1 Samuel 22
Dafydd yn Ogof Adwlam
1Felly dyma Dafydd yn dianc o Gath a mynd i Ogof Adwlam ▼▼22:1 Rhyw ddeuddeg milltir i'r de-orllewin o Bethlehem.
. Pan glywodd ei frodyr a'i deulu ei fod yno dyma nhw'n mynd ato. 2Roedd pawb oedd mewn helynt yn ymuno gydag e hefyd, a rhai oedd mewn dyled, neu gyda chwyn o ryw fath. Roedd tua 400 ohonyn nhw i gyd, a Dafydd yn eu harwain nhw. 3Aeth Dafydd ymlaen o'r fan honno i Mitspe yn Moab. Gofynnodd i frenin Moab, “Plîs wnei di adael i dad a mam aros yma, nes bydda i yn gwybod be mae Duw am ei wneud i mi?” 4Felly aeth â nhw i aros at frenin Moab, a buon nhw'n aros gydag e yr holl amser roedd Dafydd yn y gaer. 5Yna dyma Gad, y proffwyd, yn rhybuddio Dafydd, “Paid aros yn ei gaer. Dos yn ôl i wlad Jwda.” Felly dyma Dafydd yn mynd i Goedwig Chereth. Saul yn lladd offeiriaid Nob
6Clywodd Saul fod Dafydd a'r dynion oedd gydag e wedi cael eu gweld. Roedd Saul yn Gibea yn eistedd o dan y goeden tamarisg ar ben y bryn, gyda'i waywffon yn ei law a'i swyddogion o'i gwmpas. 7A dyma fe'n dweud wrthyn nhw, “Gwrandwch, bobl Benjamin. Ydy mab Jesse'n mynd i roi tir a gwinllannoedd i chi? Ydy e'n mynd i'ch gwneud chi'n gapteiniaid ac yn swyddogion yn ei fyddin? 8Pam dych chi'n cynllwynio yn fy erbyn i? Pam wnaeth neb ddweud wrtho i fod fy mab fy hun wedi gwneud cytundeb gyda mab Jesse? Doedd neb yn cydymdeimlo hefo fi. Doedd neb yn fodlon dweud wrtho i fod fy mab i fy hun yn helpu gwas i mi i baratoi i ymosod arna i. Dyna sy'n digwydd!” 9Yna dyma Doeg (y dyn o Edom oedd yn un o swyddogion Saul) yn dweud, “Gwnes i weld mab Jesse yn Nob. Roedd wedi mynd at yr offeiriad Achimelech fab Achitwf. 10Gweddïodd hwnnw am arweiniad yr Arglwydd iddo, ac yna rhoi bwyd iddo. Rhoddodd gleddyf Goliath y Philistiad iddo hefyd.” 11Felly dyma Saul yn anfon am Achimelech fab Achitwf, a'r offeiriaid eraill yn Nob. A dyma nhw i gyd yn dod at y brenin. 12“Gwranda, fab Achitwf,” meddai Saul wrtho. A dyma fe'n ateb, “Ie, syr?” 13Ac meddai Saul, “Pam wyt ti a mab Jesse wedi cynllwyn yn fy erbyn i? Rhoist ti fara a chleddyf iddo. Wedyn gweddïo am arweiniad Duw iddo, i wrthryfela yn fy erbyn i! Mae e wrthi heddiw yn paratoi i ymosod arna i!” 14Dyma Achimelech yn ateb y brenin, “Pwy o dy holl weision di sy'n fwy ffyddlon i ti na Dafydd? Dy fab-yng-nghyfraith di ydy e! Capten dy warchodlu di! Mae e'n uchel ei barch gan bawb yn dy balas. 15Ai dyna'r tro cyntaf i mi weddïo am arweiniad Duw iddo? Wrth gwrs ddim! Ddylai'r brenin ddim fy nghyhuddo i, na neb arall o'm teulu, o wneud dim o'i le. Doeddwn i'n gwybod dim byd o gwbl am y peth.” 16Ond dyma'r brenin yn ateb, “Rhaid i ti a dy deulu i gyd farw Achimelech!” 17Yna dyma fe'n dweud wrth y milwyr oedd o'i gwmpas, “Daliwch yr offeiriaid a lladdwch nhw, achos maen nhw ar ochr Dafydd! Roedden nhw'n gwybod ei fod e'n dianc, ond wnaethon nhw ddim dweud wrtho i.” Ond doedd y milwyr ddim yn fodlon ymosod ar offeiriaid yr Arglwydd. 18Felly dyma'r brenin yn dweud wrth Doeg, “Ti! Ymosod di arnyn nhw a'u lladd nhw.” Felly dyma Doeg, oedd o wlad Edom, yn mynd allan a'u taro nhw. Lladdodd Doeg wyth deg pump o offeiriaid allai wisgo effod o liain y diwrnod hwnnw. 19Wedyn aeth i ymosod ar dref Nob, lle roedd yr offeiriaid yn byw, a lladd pawb yno hefyd – dynion a merched, plant a babis bach, a hyd yn oed y gwartheg, yr asynnod a'r defaid. 20Ond dyma un o feibion Achimelech yn llwyddo i ddianc, sef Abiathar. Aeth at Dafydd 21a dweud wrtho fod Saul wedi lladd offeiriaid yr Arglwydd. 22“Pan welais i Doeg y diwrnod hwnnw,” b meddai Dafydd, “ron ni'n gwybod y byddai'n siŵr o ddweud wrth Saul. Arna i mae'r bai fod dy deulu di i gyd wedi cael eu lladd. 23Aros di gyda mi. Paid bod ag ofn. Mae'r un sydd eisiau fy ladd i yn mynd i fod eisiau dy ladd di hefyd. Ond byddi'n saff yma hefo fi.” ▼▼22:11-23 Roedd beth ddigwyddodd yn yr hanes yma yn cyflawni beth wnaeth y proffwyd ei ddweud wrth Eli yn 1 Samuel 2:31-33; gw. hefyd 1 Brenhinoedd 2:26-27.
