(Numeri 21:31-35) 1“Yna dyma ni'n troi i'r gogledd, ac yn mynd i gyfeiriad Bashan. A dyma Og brenin Bashan yn dod â'i fyddin gyfan i ymladd yn ein herbyn ni yn Edrei. 2Ond dyma'r Arglwydd yn dweud wrtho i, ‘Paid bod â'i ofn. Dw i'n mynd i roi Og a'i fyddin a'i dir i gyd i ti. Byddi'n gwneud yr un fath iddo fe ag a wnest ti i Sihon brenin yr Amoriaid oedd yn byw yn Cheshbon.’ 3“A dyna wnaeth yr Arglwydd. Dyma ni'n taro Og, brenin Bashan a'i fyddin i gyd – cawson nhw i gyd eu lladd. 4Dyma ni'n concro pob un o'i drefi – chwe deg ohonyn nhw – i gyd yn ardal Argob. 5Roedden nhw i gyd yn gaerau amddiffynnol gyda waliau uchel a giatiau dwbl gyda barrau i'w cloi. Ac roedd llawer iawn o bentrefi agored hefyd. 6Dyma ni'n gwneud yn union yr un fath ag a wnaethon ni i drefi Sihon, brenin Cheshbon – eu dinistrio nhw i gyd, a lladd pawb oedd yn byw ynddyn nhw, hyd yn oed gwragedd a phlant. 7Ond dyma ni'n cadw'r anifeiliaid ac unrhyw beth arall oedd yn werthfawr. 8“Dyna pryd gwnaethon ni gymryd tir dau frenin yr Amoriaid, yr ochr draw i'r Iorddonen – o Geunant Arnon yn y de yr holl ffordd i Fynydd Hermon yn y gogledd. 9(Sirion ydy enw pobl Sidon ar Hermon, ac mae'r Amoriaid yn ei alw yn Senir.) 10Roedden ni wedi concro trefi'r byrdd-dir, Gilead i gyd a Bashan yr holl ffordd i drefi Salca ac Edrei, oedd yn perthyn i deyrnas Og. 11(Og, brenin Bashan, oedd yr unig un o'r Reffaiaid oedd yn dal ar ôl. Dyma fi'n rhoi'r tir sydd i'r gogledd o Aroer, ar ymyl Ceunant Arnon, a hanner bryniau Gilead i lwythau Reuben a Gad. 13Wedyn dyma fi'n rhoi gweddill Gilead a teyrnas Og, sef Bashan, i hanner llwyth Manasse. (Roedd ardal Argob i gyd, sef Bashan, yn arfer cael ei alw yn Wlad y Reffaiaid. 14Dyma Jair o lwyth Manasse, yn cymryd ardal Argob, sef Bashan. Mae'r ardal yn ymestyn at y ffin gyda Geshwr a Maacha. Rhoddodd ei enw ei hun ar yr ardal – Hafoth-jair – a dyna'r enw ar yr ardal hyd heddiw.) 15“Dyma fi'n rhoi Gilead i ddisgynyddion Machir, mab Manasse. 16“Yna i lwythau Reuben a Gad dyma fi'n rhoi'r tir sy'n ymestyn o Gilead i Geunant Arnon (Ceunant Arnon oedd y ffin), ac ymlaen at Wadi Jabboc a ffin Ammon. 17“Y ffin i'r gorllewin oedd Afon Iorddonen, o Lyn Galilea ▼▼3:17 Llyn Galilea Hebraeg, “Llyn Cinnereth”, enw arall arno.

Ond rhaid i'ch milwyr chi groesi o flaen gweddill pobl Israel, yn barod i ymladd. 19Bydd eich gwragedd a'ch plant, yn cael aros yn y trefi dw i wedi eu rhoi i chi. A'r holl anifeiliaid sydd gynnoch chi hefyd (mae gynnoch chi lawer iawn o wartheg). 20Wedyn bydd eich dynion yn cael dod yn ôl pan fydd yr Arglwydd wedi rhoi buddugoliaeth i weddill pobl Israel, fel y gwnaeth gyda chi. Hynny ydy, pan fyddan nhw wedi cymryd drosodd y tir mae'r Arglwydd eich Duw yn ei roi iddyn nhw yr ochr draw i Afon Iorddonen.’ 21“A dyma fi'n dweud wrth Josua, ‘Dych chi wedi gweld beth wnaeth yr Arglwydd i'r ddau frenin yna. Bydd yn gwneud yr un fath i'r teyrnasoedd lle dych chi'n mynd. 22Peidiwch bod ag ofn. Bydd yr Arglwydd eich Duw yn ymladd drosoch chi.’ Moses ddim yn cael mynd i wlad Canaan
23“A dyma fi'n pledio ar yr Arglwydd, 24‘O Feistr, Arglwydd, dw i'n dechrau gweld mor fawr ac mor gryf wyt ti! Oes yna dduw arall yn y nefoedd neu ar y ddaear sy'n gallu gwneud pethau mor anhygoel? 25Plîs, wnei di adael i mi groesi dros yr Afon Iorddonen i weld y tir da sydd yr ochr arall? – y bryniau hyfryd a mynyddoedd Libanus.’ 26“Ond roedd yr Arglwydd yn wyllt hefo fi o'ch achos chi. Doedd e ddim yn fodlon gwrando. Dyma fe'n dweud, ‘Dyna ddigon! Dw i eisiau clywed dim mwy am y peth. 27Cei ddringo i ben Mynydd Pisga, ac edrych ar y wlad i bob cyfeiriad, ond dwyt ti ddim yn mynd i gael croesi dros yr Iorddonen. 28Dw i eisiau i ti gomisiynu Josua, a'i annog a rhoi hyder iddo. Fe ydy'r un sy'n mynd i arwain y bobl yma drosodd i gymryd y wlad fyddi di'n ei gweld o dy flaen di.’ 29“Felly dyma ni'n aros yn y dyffryn gyferbyn â Beth-peor.

How do I do a word study?

When you click on a word, the detailed lexicon opens with:
'Vocabulary' Bibles link the translation to Greek & Hebrew. So far, only some Bibles have this vocabulary feature. They are shown in the Bible select screen with the letter 'V'.
It is the number of occurrences of a word in the Bible. Click on it to see them all in the selected Bible(s).
This reveals different forms for some words and names. These details are often interesting to scholars, eg the word 'beginning' in Genesis.
