Anifeiliaid yn marw
1Yna dyma'r Arglwydd yn dweud wrth Moses, “Dos at y Pharo a dweud wrtho, ‘Dyma mae'r Arglwydd, Duw yr Hebreaid yn ei ddweud: “Gad i'm pobl fynd yn rhydd, iddyn nhw gael fy addoli i!” 2Os byddi di'n gwrthod gadael iddyn nhw fynd, ac yn dal dy afael ynddyn nhw, 3bydd yr Arglwydd yn taro dy anifeiliaid di i gyd gyda haint ofnadwy – y ceffylau, y mulod, y camelod, y gwartheg i gyd, a'r defaid a geifr. 4Ond bydd e'n gwahaniaethu rhwng anifeiliaid pobl Israel a'ch anifeiliaid chi'r Eifftiaid. Fydd dim un o anifeiliaid pobl Israel yn marw.’” 5Dwedodd yr Arglwydd y byddai hyn yn digwydd y diwrnod wedyn. 6A dyna wnaeth yr Arglwydd. Y diwrnod wedyn dyma anifeiliaid yr Eifftiaid i gyd yn marw, ond wnaeth dim un o anifeiliaid pobl Israel farw. 7Dyma'r Pharo yn anfon swyddogion i weld, ac yn wir, doedd dim un o anifeiliaid pobl Israel wedi marw. Ond roedd e mor ystyfnig ac erioed, ac roedd yn gwrthod gadael i'r bobl fynd.Chwyddau septig
8Yna dyma'r Arglwydd yn dweud wrth Moses ac Aaron, “Cymerwch ddyrneidiau o ludw o ffwrnais, a chael Moses i'w daflu i'r awyr o flaen llygaid y Pharo. 9Bydd yn lledu fel llwch mân dros wlad yr Aifft i gyd, ac yn achosi chwyddau fydd yn troi'n septig ar gyrff pobl ac anifeiliaid drwy'r wlad.” 10Felly dyma nhw'n cymryd lludw o ffwrnais a mynd i sefyll o flaen y Pharo. A dyma Moses yn ei daflu i'r awyr, ac roedd yn achosi chwyddau oedd yn troi'n septig ar gyrff pobl ac anifeiliaid. 11Doedd y dewiniaid ddim yn gallu cystadlu gyda Moses o achos y chwyddau. Roedd y chwyddau dros eu cyrff nhw hefyd, fel pawb arall yn yr Aifft. 12Ond roedd yr Arglwydd wedi gwneud y Pharo yn fwy ystyfnig fyth. Roedd yn gwrthod gwrando arnyn nhw, fel roedd yr Arglwydd wedi dweud wrth Moses.Cenllysg
13Dyma'r Arglwydd yn dweud wrth Moses, “Coda'n fore, a sefyll o flaen y Pharo, a dywed wrtho, ‘Dyma mae'r Arglwydd, Duw yr Hebreaid, yn ei ddweud: “Gad i'm pobl fynd yn rhydd, iddyn nhw gael fy addoli i! 14Y tro yma dw i'n mynd i dy daro di, a dy swyddogion a dy bobl gyda plâu gwaeth fyth, er mwyn i ti ddeall fod yna neb tebyg i mi ar y ddaear. 15Gallwn i fod wedi dy daro di a dy bobl gyda pla ofnadwy fyddai wedi eich dileu oddi ar wyneb y ddaear! 16Dyma pam wnes i dy godi di – er mwyn dangos i ti mor bwerus ydw i, ac er mwyn i bawb drwy'r byd i gyd ddod i wybod amdana i. 17Ond rwyt ti'n dal i ormesu fy mhobl, ac yn gwrthod gadael iddyn nhw fynd yn rhydd. 18Felly, tua'r adeg yma yfory, dw i'n mynd i anfon y storm genllysg waethaf mae'r Aifft erioed wedi ei gweld. 19Gwell i ti gasglu dy anifeiliaid a phopeth arall sydd piau ti o'r caeau i le saff. Bydd pob person ac anifail sy'n cael ei ddal yn y cae gan y storm yn cael ei daro gan y cenllysg ac yn marw!”’” 20Dyma rai o swyddogion y Pharo yn credu beth ddwedodd yr Arglwydd, ac yn brysio allan i gasglu eu gweision a'u hanifeiliaid o'r caeau. 