Deddfau am eiddo
1Os ydy rhywun yn dwyn tarw neu ddafad, ac yna'n lladd yr anifail neu ei werthu, rhaid talu'n ôl bump o fuchod am y tarw, a pedair dafad am yr un ddafad.2Os ydy lleidr yn cael ei ddal yn torri i mewn i dŷ, ac mae'n cael ei daro ac yn marw, fydd y person wnaeth ei ladd ddim yn cael ei gyfri'n euog o dywallt gwaed. 3Ond os ydy'r peth yn digwydd yng ngolau dydd, bydd yn euog.
Os ydy lleidr yn cael ei ddal, rhaid iddo dalu'n llawn am beth gafodd ei ddwyn. Os nad ydy e'n gallu talu, bydd y lleidr yn cael ei werthu fel caethwas i dalu'r ddyled.
4Os ydy'r anifail gafodd ei ddwyn yn cael ei ddarganfod yn dal yn fyw – p'run ai tarw, asyn neu ddafad – rhaid i'r lleidr dalu dwywaith ei werth yn iawndal.
5Os ydy rhywun yn rhoi ei anifeiliaid i bori yn ei gae neu ei winllan, ac yn gadael iddyn nhw grwydro a pori ar dir rhywun arall, rhaid iddo dalu am y golled gyda'r cynnyrch gorau o'i gae a'i winllan ei hun.
6Os oes tân yn mynd allan o reolaeth, ac yn lledu drwy'r gwrychoedd a llosgi cnydau sydd wedi eu casglu neu gnydau sy'n dal i dyfu yn y caeau, rhaid i'r person ddechreuodd y tân dalu am y difrod.
7Os ydy person yn rhoi arian neu bethau gwerthfawr i rywun eu cadw'n saff, a'r pethau hynny'n cael eu dwyn, rhaid i'r lleidr dalu dwywaith cymaint yn ôl os ydy e'n cael ei ddal. 8Os nad oes lleidr yn cael ei ddal, rhaid i berchennog y tŷ sefyll ei brawf o flaen Duw, i weld os mai fe wnaeth ddwyn yr eiddo.
9Dyma sydd i ddigwydd mewn achos o anghydfod rhwng pobl (am darw, asyn, dafad neu afr, mantell neu unrhyw beth arall), lle mae rhywun yn honni, ‘Fi sydd piau hwn.’: Mae'r ddau i ymddangos o flaen Duw, ac mae'r un sy'n cael ei ddedfrydu'n euog i dalu dwywaith cymaint yn ôl i'r llall.
10Os ydy person yn gofyn i rywun arall edrych ar ôl asyn neu darw neu ddafad neu afr iddo, a'r anifail yn marw, cael ei anafu neu'n mynd ar goll, a neb wedi ei weld, 11rhaid i'r un oedd yn gofalu am yr anifail fynd ar ei lw o flaen yr Arglwydd mai nid fe oedd yn gyfrifol. Wedyn bydd y sawl oedd piau'r anifail yn derbyn ei air, a fydd dim rhaid talu iawndal. 12Ond os cafodd yr anifail ei ddwyn, rhaid iddo dalu amdano. 13Os mai anifail gwyllt wnaeth ei ladd a'i rwygo'n ddarnau, rhaid dangos y corff yn dystiolaeth, a fydd dim rhaid talu iawndal.
14Os ydy person yn benthyg anifail gan rywun arall, a'r anifail hwnnw'n cael ei anafu neu'n marw pan oedd y perchennog ddim yna, rhaid i'r un wnaeth fenthyg yr anifail dalu'n llawn amdano. 15Ond os oedd y perchennog yno ar y pryd, fydd dim rhaid talu. Ac os oedd yr anifail wedi ei logi am dâl, mae'r arian gafodd ei dalu yn cyfro'r golled.

16Os ydy dyn yn denu merch ifanc sydd heb ddyweddïo i gael rhyw gydag e, rhaid iddo dalu i'w rhieni yr pris sy'n ddyledus i'w chymryd yn wraig iddo'i hun. 17Rhaid iddo dalu'r arian hyd yn oed os ydy'r tad yn gwrthod gadael iddo briodi'r ferch.18Dydy gwraig sy'n dewino ddim i gael byw.
19Os ydy rhywun yn cael rhyw gydag anifail, y gosb ydy marwolaeth.
20Os ydy rhywun yn aberthu i dduwiau ar wahân i'r Arglwydd, rhaid ei ddinistrio'n llwyr!
21Paid cam-drin mewnfudwyr. Cofiwch mai mewnfudwyr oeddech chi eich hunain yn yr Aifft.
22Paid cymryd mantais o wraig weddw neu blentyn amddifad. 23Os gwnei di hynny, a hwythau'n gweiddi arna i am help, bydda i'n ymateb. 24Bydda i wedi gwylltio'n lân. Byddwch chi'r dynion yn cael eich lladd mewn rhyfel. Bydd eich gwragedd chi'n cael eu gadael yn weddwon, a bydd eich plant yn amddifad.
25Os wyt ti'n benthyg arian i un o'm pobl Israel sydd mewn angen, paid bod fel y benthycwyr sy'n codi llog arnyn nhw. 26Os wyt ti'n cymryd mantell rhywun yn ernes am ei fod mewn dyled i ti, gwna'n siŵr dy fod yn ei rhoi yn ôl iddo cyn i'r haul fachlud, 27gan mai dyna'r cwbl sydd ganddo i gadw'n gynnes yn y nos. Os bydd e'n gweiddi arna i am help, bydda i'n gwrando arno, achos dw i'n garedig.
28Paid cymryd enw Duw yn ysgafn, na melltithio un o arweinyddion dy bobl.
29Paid cadw'n ôl beth sydd i fod i gael ei offrymu i mi o'r cynhaeaf grawn a'r cafnau gwin ac olew.
Rhaid i bob mab hynaf gael ei roi i mi.
30A'r un fath gyda pob anifail gwryw sydd y cyntaf i gael ei eni – bustych, defaid a geifr – gallan nhw aros gyda'r fam am saith diwrnod, ond rhaid i chi eu rhoi nhw i mi ar yr wythfed diwrnod.
31Dych chi i fod yn bobl wedi eu cysegru i mi. Peidiwch bwyta cig unrhyw beth sydd wedi ei ladd gan anifail gwyllt. Taflwch e i'r cŵn.

How do I do a word study?

When you click on a word, the detailed lexicon opens with:
'Vocabulary' Bibles link the translation to Greek & Hebrew. So far, only some Bibles have this vocabulary feature. They are shown in the Bible select screen with the letter 'V'.
It is the number of occurrences of a word in the Bible. Click on it to see them all in the selected Bible(s).
This reveals different forms for some words and names. These details are often interesting to scholars, eg the word 'beginning' in Genesis.
