Yr Ymrwymiad yn Moab
1Dyma amodau'r ymrwymiad wnaeth yr Arglwydd orchymyn i Moses ei wneud gyda phobl Israel pan oedden nhw ar dir Moab. Roedd hwn yn ychwanegol i'r ymrwymiad wnaeth e gyda nhw ar Fynydd Sinai ▼▼29:1 Mynydd Sinai Hebraeg, “Horeb”, sef enw arall am Fynydd Sinai.
. 2Dyma Moses yn galw pobl Israel at ei gilydd, a dweud wrthyn nhw: “Dych chi wedi gweld popeth wnaeth yr Arglwydd yn yr Aifft i'r Pharo a'i swyddogion, a phawb arall drwy'r wlad. 3Gwelsoch sut wnaeth e eu cosbi nhw, a'r gwyrthiau rhyfeddol wnaeth e. 4Ond dydy'r Arglwydd ddim wedi rhoi'r gallu i chi ddeall y peth hyd heddiw. Does gynnoch chi ddim llygaid sy'n gweld na chlustiau sy'n clywed. 5Dw i wedi'ch arwain chi drwy'r anialwch am bedwar deg mlynedd. Dydy'ch dillad chi ddim wedi difetha, na'ch sandalau chwaith. 6Dych chi ddim wedi bwyta bara nac yfed gwin neu ddiod feddwol. A dw i wedi gwneud hyn i gyd er mwyn i chi ddeall mai fi ydy'r Arglwydd, eich Duw chi! 7Pan gyrhaeddoch chi yma, dyma Sihon, brenin Cheshbon, ac Og, brenin Bashan, yn dod allan i ryfela yn ein herbyn ni, ond ni wnaeth ennill y frwydr. 8Dyma ni'n cymryd eu tir nhw, a'i roi i lwythau Reuben a Gad, a hanner llwyth Manasse. b 9“Felly gwnewch yn siŵr eich bod chi'n cadw amodau'r ymrwymiad yma, a bydd popeth wnewch chi yn llwyddo. 10Dych chi i gyd yn sefyll yma heddiw o flaen yr Arglwydd eich Duw – arweinwyr y llwythau, henuriaid, swyddogion, dynion, 11plant, gwragedd, a'r bobl o'r tu allan sydd gyda chi, y rhai sy'n torri coed ac yn cario dŵr. 12Dych chi i gyd yma i gytuno i amodau'r ymrwymiad mae'r Arglwydd eich Duw yn ei wneud gyda chi. 13Heddiw bydd e'n cadarnhau mai chi ydy ei bobl e, ac mai fe ydy eich Duw chi, fel gwnaeth e addo i chi ar lw i Abraham, Isaac a Jacob. 14A dim chi sydd yma ydy'r unig rai dw i'n gwneud yr ymrwymiad yma gyda nhw, 15ond pawb sy'n fodlon sefyll gyda ni o flaen yr Arglwydd ein Duw, a rhai sydd ddim wedi ei geni eto. 16“Dych chi'n gwybod sut roedden ni'n byw yn yr Aifft, a sut roedd rhaid croesi'r gwahanol wledydd wrth deithio. 17Dych chi wedi gweld eu pethau ffiaidd nhw, a'i heilun-dduwiau o bren, carreg, arian ac aur. 18Gwnewch yn siŵr fod neb yn troi cefn ar yr Arglwydd ein Duw, a dechrau addoli duwiau'r cenhedloedd hynny – gŵr, gwraig, teulu na llwyth. Byddai hynny fel gadael i wreiddyn sy'n rhoi ffrwyth gwenwynig, chwerw, dyfu yn eich plith chi. 19Mae person felly yn clywed amodau'r ymrwymiad yma, ac eto'n dawel fach yn bendithio'i hun a dweud, ‘Bydd popeth yn iawn hyd yn oed os gwna i dynnu'n groes!’ Mae peth felly yn dinistrio'r tir da gyda'r tir sych. 20Fydd yr Arglwydd ddim yn maddau i'r person hwnnw. Bydd e'n wyllt gynddeiriog gydag e, a bydd y melltithion sydd yn y sgrôl yma yn dod arno. Bydd yr Arglwydd yn cael gwared ag e'n llwyr! 21Bydd yr Arglwydd yn ei bigo allan o ganol llwythau Israel i gyd, yn union fel mae'r melltithion sydd yn sgrôl y Gyfraith yn dweud. 22“Bydd eich disgynyddion, a pobl sy'n teithio o wledydd pell, yn gweld fel roedd y wlad wedi dioddef o'r afiechydon a'r trasiedïau wnaeth yr Arglwydd eu hanfon. 23Bydd y tir i gyd wedi ei ddifetha gan frwmstan a halen, sbwriel yn llosgi. Fydd dim yn cael ei blannu a fydd dim yn tyfu arno. Bydd fel dinistr Sodom a Gomorra, c Adma a Seboïm, gafodd eu dinistrio gan yr Arglwydd pan oedd e'n ddig. 24A bydd y cenhedloedd i gyd yn gofyn, ‘Pam mae'r Arglwydd wedi gwneud hyn i'r wlad yma? Pam oedd e wedi gwylltio cymaint?’ 25A bydd pobl yn ateb, ‘Am eu bod nhw wedi troi cefn ar yr ymrwymiad wnaeth yr Arglwydd, Duw eu hynafiaid, pan ddaeth â nhw allan o wlad yr Aifft. 26Roedden nhw wedi troi i addoli duwiau eraill – eilun-dduwiau oedden nhw'n gwybod dim amdanyn nhw, a ddim i fod i'w haddoli nhw. 27Roedd yr Arglwydd wedi gwylltio'n lân gyda nhw, a dyna pam wnaethon nhw ddioddef yr holl felltithion mae'r sgrôl yma'n sôn amdanyn nhw. 28Dyma'r Arglwydd yn eu diwreiddio nhw, a'i gyrru i wlad arall. Roedd yn flin, ac wedi digio'n lân gyda nhw.’ 29“Mae yna rai pethau, dim ond yr Arglwydd sy'n gwybod amdanyn nhw; ond mae pethau eraill sydd wedi eu datguddio i ni a'n disgynyddion, er mwyn i ni bob amser wneud beth mae'r gyfraith yn ei ddweud.

How do I do a word study?

When you click on a word, the detailed lexicon opens with:
'Vocabulary' Bibles link the translation to Greek & Hebrew. So far, only some Bibles have this vocabulary feature. They are shown in the Bible select screen with the letter 'V'.
It is the number of occurrences of a word in the Bible. Click on it to see them all in the selected Bible(s).
This reveals different forms for some words and names. These details are often interesting to scholars, eg the word 'beginning' in Genesis.
