1Gwrandwch arna i'n galaru! Dw i'n canu cân angladdol er cof amdanat ti, wlad Israel: 2“Mae Israel fel merch ifancwedi ei tharo i lawr,
mae hi'n gorwedd ar bridd ei gwlad
a does neb i'w chodi ar ei thraed.”
3Achos dyma mae fy Meistr, yr Arglwydd, yn ei ddweud am wlad Israel: “Dim ond cant fydd ar ôl yn y dre
anfonodd fil allan i'r fyddin,
a dim ond deg fydd ar ôl yn y dre
anfonodd gant i'r fyddin.”
4Dyma mae'r Arglwydd yn ei ddweud wrthot ti, wlad Israel: “Tro yn ôl ata i, a chei fyw!
5Paid troi i gyfeiriad y cysegr yn Bethel,
mynd i ymweld â chysegr Gilgal
na chroesi'r ffin a mynd i lawr i Beersheba.
Bydd pobl Gilgal yn cael eu caethgludo,
a fydd Bethel ddim mwy na rhith!”
6Tro yn ôl at yr Arglwydd, a chei fyw!
Os na wnei di bydd e'n rhuthro drwy wlad Joseff fel tân
ac yn llosgi Bethel yn ulw;
a fydd neb yn gallu diffodd y tân.
7Druan ohonoch chi, sy'n troi cyfiawnder yn beth chwerw,
ac yn gwrthod gwneud beth sy'n iawn yn y tir!
8Duw ydy'r un wnaeth y sêr a –
Pleiades ac Orïon.
Fe sy'n troi'r tywyllwch yn fore,
ac yn troi'r dydd yn nos dywyll.
Mae e'n cymryd dŵr o'r môr
ac yn ei arllwys yn gawodydd ar y tir
—yr Arglwydd ydy ei enw e!
9Mae'n bwrw dinistr ar y mannau mwyaf diogel,
nes bod caerau amddiffynnol yn troi'n adfeilion!
10Dych chi'n casáu'r un sy'n herio anghyfiawnder yn y llys; ac yn ffieiddio unrhyw un sy'n dweud y gwir.
11Felly, am i chi drethu pobl dlawd yn drwm
a dwyn yr ŷd oddi arnyn nhw:
Er eich bod chi wedi adeiladu'ch tai crand o gerrig nadd,
gewch chi ddim byw ynddyn nhw.
Er eich bod chi wedi plannu gwinllannoedd hyfryd,
gewch chi byth yfed y gwin ohonyn nhw.
12Dych chi wedi troseddu yn fy erbyn i mor aml,
ac wedi pechu'n ddiddiwedd
drwy gam-drin pobl onest,
a derbyn breib i wrthod cyfiawnder
i bobl dlawd pan maen nhw yn y llys!
13Byddai unrhyw un call yn cadw'n dawel,
achos mae'n amser drwg.
14Ewch ati i wneud da eto yn lle gwneud drwg,
a chewch fyw!
Wedyn bydd yr Arglwydd, y Duw holl-bwerus,
gyda chi go iawn
(fel dych chi'n meddwl ei fod e nawr!)
15Casewch ddrwg a charu'r da, a gwneud yn siŵr fod tegwch yn y llysoedd. Wedyn, falle y bydd yr Arglwydd, y Duw holl-bwerus, yn garedig at y llond dwrn o bobl sydd ar ôl yng ngwlad Joseff. 16Ond o achos yr holl bethau drwg dych chi'n eu gwneud, dyma mae'r Arglwydd yn ei ddweud – fy Meistr i, y Duw holl-bwerus: “Bydd wylo uchel ym mhob sgwâr,
a sŵn pobl yn gweiddi ar bob stryd ‘O, na! na!’
Bydd y rhai tlawd sy'n gweithio ar y tir yn cael eu galw i alaru,
a bydd y galarwyr proffesiynol yno yn nadu'n uchel.
17Bydd pobl yn wylo'n uchel,
hyd yn oed yn y gwinllannoedd,
achos dw i'n dod i'ch cosbi chi.”
—yr Arglwydd sy'n dweud hyn.
18Druan ohonoch chi! Chi sy'n edrych ymlaen
at y diwrnod pan fydd yr Arglwydd yn dod!
Sut allwch chi edrych ymlaen at y diwrnod hwnnw?
Diwrnod tywyll fydd e, heb ddim golau o gwbl!
19Bydd fel petai rhywun yn dianc oddi wrth lew
ac yn sydyn mae arth yn dod i'w gyfarfod.
Mae'n llwyddo i gyrraedd y tŷ'n ddiogel,
ond yna'n pwyso yn erbyn y wal ac yn cael ei frathu gan neidr!
20Felly bydd hi ar y diwrnod pan fydd yr Arglwydd yn dod –
diwrnod tywyll fydd e, dim un golau!
Ie, tywyllwch dudew heb lygedyn o olau!
21“Dw i'n casáu eich gwyliau crefyddol chi,
ac yn eu diystyru nhw.
Dydy'ch addoliad chi'n rhoi dim pleser i mi. b
22Er i chi ddod i gyflwyno aberthau i'w llosgi i mi,
ac offrymau bwyd, wna i ddim eu derbyn nhw.
Gallwch ddod ac offrymu eich anifeiliaid gorau i mi,
ond fydda i'n cymryd dim sylw o gwbl!
23Plîs stopiwch ddod yma i forio canu eich emynau,
does gen i ddim eisiau clywed sŵn eich offerynnau cerdd chi.
24Beth dw i eisiau ydy gweld cyfiawnder fel dŵr yn gorlifo,
a thegwch fel ffrwd gref sydd byth yn sychu.
25“Wnaethoch chi gyflwyno aberthau ac offrymau i mi yn ystod y pedwar deg mlynedd yn yr anialwch, bobl Israel? 26“A nawr mae'n well gynnoch chi gario eich ‛brenin‛ Saccwth, a'ch delw o Caiwan – sef duwiau'r sêr dych chi wedi eu llunio i chi'ch hunain! 27Felly, bydda i'n eich gyrru chi'n gaethion i wlad sydd tu draw i Damascus.” —yr Arglwydd sy'n dweud hyn, sef yr un sy'n cael ei alw y Duw holl-bwerus.

How do I do a word study?

When you click on a word, the detailed lexicon opens with:
'Vocabulary' Bibles link the translation to Greek & Hebrew. So far, only some Bibles have this vocabulary feature. They are shown in the Bible select screen with the letter 'V'.
It is the number of occurrences of a word in the Bible. Click on it to see them all in the selected Bible(s).
This reveals different forms for some words and names. These details are often interesting to scholars, eg the word 'beginning' in Genesis.
