1Dyma Paul yn edrych ar aelodau'r Sanhedrin ac yn dweud, “Frodyr, dw i wedi gwasanaethu Duw gyda chydwybod glir, a dw i'n dal i wneud hynny heddiw.” 2Ar unwaith, dyma Ananias yr archoffeiriad yn gorchymyn i'r rhai oedd yn sefyll wrth ymyl Paul ei daro ar ei geg. 3Dyma Paul yn ymateb trwy ddweud, “Bydd Duw yn dy daro di, y rhagrithiwr! ▼▼23:3 y rhagrithiwr: Groeg, “wal wedi ei gwyngalchu”
Sut alli di eistedd yna yn fy marnu i ar sail Cyfraith Moses, tra'n torri'r un Gyfraith drwy orchymyn fy nharo i!” 4“Wyt ti'n meiddio sarhau archoffeiriad Duw fel yna?” meddai'r rhai wrth ei ymyl. 5“Frodyr,” meddai Paul, “doeddwn i ddim yn sylweddoli mai'r archoffeiriad oedd e. Mae'r ysgrifau'n dweud: ‘Paid dweud dim byd drwg am arweinydd dy bobl.’ b” 6Roedd Paul yn gwybod yn iawn fod rhai ohonyn nhw'n Sadwceaid ac eraill yn Phariseaid, felly galwodd allan yng nghanol y Sanhedrin, “Frodyr, Pharisead ydw i, a dyna oedd fy nghyndadau. Dw i yma ar brawf am fy mod i'n credu fod y meirw'n mynd i ddod yn ôl yn fyw.” 7Pan ddwedodd hyn dyma'r Phariseaid a'r Sadwceaid yn dechrau dadlau. 8(Dydy Sadwceaid ddim yn credu fod atgyfodiad, nac angylion nac ysbrydion, ond mae'r Phariseaid yn credu ynddyn nhw i gyd.) 9Roedd yna dwrw ofnadwy, gyda rhai o'r arbenigwyr yn y Gyfraith oedd yn Phariseaid ar eu traed yn dadlau'n ffyrnig. “Dydy'r dyn yma ddim wedi gwneud unrhyw beth o'i le! Falle fod ysbryd neu angel wedi siarad â fe!” 10Aeth pethau mor ddrwg nes bod y capten yn ofni y byddai Paul yn cael ei anafu yn eu canol nhw! Felly gorchmynnodd i'w filwyr fynd i lawr i'w achub o'u canol a mynd ag e yn ôl i'r barics. 11Y noson honno daeth yr Arglwydd at Paul a dweud wrtho, “Bydd yn ddewr! Mae'n rhaid i ti ddweud amdana i yn Rhufain, yn union fel rwyt ti wedi gwneud yma yn Jerwsalem.” Y cynllwyn i ladd Paul
12Y bore wedyn dyma grŵp o Iddewon yn mynd ar lw i beidio bwyta nac yfed nes roedden nhw wedi llwyddo i ladd Paul. 13Roedd dros bedwar deg o ddynion yn rhan o'r cynllwyn yma. 14A dyma nhw'n mynd at yr archoffeiriad a'r arweinwyr Iddewig a dweud wrthyn nhw, “Dŷn ni wedi mynd ar lw i beidio bwyta dim byd nes byddwn ni wedi lladd Paul. 15Ond mae arnon ni angen eich help chi. Gofynnwch i'r capten ddod ag e o flaen y Sanhedrin eto, gan esgus eich bod chi eisiau edrych yn fwy manwl ar ei achos. Gwnawn ni ymosod arno a'i ladd ar y ffordd yma.” 16Ond clywodd nai i Paul (mab ei chwaer) am y cynllwyn, ac aeth i'r barics i ddweud wrth Paul. 17Dyma Paul yn galw un o'r swyddogion milwrol a dweud wrtho, “Dos â'r bachgen ifanc yma at y capten; mae ganddo rywbeth pwysig i'w ddweud wrtho.” 18Gwnaeth hynny, ac esbonio i'r capten, “Paul y carcharor ofynnodd i mi ddod â'r bachgen yma atoch chi am fod ganddo rywbeth i'w ddweud wrthoch chi.” 19Dyma'r capten yn gafael yn llaw'r bachgen, a mynd o'r neilltu a gofyn iddo, “Beth rwyt ti eisiau ei ddweud wrtho i?” 20Meddai'r bachgen: “Mae'r Iddewon yn mynd i ofyn i chi fynd â Paul i sefyll o flaen y Sanhedrin eto fory, gan esgus eu bod eisiau ystyried ei achos yn fwy manwl. 