1Yn ystod y cyfnod hwnnw daeth rhyw ddynion o Jwdea a dechrau dysgu hyn i'r credinwyr yn Antiochia: “Allwch chi ddim cael eich achub heb gadw'r ddefod Iddewig o enwaedu dynion fel gwnaeth Moses ddysgu.” 2Achosodd hyn ddadlau a thaeru ffyrnig rhyngddyn nhw a Paul a Barnabas. Felly dyma'r eglwys yn dewis Paul a Barnabas gydag eraill i fynd i Jerwsalem i drafod y mater gyda'r apostolion a'r arweinwyr yno. 3Ar eu ffordd yno dyma nhw'n galw heibio'r credinwyr yn Phenicia a Samaria, a dweud wrthyn nhw am y bobl o genhedloedd eraill oedd wedi cael tröedigaeth. Roedd y credinwyr wrth eu boddau o glywed yr hanes. 4Pan gyrhaeddon nhw Jerwsalem cawson nhw groeso mawr gan yr eglwys a gan yr apostolion a'r arweinwyr eraill yno. A dyma nhw'n adrodd hanes y cwbl roedd Duw wedi ei wneud trwyddyn nhw. 5Ond dyma rai o'r Phariseaid oedd wedi dod i gredu yn sefyll ar eu traed a dadlau fod rhaid i bobl o genhedloedd eraill sy'n dod i gredu ufuddhau i Gyfraith Moses a chadw'r ddefod o enwaedu. 6Dyma'r apostolion ac arweinwyr eraill yr eglwys yn cyfarfod i ystyried y cwestiwn. 7Ar ôl lot o ddadlau brwd dyma Pedr yn codi ar ei draed, a dweud: “Frodyr. Beth amser yn ôl dych chi'n cofio fod Duw wedi fy newis i rannu'r newyddion da gyda phobl o genhedloedd eraill, a'u cael nhw i gredu. 8Mae Duw yn gwybod beth sydd yng nghalon pobl, a dangosodd yn glir ei fod yn eu derbyn nhw drwy roi'r Ysbryd Glân iddyn nhw yn union fel y cafodd ei roi i ni. 9Doedd Duw ddim yn gwahaniaethu rhyngon ni a nhw, am ei fod wedi puro eu calonnau nhw hefyd wrth iddyn nhw gredu. 10Felly pam dych chi'n amau beth mae Duw wedi ei wneud, drwy fynnu fod y disgyblion yma'n cario beichiau roedden ni a'n hynafiaid yn methu eu cario? 11Dŷn ni'n credu'n hollol groes! – mai dim ond ffafr a haelioni'r Arglwydd Iesu sy'n ein hachub ni fel hwythau!” 12Doedd gan neb ddim byd arall i'w ddweud, a dyma nhw'n gwrando ar Barnabas a Paul yn dweud am yr arwyddion gwyrthiol a'r pethau rhyfeddol eraill roedd Duw wedi eu gwneud trwyddyn nhw pan oedden nhw gyda phobl o genhedloedd eraill. 13Ar ôl iddyn nhw orffen siarad dyma Iago'n dweud: “Gwrandwch, frodyr. 14Mae Simon wedi disgrifio sut dewisodd Duw bobl iddo'i hun o genhedloedd eraill am y tro cyntaf. 15Ac mae beth ddwedodd y proffwydi yn cadarnhau hynny, er enghraifft: 16 ‘Bydda i'n dod nôl wedi hyni ailsefydlu teyrnas Dafydd sydd wedi syrthio.
Bydda i'n adeiladu ei adfeilion, a'i adfer,
17er mwyn i weddill y ddynoliaeth geisio'r Arglwydd,
a'r holl wledydd eraill sy'n perthyn i mi.’ a
Mae'r Arglwydd wedi gwneud y pethau yma 18yn hysbys ers oesoedd maith. b
19“Felly, yn fy marn i, ddylen ni ddim gwneud pethau'n anodd i'r bobl o genhedloedd eraill sy'n troi at Dduw. 20Yn lle hynny, gadewch i ni ysgrifennu atyn nhw, a gofyn iddyn nhw beidio bwyta bwyd sydd wedi ei lygru gan eilun-dduwiau, cadw draw oddi wrth anfoesoldeb rhywiol, a pheidio bwyta cig anifeiliaid sydd wedi eu tagu nac unrhyw beth â gwaed ynddo. 21Mae yna rai ym mhob dinas sydd wedi bod yn pregethu beth ddysgodd Moses ers amser maith, ac mae Cyfraith Moses yn cael ei darllen yn y synagogau bob Saboth.”