21Ond roedd eraill yn poeni dim am y peth, a dyma nhw'n gadael eu gweision a'u hanifeiliaid yn y caeau. 22Yna dyma'r Arglwydd yn dweud wrth Moses, “Cod dy law i fyny i'r awyr, i wneud i genllysg ddisgyn drwy wlad yr Aifft, ar bobl ac anifeiliaid, ac ar y cnydau sy'n tyfu trwy'r wlad i gyd.” 23Pan gododd Moses ei ffon i'r awyr, dyma'r Arglwydd yn anfon storm o genllysg gyda mellt a tharanau. Dyma'r Arglwydd yn gwneud iddi fwrw cenllysg ar wlad yr Aifft i gyd. 24Roedd y cenllysg yn syrthio, a'r mellt yn fflachio yn ôl a blaen. Roedd yn bwrw mor drwm, fuodd yna erioed storm debyg iddi yn holl hanes gwlad yr Aifft. 25Roedd y cenllysg yn taro popeth oedd allan yn y caeau – pobl ac anifeiliaid, a'r cnydau drwy'r wlad i gyd. Roedd hyd yn oed y coed wedi cael eu dryllio! 26Yr unig ardal yn yr Aifft gafodd ddim cenllysg oedd Gosen, lle roedd pobl Israel yn byw. 27Felly dyma'r Pharo yn anfon am Moses ac Aaron, ac yn dweud wrthyn nhw, “Dw i'n cyfaddef fy mod i ar fai. Yr Arglwydd sy'n iawn. Dw i a'm pobl yn euog. 28Gweddïa ar yr Arglwydd. Dŷn ni wedi cael digon! Mae'r taranau a'r cenllysg yma'n ormod! Gwna i adael i chi fynd – gorau po gynta!” 29A dyma Moses yn dweud wrtho, “Pan fydda i wedi mynd allan o'r ddinas, bydda i'n codi fy nwylo ac yn gweddïo ar yr Arglwydd. Bydd y taranau a'r cenllysg yn stopio. Byddi'n deall wedyn mai'r Arglwydd sydd piau'r ddaear yma. 30Ond dw i'n gwybod yn iawn dy fod ti a dy weision eto ddim wir yn parchu'r Arglwydd Dduw.” 31(Roedd y cnydau llin a'r cnydau haidd wedi cael eu difetha gan y cenllysg. Roedd yr haidd yn aeddfed, a'r llin wedi blodeuo. 32Ond roedd y gwenith a'r sbelt yn dal yn iawn, gan eu bod yn gnydau mwy diweddar.) 33Felly dyma Moses yn gadael y Pharo a mynd allan o'r ddinas. Dyma fe'n codi ei ddwylo a gweddïo ar yr Arglwydd, a dyma'r taranau a'r cenllysg yn stopio, a'r storm yn clirio. 34Ond pan welodd y Pharo fod y glaw a'r cenllysg a'r taranau wedi stopio dyma fe'n pechu eto. Dyma fe a'i swyddogion yn troi'n ystyfnig. 35Roedd y Pharo yn hollol ystyfnig, ac yn gwrthod gadael i bobl Israel fynd, yn union fel roedd yr Arglwydd wedi dweud.

How do I do a word study?

When you click on a word, the detailed lexicon opens with:
'Vocabulary' Bibles link the translation to Greek & Hebrew. So far, only some Bibles have this vocabulary feature. They are shown in the Bible select screen with the letter 'V'.
It is the number of occurrences of a word in the Bible. Click on it to see them all in the selected Bible(s).
This reveals different forms for some words and names. These details are often interesting to scholars, eg the word 'beginning' in Genesis.