21Ond rhaid i chi beidio. Mae yna dros bedwar deg o ddynion yn cuddio ar y ffordd, yn barod i ymosod arno. Maen nhw wedi cymryd llw i beidio bwyta nac yfed nes byddan nhw wedi lladd Paul. Maen nhw'n barod, yn disgwyl i chi gytuno i'r cais.” 22“Paid sôn wrth neb dy fod ti wedi dweud wrtho i am hyn,” meddai'r capten wrth iddo anfon y bachgen i ffwrdd.Trosglwyddo Paul i Cesarea
23Wedyn dyma'r capten yn galw dau o'i swyddogion, a gorchymyn iddyn nhw, “Paratowch fintai o ddau gant o filwyr erbyn naw o'r gloch heno i fynd i Cesarea. Hefyd saith deg o farchogion a dau gant o bicellwyr. 24Paratowch geffyl i Paul hefyd, a mynd ag e'n saff at y llywodraethwr Ffelics.” 25Yna ysgrifennodd y llythyr yma at Ffelics: 26Oddi wrth Clawdiws Lysias, at eich Anrhydedd, y Llywodraethwr Ffelics:Cyfarchion!
27Roedd y dyn yma wedi ei ddal gan yr Iddewon, ac roedden nhw ar fin ei ladd. Ond ar ôl deall ei fod yn ddinesydd Rhufeinig dyma fi'n mynd â'm milwyr i'w achub. 28Gan fy mod eisiau deall beth oedd y cyhuddiad yn ei erbyn, dyma fi'n mynd ag e i sefyll o flaen y Sanhedrin Iddewig. 29Daeth yn amlwg fod gan y cwbl rywbeth i'w wneud â'r ffordd iawn o ddehongli eu Cyfraith nhw – doedd e'n sicr ddim yn haeddu ei ddienyddio, na hyd yn oed ei garcharu! 30Ond wedyn ces wybodaeth fod cynllwyn ar y gweill i'w ladd, felly dyma fi'n ei anfon atoch chi ar unwaith. Dw i wedi dweud wrth y rhai sy'n ei gyhuddo am fynd â'u hachos atoch chi.
31Felly yn ystod y nos dyma'r milwyr yn mynd â Paul o Jerwsalem, ac yn cyrraedd cyn belled ag Antipatris, oedd tua hanner ffordd i Cesarea. 32Y diwrnod wedyn dyma'r marchogion yn mynd yn eu blaenau gydag e, a gweddill y milwyr yn mynd yn ôl i'r barics yn Jerwsalem. 33Pan gyrhaeddodd y marchogion Cesarea, dyma nhw'n mynd â'r llythyr at y llywodraethwr ac yn trosglwyddo Paul i'w ofal. 34Ar ôl darllen y llythyr dyma'r llywodraethwr yn gofyn o ba dalaith roedd Paul yn dod. Ar ôl deall ei fod yn dod o Cilicia, 35meddai, “Gwna i wrando ar dy achos di pan fydd y rhai sy'n dy gyhuddo di wedi cyrraedd.” Yna gorchmynnodd fod Paul i gael ei gadw yn y ddalfa ym mhencadlys Herod.

How do I do a word study?

When you click on a word, the detailed lexicon opens with:
'Vocabulary' Bibles link the translation to Greek & Hebrew. So far, only some Bibles have this vocabulary feature. They are shown in the Bible select screen with the letter 'V'.
It is the number of occurrences of a word in the Bible. Click on it to see them all in the selected Bible(s).
This reveals different forms for some words and names. These details are often interesting to scholars, eg the word 'beginning' in Genesis.
