1Roedd hi'r nawfed flwyddyn ar ôl i ni gael ein cymryd yn gaeth i Babilon, ar y degfed diwrnod o'r degfed mis. ▼▼24:1 degfed diwrnod o'r degfed mis Ionawr 15, 588 CC mae'n debyg.
A dyma fi'n cael y neges yma gan yr Arglwydd: 2“Ddyn, dw i eisiau i ti ysgrifennu dyddiad heddiw i lawr. Heddiw ydy'r union ddiwrnod mae brenin Babilon wedi dechrau ymosod ar Jerwsalem. 3Rhanna'r darlun yma gyda rebeliaid anufudd Israel: ‘Dyma mae'r Arglwydd, y Meistr, yn ei ddweud: Rho'r crochan ar y tân,a'i lenwi gyda dŵr.
4Rho ddarnau o gig ynddo,
y darnau gorau – y goes a'r ysgwydd.
Ei lenwi gyda'r esgyrn da
5o'r anifeiliaid gorau.
Rho bentwr o goed tân oddi tano,
a berwi'r cig a'i goginio
a'r esgyrn yn dal ynddo.
6“‘Felly, dyma mae'r Arglwydd, y Meistr, yn ei ddweud: Gwae ddinas y tywallt gwaed – y crochan sy'n llawn budreddi – budreddi sy'n dal ynddo! Tynnwch y darnau allan bob yn un. Sdim ots am y drefn. 7Mae'r gwaed dywalltwyd yn dal ynddi. Cafodd ei dywallt ar garreg i bawb ei weld, yn lle ei dywallt ar lawr i'r pridd ei lyncu. 8Felly dw i'n mynd i dywallt ei gwaed hi ar garreg agored, er mwyn i bawb weld faint dw i wedi digio, ac mai fi sy'n dial arni hi! 9“‘Felly dyma mae'r Arglwydd, y Meistr, yn ei ddweud: Gwae ddinas y tywallt gwaed! Dw i'n mynd i gasglu pentwr o goed; 10digon o goed i wneud tanllwyth o dân! Coginio'r cig yn dda gyda digon o sbeisys. Wedyn gwagio'r crochan a llosgi'r esgyrn. 11Yna rhoi'r crochan gwag yn ôl ar y tân golosg, a'i boethi nes bydd y copr yn gloywi'n chwilboeth, yr amhuredd o'i fewn yn toddi a'r budreddi yn cael ei losgi i ffwrdd. 12Ond mae'r holl ymdrech i ddim pwrpas – mae'r budreddi yn dal yna! Rhaid ei losgi! 13“‘Yr amhuredd ydy dy ymddygiad anweddus di. Dw i wedi ceisio dy lanhau di, ond i ddim pwrpas. Fyddi di ddim yn lân eto nes bydda i wedi tywallt fy llid i gyd arnat ti. 14Yr Arglwydd ydw i, a dw i wedi dweud beth sydd i ddod! Mae'r amser wedi dod i mi wneud rhywbeth! Does dim troi'n ôl. Fydda i'n dangos dim piti, nac yn teimlo'n sori am y peth. Dw i'n mynd i dy gosbi di am y cwbl rwyt ti wedi ei wneud, meddai'r Arglwydd, y Meistr.’”

15Dyma'r Arglwydd yn rhoi'r neges yma i mi: 16“Ddyn, dw i'n gwybod fod hyn yn mynd i fod yn ergyd galed, ond dw i'n mynd i gymryd y wraig wyt ti wedi gwirioni arni oddi arnat ti. Ond paid galaru amdani. Paid wylo. Paid colli dagrau. 17Byddi'n drist, ond cadwa'r peth i ti dy hun. Paid galaru'n gyhoeddus. Rho dwrban ar dy ben a sandalau ar dy draed. Paid cuddio hanner isaf dy wyneb, na derbyn bwyd gan bobl sy'n dod atat ti i gydymdeimlo.” ▼▼24:17 cuddio … i gydymdeimlo Arwyddion fod rhywun yn galaru.
18Y noson honno buodd fy ngwraig farw. Ond y bore wedyn dyma fi'n gwneud beth ddywedwyd wrtho i, a mynd allan i bregethu. 19A dyma'r bobl yn gofyn i mi, “Beth ydy ystyr hyn? Pam wyt fel yma?” 20A dyma fi'n dweud wrthyn nhw fod yr Arglwydd wedi rhoi'r neges yma i mi: 21“Dywed wrth bobl Israel, ‘Dyma mae'r Arglwydd, y Meistr, yn ei ddweud: Dw i'n mynd i ddinistrio'r deml – ie, y deml sy'n gwneud i chi deimlo mor siŵr ohonoch chi'ch hunain, yr un dych chi wedi gwirioni'n lân arni. Bydd y plant gafodd eu gadael ar ôl yn Jwda yn cael eu lladd. 22Rhaid i chi wneud yr un fath â fi. Peidio cuddio hanner isaf yr wyneb na derbyn bwyd gan bobl sydd eisiau cydymdeimlo. 23Gwisgo twrban ar eich pennau a sandalau ar eich traed. Peidio galaru na wylo. Ond byddwch chi'n gwywo o'ch mewn, o achos yr holl ddrwg dych chi wedi ei wneud. 24Dw i'n defnyddio Eseciel fel darlun i ddysgu gwers i chi. Rhaid i chi wneud yr un fath. Byddwch chi'n gwybod wedyn mai fi ydy'r Meistr, yr Arglwydd.’ 25“A ti, ddyn, dyma fydd yn digwydd i ti ar y diwrnod y bydda i'n cymryd y ddinas sy'n eu gwneud nhw mor hapus oddi arnyn nhw, a'r deml maen nhw a'u plant wedi gwirioni'n lân arni: 26Ar y diwrnod hwnnw bydd ffoadur fydd wedi llwyddo i ddianc yn dod atat ti i ddweud beth ddigwyddodd. 27A byddi di'n cael siarad yn rhydd eto. Byddi'n siarad gyda'r un wnaeth ddianc, a ddim yn gorfod cadw'n dawel ddim mwy. c Dw i'n dy ddefnyddio di fel darlun i ddysgu gwers i bobl Israel, iddyn nhw ddeall mai fi ydy'r Arglwydd.”

When you click on a word, the detailed lexicon opens with:
'Vocabulary' Bibles link the translation to Greek & Hebrew. So far, only some Bibles have this vocabulary feature. They are shown in the Bible select screen with the letter 'V'.
It is the number of occurrences of a word in the Bible. Click on it to see them all in the selected Bible(s).
This reveals different forms for some words and names. These details are often interesting to scholars, eg the word 'beginning' in Genesis.
