Dinistr athrawon ffals
1Ond roedd proffwydi ffals hefyd yn Israel bryd hynny, a bydd athrawon ffals yn codi yn eich plith chithau. Byddan nhw'n sleifio i mewn gyda heresïau sy'n arwain i ddinistr. A hyd yn oed yn mynd mor bell a gwadu awdurdod y Meistr brynodd ryddid iddyn nhw oddi wrth bechod! Byddan nhw'n dwyn dinistr arnyn nhw eu hunain yn fuan iawn. 2Bydd llawer o bobl yn eu dilyn ac yn rhoi penrhyddid llwyr i'w chwantau rhywiol. Bydd y wir ffordd at Dduw yn cael enw drwg ganddyn nhw. 3Byddan nhw'n ceisio manteisio arnoch chi a chael eich arian chi drwy adrodd straeon celwyddog. Maen nhw wedi cael eu dedfrydu i gael eu cosbi ers amser maith, a dydy'r ddedfryd ddim wedi ei hanghofio. Mae'r dinistr sy'n dod arnyn nhw ar ei ffordd! 4Wnaeth Duw ddim hyd yn oed arbed yr angylion oedd yn euog o bechu yn ei erbyn. Anfonodd nhw i uffern, a'u rhwymo yn nhywyllwch dudew y byd tanddaearol i ddisgwyl cael eu cosbi. 5Wnaeth e ddim arbed yr hen fyd chwaith. Anfonodd lifogydd y dilyw i foddi'r byd oedd yn llawn o bobl oedd yn tynnu'n groes iddo. Dim ond Noa a saith aelod o'i deulu gafodd eu harbed. Noa oedd yr unig un oedd yn galw ar bobl i fyw yn ufudd i Dduw. a 6Wedyn cafodd trefi Sodom a Gomorra eu llosgi'n ulw, ▼▼2:6 Sodom a Gomorra: Pan oedd Abraham yn fyw, dyma Duw yn dinistrio'r trefi yma am fod y bobl mor ddrwg – gw. Genesis 19:24.
a'u gwneud yn esiampl o beth sy'n mynd i ddigwydd i bobl annuwiol. 7Ond cafodd Lot ei achub o Gomorra am ei fod e yn ddyn oedd yn gwneud beth oedd yn iawn. Roedd yn torri ei galon wrth weld ymddygiad diegwyddor a phenrhyddid llwyr pobl o'i gwmpas. 8Roedd Lot yn ceisio gwneud beth oedd yn iawn yng ngolwg Duw. Roedd yn cael ei boeni'n enbyd gan y pethau ofnadwy roedd yn ei weld ac yn ei glywed o'i gwmpas. 9Felly mae'r Arglwydd yn gwybod yn iawn sut i achub pobl dduwiol o ganol eu treialon. Ond mae'n cadw pobl ddrwg i'w cosbi pan ddaw dydd y farn. 10Mae Duw yn arbennig o llym wrth gosbi'r rhai hynny sy'n gwneud dim ond dilyn eu chwantau. Pobl sy'n gadael i'w natur bechadurus lygredig reoli eu bywydau, ac sy'n wfftio awdurdod yr Arglwydd. Maen nhw mor haerllug ac mor siŵr ohonyn nhw eu hunain does ganddyn nhw ddim ofn enllibio'r diafol a'i angylion. 11Dydy hyd yn oed angylion Duw, sy'n llawer cryfach a mwy pwerus na nhw, ddim yn eu henllibio nhw wrth eu cyhuddo o flaen Duw. 12Ond mae'r bobl yma fel anifeiliaid direswm yn dilyn eu greddfau. Maen nhw'n enllibio pethau dŷn nhw ddim yn eu deall. A byddan nhw hefyd yn cael eu dal a'u dinistrio yn y diwedd. 13Byddan nhw'n cael eu talu yn ôl am y drwg maen nhw wedi ei wneud! Eu syniad nhw o hwyl ydy rhialtwch gwyllt yng ngolau dydd. Maen nhw fel staen ar eich cymdeithas chi, yn ymgolli yn eu pleserau gwag wrth eistedd i wledda gyda chi. 14Rhyw ydy'r unig beth sydd ar eu meddyliau nhw wrth edrych ar wragedd, ac maen nhw o hyd ac o hyd yn edrych am gyfle i bechu. Maen nhw'n taflu abwyd i ddal y rhai sy'n hawdd i'w camarwain. Maen nhw'n arbenigwyr ar gymryd mantais o bobl. Byddan nhw'n cael eu melltithio! 15Maen nhw wedi crwydro oddi ar y ffordd iawn a dilyn esiampl Balaam fab Beor ▼▼2:15 Balaam fab Beor: Mae'r hanes beiblaidd yn dweud fod Balaam wedi gwrthod melltithio pobl Israel am arian (gw. Numeri 22:18; 24:13), ond roedd athrawon Iddewig yn dysgu fod Balaam wedi derbyn arian.

Mae'r tywyllwch dudew yn barod i'w llyncu nhw! 18Mae eu geiriau gwag nhw a'u brolio di-baid, a'r penrhyddid rhywiol fel abwyd yn denu pobl – a'r bobl hynny ddim ond newydd lwyddo i ddianc o'r math o fywyd mae'r paganiaid yn ei fyw. 19Maen nhw'n addo rhyddid i bobl, ond maen nhw eu hunain yn gaeth i bethau sy'n arwain i ddinistr! – achos “mae rhywun yn gaeth i beth bynnag sydd wedi ei drechu.” 20Os ydy pobl wedi dianc o'r bywyd aflan sydd yn y byd trwy ddod i nabod ein Harglwydd a'n Hachubwr Iesu Grist, ac wedyn yn cael eu dal a'u rheoli gan yr un pethau eto, “maen nhw mewn gwaeth cyflwr yn y diwedd nag oedden nhw ar y dechrau!” 21Byddai'n well iddyn nhw beidio gwybod o gwbl am y ffordd iawn, na bod wedi dod o hyd i'r ffordd honno ac wedyn troi eu cefnau ar y ddysgeidiaeth dda gafodd ei basio ymlaen iddyn nhw. 22Mae'r hen ddihareb yn wir!: “Mae ci'n mynd yn ôl at ei chwŷd.” d Ydy, “Mae hwch, ar ôl ymolchi, yn mynd yn ôl i orweddian yn y mwd.” ▼▼2:22: Dihareb ddwyreiniol wedi ei chadw yn Stori Ahicar.

How do I do a word study?

When you click on a word, the detailed lexicon opens with:
'Vocabulary' Bibles link the translation to Greek & Hebrew. So far, only some Bibles have this vocabulary feature. They are shown in the Bible select screen with the letter 'V'.
It is the number of occurrences of a word in the Bible. Click on it to see them all in the selected Bible(s).
This reveals different forms for some words and names. These details are often interesting to scholars, eg the word 'beginning' in Genesis.
