(2 Brenhinoedd 23:30-35) 1Dyma bobl y wlad yn cymryd Jehoachas, mab Joseia, a'i wneud yn frenin yn Jerwsalem yn lle ei dad. 2Roedd e'n ddau ddeg tri pan ddaeth yn frenin, a bu'n frenin yn Jerwsalem am dri mis. 3Dyma, Necho, brenin yr Aifft yn ei gymryd o Jerwsalem a rhoi treth ar y wlad o dair mil cilogram o arian a tri deg cilogram o aur. 4Wedyn dyma fe'n gwneud Eliacim, brawd Jehoachas, yn frenin ar Jwda a Jerwsalem, a newid ei enw i Jehoiacim. (2 Brenhinoedd 23:36—24:7) 5Roedd Jehoiacim yn ddau ddeg pump oed pan gafodd ei wneud yn frenin, a bu'n frenin yn Jerwsalem am un deg un o flynyddoedd. Gwnaeth bethau drwg iawn yng ngolwg yr Arglwydd ei Dduw. 6Dyma Nebwchadnesar, brenin Babilon, yn ymosod ar y wlad. Dyma fe'n ei roi mewn cadwyni pres a mynd ag e'n gaeth i Babilon. 7Cymerodd Nebwchadnesar rai o lestri teml yr Arglwydd a mynd â nhw i Babilon a'u gosod yn ei balas ei hun. 8Mae gweddill hanes Jehoiacim, a'r pethau ffiaidd wnaeth e, a'r cyhuddiadau yn ei erbyn, i'w gweld yn sgrôl Hanes Brenhinoedd Israel a Jwda. Gwnaeth bethau drwg iawn yng ngolwg yr Arglwydd. 10Yn y gwanwyn dyma Nebwchadnesar yn anfon rhai i'w gymryd e i Babilon, a llestri gwerthfawr o deml yr Arglwydd hefyd. (2 Brenhinoedd 24:18-20; Jeremeia 52:1-3a) 11Roedd Sedeceia yn ddau ddeg un oed pan gafodd ei benodi'n frenin. ▼▼36:11 benodi'n frenin Gan Nebwchadnesar (gw. Jeremeia 37:1).
Bu'n teyrnasu yn Jerwsalem am un deg un mlynedd. 12Gwnaeth bethau drwg iawn yng ngolwg yr Arglwydd ei Dduw, a gwrthododd wrando ar y proffwyd Jeremeia oedd yn rhoi neges Duw iddo. 13Dyma fe'n gwrthryfela yn erbyn y Brenin Nebwchadnesar, er fod hwnnw wedi gwneud iddo addo o flaen Duw y byddai'n deyrngar iddo. Trodd yn ystyfnig a penstiff a gwrthod troi yn ôl at yr Arglwydd, Duw Israel. 14Roedd arweinwyr yr offeiriaid a'r bobl hefyd yn anffyddlon, ac yn gwneud yr un math o bethau ffiaidd a'r gwledydd paganaidd. Dyma nhw'n llygru'r deml oedd wedi ei chysegru i'r Arglwydd yn Jerwsalem. 15Anfonodd yr Arglwydd, Duw eu hynafiaid, broffwydi i'w rhybuddio nhw dro ar ôl tro, am ei fod yn Dduw oedd yn tosturio wrth ei bobl a'i deml. 16Ond roedden nhw'n gwneud hwyl ar ben negeswyr Duw, yn cymryd eu geiriau'n ysgafn a dirmygu ei broffwydi. Yn y diwedd roedd yr Arglwydd mor ddig gyda nhw doedd dim byd allai neb ei wneud i atal y farn. Byddin Babilon yn dinistrio Jerwsalem
17Anfonodd Duw frenin Babilon yn eu herbyn. Dyma hwnnw'n lladd y dynion ifainc â'r cleddyf yn y deml. Gafodd neb eu harbed – y dynion a'r merched ifainc, na'r hen a'r oedrannus. Gadawodd yr Arglwydd iddo eu lladd nhw i gyd. 18Cymerodd bopeth o deml Dduw, bach a mawr, popeth oedd yn stordai'r deml, a trysorau'r brenin a'i swyddogion, a mynd â'r cwbl i Babilon. 19Wedyn dyma'r fyddin yn llosgi teml Dduw a bwrw waliau Jerwsalem i lawr. Dyma nhw'n llosgi'r palasau brenhinol a dinistrio popeth gwerthfawr oedd yno. 20A dyma fe'n mynd â phawb oedd heb gael eu lladd yn gaethion i Babilon. Yno buon nhw'n gaethweision i'r brenin a'i feibion nes i'r Persiaid deyrnasu. 21Felly daeth beth ddwedodd yr Arglwydd drwy Jeremeia yn wir. Cafodd y tir ei Sabothau e, arhosodd heb ei drin am saith deg mlynedd f.Cyrus yn gadael i'r caethion fynd yn ôl i Jerwsalem

How do I do a word study?

When you click on a word, the detailed lexicon opens with:
'Vocabulary' Bibles link the translation to Greek & Hebrew. So far, only some Bibles have this vocabulary feature. They are shown in the Bible select screen with the letter 'V'.
It is the number of occurrences of a word in the Bible. Click on it to see them all in the selected Bible(s).
This reveals different forms for some words and names. These details are often interesting to scholars, eg the word 'beginning' in Genesis.
