vocabulary feature. They are shown in the Bible select screen with the letter 'V'.
It is the number of occurrences of a word in the Bible. Click on it to see them all in the selected Bible(s).
This reveals different forms for some words and names. These details are often interesting to scholars, eg the word 'beginning' in Genesis.
