Babilon – Cleddyf Duw
1Dyma'r Arglwydd yn rhoi'r neges yma i mi: 2“Ddyn, dw i eisiau i ti droi i wynebu Jerwsalem, a pregethu yn erbyn ei lleoedd cysegredig hi. Proffwyda yn erbyn Israel, 3a dweud, ‘Dyma mae'r Arglwydd yn ei ddweud: Dw i'n mynd i ddelio gyda chi! Dw i'n mynd i dynnu fy nghleddyf o'r wain a lladd pawb, y da a'r drwg! 4Ydw, dw i'n mynd i ladd y da a'r drwg. Bydda i'n tynnu fy nghleddyf ac yn taro pawb, o'r de i'r gogledd! 5Bydd pawb yn deall wedyn mai fi ydy'r Arglwydd, ac mai fi sydd wedi tynnu'r cleddyf, a fydd e ddim yn mynd yn ôl i'r wain!’ 6“Felly griddfan di, ddyn! Griddfan yn chwerw o'u blaenau a syrthio ar lawr yn dy ddyblau fel petaet ti mewn poen. 7Pan fyddan nhw'n gofyn i ti, ‘Beth sy'n bod?’ dywed wrthyn nhw, ‘Mae newyddion dychrynllyd ar ei ffordd. Bydd pawb wedi dychryn am eu bywydau, a ddim yn gwybod beth i'w wneud. Byddan nhw'n teimlo'n gwbl ddiymadferth, ac yn gwlychu eu hunain mewn ofn.’” 8Dyma'r Arglwydd yn rhoi'r neges yma i mi: 9“Ddyn, proffwyda fel yma, ‘Dyma mae'r Arglwydd yn ei ddweud: Cleddyf! Cleddyf!Wedi ei hogi a'i sgleinio.
10Wedi ei hogi i ladd,
ac yn fflachio fel mellten.
Pwy sy'n chwerthin nawr?
Mae teyrnwialen Jwda wedi ei gwrthod
a phob ffon debyg iddi!
11Mae'r cleddyf wedi ei rhoi i'w sgleinio
a'i dal yng nghledr y llaw.
Mae wedi ei hogi a'i glanhau
i'w rhoi yn llaw y lladdwr.
12Gwaedda, ddyn, galara!
Mae'r cleddyf i daro fy mhobl,
ac arweinwyr Israel i gyd!
Bydd y galar yn llethol!
13Ydy, mae'r profi'n dod!
Pa obaith sydd
pan mae teyrnwialen Jwda wedi ei gwrthod?’
meddai'r Arglwydd.
14Dw i eisiau i ti broffwydo, ddyn,
ac ysgwyd dy ddwrn ▼

Cleddyf i ladd!
Bydd cleddyf y lladdfa fawr
yn closio o bob cyfeiriad!
15Bydd pawb yn wan gan ddychryn
a nifer fawr yn baglu a syrthio.
Mae cleddyf y lladdfa fawr
yn disgwyl wrth y giatiau i gyd.
O! Mae'n fflachio fel mellten
wrth gael ei chwifio i ladd!
16Ergyd i'r dde, a slaes i'r chwith!
Mae'n taro â'i min ble bynnag y myn.
17Byddaf finnau'n ysgwyd fy nwrn ▼
▼21:17 ysgwyd fy nwrn Hebraeg, “curo fy nwylo”, oedd yn arwydd eich bod wedi gwylltio.
a dangos faint dw i wedi gwylltio.
Yr Arglwydd ydw i,
a dw i wedi dweud beth sydd i ddod.’”

18Dyma'r Arglwydd yn rhoi'r neges yma i mi: 19“Ddyn, dw i eisiau i ti wneud map a marcio dwy ffordd y gallai cleddyf brenin Babilon ddod. Mae'r ddwy ffordd i ddechrau o'r un lle. Yna ble maen nhw'n fforchio dw i eisiau i ti godi arwydd ffordd yn pwyntio at y ddinas – 20Marcia ddwy ffordd i'r cleddyf fynd – un i Rabba, dinas pobl Ammon, a'r llall i Jerwsalem, y gaer yn Jwda. 21Mae brenin Babilon ▼▼21:21 brenin Babilon Nebwchadnesar
wedi stopio ble mae'r ffordd yn fforchio, ac yn ansicr pa ffordd i fynd. Mae'n aros i ddewino: mae'n ysgwyd saethau, yn ceisio arweiniad ei eilun-ddelwau teuluol, ac yn archwilio iau anifeiliaid wedi eu haberthu. 22Mae'n agor ei law dde, a dyna'r arweiniad – i droi am Jerwsalem. Rhaid paratoi hyrddod rhyfel i fwrw'r giatiau, bloeddio'r gorchymyn i ymosod, a chodi rampiau a thyrau gwarchae. 23Bydd pobl Jerwsalem yn meddwl ei fod wedi gwneud camgymeriad, am eu bod wedi gwneud cytundeb gyda Babilon. Ond mae'n dangos eu bod nhw'n euog, a byddan nhw'n cael eu cymryd yn gaeth. 24“Felly, dyma mae'r Arglwydd, y Meistr, yn ei ddweud: ‘Dych chi wedi ei gwneud hi'n gwbl amlwg eich bod chi'n euog. Dych chi wedi troseddu, a does gynnoch chi ddim cywilydd o'ch pechod. Mae pawb yn ei weld! Felly byddwch yn cael eich cymryd yn gaeth. 25“‘A tithau, Sedeceia, dywysog llwgr a drwg Israel – mae dy ddiwrnod wedi dod. Ie, dydd barn! 26Dyma mae'r Arglwydd, y Meistr, yn ei ddweud: Tynna dy goron oddi ar dy ben! Mae pethau'n mynd i newid! Codi'r rhai sy'n ‛neb‛, a thorri crib y balch! 27Adfeilion! Adfeilion! Bydd y lle'n adfeilion llwyr! Fydd dim yn newid nes i'r un dw i wedi rhoi iddo'r hawl i farnu ddod. Bydda i'n ei rhoi iddo fe.’” Taro pobl Ammon

29“‘Mae gweledigaethau dy broffwydi'n ffug, a'r arweiniad trwy ddewino yn gelwydd! Mae'r cleddyf ar yddfau pobl lwgr a drwg. Ydy, mae eich diwrnod wedi dod. Ie, dydd barn! 30“‘Fydd y cleddyf ddim yn ôl yn ei wain nes i mi eich barnu chi yn y wlad lle cawsoch eich geni. 31Dw i'n mynd i dywallt fy llid arnoch chi, a'ch ffrwydro gyda tân fy ffyrnigrwydd. Bydda i'n eich rhoi chi yn nwylo dynion gwyllt sy'n gwybod sut i ddinistrio. 32Byddwch yn danwydd i'r tân. Bydd eich gwaed wedi ei dywallt ar y tir. Fydd neb yn eich cofio. Yr Arglwydd ydw i, a dw i wedi dweud beth sydd i ddod!’”

How do I do a word study?

When you click on a word, the detailed lexicon opens with:
'Vocabulary' Bibles link the translation to Greek & Hebrew. So far, only some Bibles have this vocabulary feature. They are shown in the Bible select screen with the letter 'V'.
It is the number of occurrences of a word in the Bible. Click on it to see them all in the selected Bible(s).
This reveals different forms for some words and names. These details are often interesting to scholars, eg the word 'beginning' in Genesis.
