Deuteronomy 7
Pobl Dduw
(Exodus 34:11-16) 1“Bydd yr Arglwydd yn eich helpu chi i gymryd y tir oddi ar saith grŵp o bobl sy'n gryfach na chi – yr Hethiaid, Girgasiaid, Amoriaid, Canaaneaid, Peresiaid, Hefiaid a'r Jebwsiaid. Bydd e'n eu gyrru nhw i gyd allan o'ch blaen chi. 2Bydd e'n rhoi'r gallu i chi eu concro nhw, ac mae'n rhaid i chi eu dinistrio nhw'n llwyr. Peidiwch gwneud cytundeb heddwch gyda nhw, a peidiwch dangos unrhyw drugaredd. 3Peidiwch gadael i'ch plant eu priodi nhw, 4rhag i'ch plant droi cefn ar yr Arglwydd, ac addoli duwiau eraill. Wedyn byddai'r Arglwydd yn gwylltio gyda chi, ac yn eich dinistrio chi'n llwyr! 5Na, rhaid i chi chwalu eu hallorau paganaidd nhw, malu'r colofnau cysegredig, torri polion y dduwies Ashera i lawr, a llosgi eu delwau nhw. 6Dych chi'n bobl sydd wedi eich cysegru i'r Arglwydd eich Duw. O bob cenedl ar wyneb y ddaear, mae wedi eich dewis chi yn drysor sbesial iddo'i hun. 7Wnaeth e ddim eich dewis chi am fod mwy ohonoch chi na'r bobloedd eraill i gyd – roedd llai ohonoch chi os rhywbeth! 8Na, dewisodd yr Arglwydd chi am ei fod wedi'ch caru chi, ac am gadw'r addewid wnaeth e i'ch hynafiaid chi. Dyna pam wnaeth e ddefnyddio'i rym i'ch gollwng chi'n rhydd o fod yn gaethweision i'r Pharo, brenin yr Aifft. 9Felly peidiwch anghofio mai'r Arglwydd eich Duw chi ydy'r unig dduw go iawn. Mae e'n Dduw ffyddlon, a bydd e bob amser ▼▼7:9 bob amser Hebraeg, “am fil o genedlaethau.”
yn cadw'r ymrwymiad mae wedi ei wneud i'r rhai sy'n ei garu ac yn gwneud beth mae e'n ddweud. 10Ond mae'n talu'n ôl i'r bobl hynny sy'n ei gasáu, drwy roi iddyn nhw beth maen nhw'n ei haeddu. 11Felly gwnewch yn siŵr eich bod chi'n cadw'r gorchmynion, y canllawiau a'r rheolau dw i'n eu rhoi i chi heddiw. Y fendith i'r rhai sy'n ufudd
(Deuteronomium 28:1-14; Lefiticus 26:3-13) 12“Os gwnewch chi wrando ar y canllawiau yma, bydd yr Arglwydd eich Duw yn cadw'r ymrwymiad hael wnaeth gyda chi, fel gwnaeth e addo i'ch hynafiaid. 13Bydd e'n eich caru a'ch bendithio chi, ac yn rhoi lot o blant i chi. Bydd eich cnydau'n llwyddo, yr ŷd, y sudd grawnwin a'r olewydd; bydd eich gwartheg yn cael lloi, a'ch preiddiau yn cael lot o rai bach. 14Byddwch yn cael eich bendithio fwy nag unrhyw wlad arall – bydd eich teuluoedd yn tyfu, a bydd nifer eich anifeiliaid yn cynyddu. 15Bydd yr Arglwydd yn eich amddiffyn rhag salwch, a fyddwch chi ddim yn dioddef o'r heintiau wnaeth daro'r Aifft. Eich gelynion fydd yn dioddef o'r pethau yna. 16“Rhaid i chi ddinistrio'r bobl fydd yr Arglwydd yn eich galluogi chi i'w concro nhw. Peidiwch teimlo trueni drostyn nhw, a peidiwch addoli eu duwiau, neu bydd hi ar ben arnoch chi. 17Falle dy fod yn gofyn, ‘Sut ydyn ni'n mynd i lwyddo i gymryd tir y bobloedd yma? – mae mwy ohonyn nhw nag sydd ohonon ni!’ 18Peidiwch poeni! Cofiwch beth wnaeth yr Arglwydd i'r Pharo ac i wlad yr Aifft. 19Defnyddiodd ei rym a'i nerth, a gwneud gwyrthiau rhyfeddol i ddod â chi allan o'r Aifft. A bydd yr Arglwydd eich Duw yn gwneud yr un fath eto i'r bobl yma dych chi'n eu hofni. 20Bydd e'n achosi panig llwyr yn eu plith nhw. Bydd rhai yn ceisio cuddio oddi wrthoch chi, ond byddan nhw i gyd yn cael eu lladd yn y diwedd. 21“Peidiwch bod ag ofn. Mae'r Arglwydd eich Duw gyda chi, ac mae e'n Dduw mawr a rhyfeddol. 22Bydd e, y Duw sy'n eich arwain chi, yn eu gyrru nhw i ffwrdd o dipyn i beth. Fydd e ddim yn gadael i chi gael gwared â nhw i gyd ar unwaith, neu fyddai dim digon o bobl yna i gadw niferoedd yr anifeiliaid gwylltion i lawr. 23Bydd yr Arglwydd eich Duw yn eich galluogi chi i'w concro nhw. Bydd e'n achosi iddyn nhw banicio, nes byddan nhw i gyd wedi eu lladd. 24Byddwch chi'n dal eu brenhinoedd nhw, ac yn eu lladd. Fydd neb yn cofio eu bod nhw wedi byw erioed! 25Llosgwch y delwau o'u duwiau nhw. Peidiwch hyd yn oed cadw'r aur sy'n eu gorchuddio nhw, rhag i chi gael eich trapio ganddo. Mae'r pethau yma yn hollol ffiaidd gan yr Arglwydd eich Duw. 26Peidiwch mynd â dim byd felly i'ch tai, neu byddwch chi dan felltith fel y peth ffiaidd ei hun! Rhaid i chi ei ffieiddio a'i wrthod fel rhywbeth mae'r Arglwydd eisiau ei ddinistrio.
