1Yna dyma'r Arglwydd yn dweud wrth Moses: 2“Dywed wrth bobl Israel am droi yn ôl i gyfeiriad Pi-hachiroth, sydd rhwng Migdol a'r môr, a gwersylla ar lan y môr, yn union gyferbyn â Baal-tseffon. 3Bydd y Pharo yn meddwl, ‘Dydy pobl Israel ddim yn gwybod ble i droi. Maen nhw wedi eu dal rhwng yr anialwch a'r môr!’ 4Bydda i'n gwneud y Pharo yn ystyfnig unwaith eto, a bydd yn dod ar eich holau. Ond bydda i'n cael fy anrhydeddu drwy beth fydd yn digwydd i'r Pharo a'i fyddin, a bydd pobl yr Aifft yn dod i ddeall mai fi ydy'r Arglwydd.” Felly dyma bobl Israel yn gwneud beth ddwedodd Moses.Pharo a'i fyddin yn mynd ar ôl pobl Israel
5Pan ddywedwyd wrth frenin yr Aifft fod y bobl wedi dianc, dyma fe a'i swyddogion yn newid eu meddyliau, “Beth oedd ar ein pennau ni?” medden nhw, “Dŷn ni wedi gadael i'n caethweision fynd yn rhydd!” 6Felly dyma fe'n paratoi ei gerbydau rhyfel ac yn mynd â'i filwyr gydag e. 7Aeth â chwech chant o'i gerbydau gorau, a'r cerbydau eraill i gyd, gyda cadfridog yn bob un. 8Roedd yr Arglwydd wedi gwneud y Pharo, brenin yr Aifft, yn ystyfnig, a dyma fe'n mynd ar ôl pobl Israel. Ond roedd pobl Israel yn mynd yn eu blaenau yn hyderus. 9Dyma'r Eifftiaid yn mynd ar eu holau gyda'i ceffylau a'u cerbydau rhyfel a'u milwyr i gyd, a dod o hyd iddyn nhw yn gwersylla yn Pi-hachiroth, ar lan y môr, gyferbyn a Baal-tseffon. 10Wrth i'r Pharo a'i fyddin agosáu, dyma bobl Israel yn eu gweld nhw'n dod tuag atyn nhw. Roedden nhw wedi dychryn am eu bywydau, a dyma nhw'n gweiddi ar yr Arglwydd, 11a dweud wrth Moses, “Wyt ti wedi dod â ni allan i'r anialwch i farw am fod dim lle i'n claddu ni yn yr Aifft? Beth oedd ar dy ben di yn dod â ni allan o'r Aifft? 12Dyma'n union ddwedon ni pan oedden ni yn yr Aifft, ‘Gad lonydd i ni ddal ati i weithio i'r Eifftiaid. Mae'n well gwneud hynny na mynd i farw yn yr anialwch!’” 13Ond dyma Moses yn dweud wrth y bobl, “Peidiwch bod ag ofn! Arhoswch chi, a cewch weld sut bydd yr Arglwydd yn eich achub chi. Fyddwch chi ddim yn gweld yr Eifftiaid acw byth eto. 14Mae'r Arglwydd yn mynd i ymladd drosoch chi. Does rhaid i chi wneud dim!” 15Dyma'r Arglwydd yn dweud wrth Moses, “Pam wyt ti'n galw arna i? Dywed wrth bobl Israel am fynd yn eu blaenau. 16Cymer di dy ffon, a'i hestyn tuag at y môr. Bydd y môr yn hollti, a bydd pobl Israel yn gallu mynd drwy ei ganol ar dir sych! 17Bydda i'n gwneud yr Eifftiaid mor ystyfnig, byddan nhw'n ceisio mynd ar eu holau drwy'r môr. Ond bydda i'n cael fy anrhydeddu o achos beth fydd yn digwydd i'r Pharo a'i fyddin gyda'i holl gerbydau a'i farchogion. 18A bydd yr Eifftiaid yn dod i ddeall mai fi ydy'r Arglwydd, o achos beth fydd yn digwydd iddyn nhw.” 19Dyma angel Duw, oedd wedi bod yn arwain pobl Israel, yn symud tu ôl iddyn nhw. A dyma'r golofn o niwl yn symud o'r tu blaen i sefyll tu ôl iddyn nhw, 20rhwng gwersyll yr Eifftiaid a gwersyll pobl Israel. Roedd yn gwmwl tywyll un ochr, ac yn goleuo'r nos yr ochr arall. Felly doedd y fyddin un ochr ddim yn gallu mynd yn agos at yr ochr arall drwy'r nos.Croesi'r Môr Coch
21Dyma Moses yn estyn ei law tuag at y môr, a dyma'r Arglwydd yn dod â gwynt cryf o'r dwyrain i chwythu drwy'r nos a gwneud i'r môr fynd yn ôl. Dyma'r môr yn gwahanu, ac roedd gwely'r môr yn llwybr sych drwy'r canol. 22A dyma bobl Israel yn mynd trwy ganol y môr ar dir sych, a'r dŵr fel wal bob ochr iddyn nhw. 23Yna dyma'r Eifftiaid yn mynd ar eu holau i ganol y môr – ceffylau a cherbydau rhyfel a marchogion y Pharo i gyd. 24Yn ystod yr oriau cyn iddi wawrio dyma'r Arglwydd yn edrych i lawr ar fyddin yr Aifft drwy'r golofn o dân a niwl, a dyma fe'n achosi iddyn nhw banicio. 25Gwnaeth i olwynion y cerbydau rhyfel fynd yn sownd, ac roedden nhw'n cael trafferth i symud. 26A dyma'r Arglwydd yn dweud wrth Moses, “Estyn dy law tuag at y môr, i'r dŵr lifo yn ôl dros yr Eifftiaid, eu cerbydau rhyfel a'u marchogion.” 27Felly dyma Moses yn estyn ei law tuag at y môr, a dyma'r môr yn mynd yn ôl i'w le wrth iddi wawrio. Roedd yr Eifftiaid yn ceisio dianc, ond dyma'r Arglwydd yn eu boddi nhw yng nghanol y môr. 28Daeth y dŵr yn ôl dros yr holl gerbydau rhyfel a'r marchogion a byddin y Pharo oedd wedi mynd ar ôl pobl Israel i ganol y môr – wnaeth dim un ohonyn nhw fyw! 29Ond roedd pobl Israel wedi cerdded drwy ganol y môr ar dir sych, gyda'r dŵr fel wal bob ochr iddyn nhw. 30Dyna sut wnaeth yr Arglwydd achub Israel o law'r Eifftiaid y diwrnod hwnnw. Roedd pobl Israel yn gweld cyrff yr Eifftiaid yn gorwedd ar lan y dŵr. 31Ar ôl gweld nerth anhygoel yr Arglwydd yn ymladd yn erbyn yr Eifftiaid, roedden nhw'n ei barchu fe, ac yn ei drystio fe a'i was Moses.

How do I do a word study?

When you click on a word, the detailed lexicon opens with:
'Vocabulary' Bibles link the translation to Greek & Hebrew. So far, only some Bibles have this vocabulary feature. They are shown in the Bible select screen with the letter 'V'.
It is the number of occurrences of a word in the Bible. Click on it to see them all in the selected Bible(s).
This reveals different forms for some words and names. These details are often interesting to scholars, eg the word 'beginning' in Genesis.