22Dyma'r apostolion, gyda'r eglwys gyfan a'i harweinwyr, yn penderfynu dewis dynion i fynd i Antiochia yn Syria gyda Paul a Barnabas. Dau o'r arweinwyr gafodd eu dewis, sef Jwdas (sy'n cael ei alw'n Barsabas) a Silas. 23Ac roedden nhw i fynd â'r llythyr yma gyda nhw: Llythyr oddi wrth y brodyr yn Jerwsalem, sef apostolion ac arweinwyr yr eglwys.At ein brodyr a'n chwiorydd o genhedloedd eraill yn Antiochia, Syria a Cilicia:

24Dŷn ni wedi clywed fod rhywrai oddi yma wedi bod yn creu helynt acw, ac yn eich drysu a'ch ypsetio chi gyda beth maen nhw'n ei ddysgu. Dim ni wnaeth eu hanfon nhw. 25Felly dŷn ni wedi cytuno'n unfrydol i anfon dynion atoch chi gyda'n ffrindiau annwyl Barnabas a Paul 26sydd wedi mentro'u bywydau dros ein Harglwydd Iesu Grist. 27Bydd Jwdas a Silas yn cadarnhau ar lafar beth dŷn ni wedi ei roi yn y llythyr yma.
28Mae'r Ysbryd Glân wedi dangos i ni, a ninnau wedi penderfynu na ddylen ni ofyn mwy na hyn gynnoch chi: 29Eich bod i beidio bwyta unrhyw beth sydd wedi ei aberthu i eilun-dduwiau, na dim sydd â gwaed ynddo, na chig unrhyw anifail sydd wedi ei dagu. Hefyd, eich bod i gadw draw oddi wrth unrhyw anfoesoldeb rhywiol. Byddai'n beth da i chi osgoi y pethau yma.

30Felly dyma Paul a Barnabas, Jwdas a Silas yn cael eu hanfon ar eu ffordd, ac yn cyrraedd Antiochia yn Syria. Yno dyma nhw'n casglu pawb at ei gilydd ac yn cyflwyno'r llythyr iddyn nhw. 31Cafodd y llythyr ei ddarllen, ac roedd y bobl yn hapus iawn ac wedi eu calonogi'n fawr gan yr hyn roedd yn ei ddweud. 32A dyma Jwdas a Silas, oedd yn broffwydi, yn siarad yn hir gyda'r Cristnogion yno, a dweud llawer o bethau i'w hannog a chryfhau eu ffydd. 33Ar ôl aros yn Antiochia am beth amser, dyma'r ddau yn mynd yn ôl i Jerwsalem at y bobl oedd wedi eu hanfon, a hynny gyda bendith Cristnogion Antiochia. ▼

36Ar ôl i dipyn o amser fynd heibio dyma Paul yn dweud wrth Barnabas, “Gad i ni fynd yn ôl i ymweld â'r credinwyr yn y lleoedd hynny lle buon ni'n cyhoeddi neges yr Arglwydd, i weld sut maen nhw'n dod yn eu blaenau.” 37Roedd Barnabas am fynd, ond roedd eisiau mynd â Ioan Marc gyda nhw hefyd. 38Ond roedd Paul yn gwbl benderfynol na ddylai gael mynd, am fod Marc wedi troi ei gefn arnyn nhw yn Pamffilia a heb gario ymlaen gyda nhw yn y gwaith. 39Aeth hi'n gymaint o ffrae rhyngddyn nhw nes iddyn nhw wahanu. Dyma Barnabas yn hwylio i Cyprus gyda Marc, 40a Paul yn dewis Silas i fynd gydag e. Ar ôl cael eu cyflwyno i ofal yr Arglwydd gan y credinwyr eraill, 41dyma nhw'n teithio drwy Syria a Cilicia yn cryfhau'r eglwysi.

When you click on a word, the detailed lexicon opens with:
'Vocabulary' Bibles link the translation to Greek & Hebrew. So far, only some Bibles have this vocabulary feature. They are shown in the Bible select screen with the letter 'V'.
It is the number of occurrences of a word in the Bible. Click on it to see them all in the selected Bible(s).
This reveals different forms for some words and names. These details are often interesting to scholars, eg the word 'beginning' in Genesis.
