Gwragedd a Gwŷr
1Dyna'n union sut dylech chi'r gwragedd priod ymostwng i'ch gwŷr. Wedyn bydd y dynion hynny sy'n gwrthod credu neges Duw yn cael eu hennill gan y ffordd dych chi'n ymddwyn, heb i chi orfod dweud gair. 2Byddan nhw'n dod i gredu wrth weld eich bywydau duwiol a glân chi. 3Dim y colur ar y tu allan sy'n eich gwneud chi'n ddeniadol, na phethau fel steil gwallt, tlysau aur a dillad ffasiynol. 4Beth sy'n bwysig ydy'r hyn ydych chi'r tu mewn – y math o harddwch fydd byth yn diflannu, sef ysbryd addfwyn a thawel. Dyna beth sy'n werthfawr yng ngolwg Duw. 5Dyna sut roedd gwragedd duwiol y gorffennol yn gwneud eu hunain yn hardd. Roedd eu gobaith nhw yn Nuw ac roedden nhw'n ymostwng i'w gwŷr. 6Roedd Sara, er enghraifft, yn ufudd i Abraham (ac yn ei alw'n ‛meistr‛.) a Dych chi i fod yr un fath â hi, felly gwnewch ddaioni a peidiwch bod ofn dim byd. 7Agwedd felly ddylai fod gynnoch chi wŷr hefyd. Dylech feddwl bob amser am les eich gwragedd, a'u parchu nhw a gofalu amdanyn nhw. Y wraig ydy'r partner gwannaf yn gorfforol, ond mae'n rhaid cofio eich bod chi'ch dau yn rhannu'r bywyd mae Duw wedi ei roi mor hael. Os na wnewch chi hyn fydd Duw ddim yn gwrando ar eich gweddïau chi.Dioddef am wneud daioni
8Ac yn olaf, dylai pob un ohonoch chi ddysgu dod ymlaen gyda'ch gilydd. Dylech gydymdeimlo â'ch gilydd, dangos gofal go iawn am eich gilydd, a bod yn dyner ac yn ostyngedig yn eich perthynas â'ch gilydd. 9Peidiwch talu'r pwyth yn ôl drwy enllibio rhywun am eu bod nhw wedi eich enllibio chi. Yn lle hynny, bendithiwch nhw! Dyna mae Duw am i chi ei wneud, a bydd e wedyn yn eich bendithio chi. 10Dyna mae'r ysgrifau sanctaidd yn ei dweud: “Os dych chi am fwynhau bywyd a gweld dyddiau da,rhaid i chi reoli'ch tafod.
Dweud dim byd cas am neb,
a stopio twyllo.
11Trowch gefn ar ddrygioni a gwneud daioni;
gwnewch eich gorau i gael perthynas dda gyda phawb.
12Mae'r Arglwydd yn gofalu am y rhai sy'n gwneud beth sy'n iawn
ac yn gwrando'n astud ar eu gweddïau nhw;
ond mae e yn erbyn y rhai sy'n gwneud drygioni.” b
13Does neb yn gallu gwneud niwed go iawn i chi os dych chi'n frwd i wneud daioni. 14Hyd yn oed os bydd rhaid i chi ddioddef am wneud beth sy'n iawn, cewch eich bendithio'n fawr gan Dduw. “Peidiwch eu hofni nhw a peidiwch poeni.” c
15Addolwch y Meseia â'ch holl galon, a'i gydnabod e'n Arglwydd ar eich bywydau. Byddwch barod bob amser i roi ateb i bwy bynnag sy'n gofyn i chi esbonio beth ydy'r gobaith sydd gynnoch chi. 16Ond byddwch yn garedig wrth wneud hynny, a dangos y parch fyddai Duw am i chi ei ddangos atyn nhw. Peidiwch gwneud dim fydd gynnoch chi gywilydd ohono. Wedyn bydd y rhai hynny sy'n siarad yn eich erbyn chi yn cael eu cywilyddio am eich bod chi'n byw bywydau mor dda fel Cristnogion. 17Os oes rhaid dioddef o gwbl, mae'n well dioddef am wneud pethau da na chael eich cosbi gan Dduw am wneud pethau drwg. 18Roedd y Meseia wedi dioddef trwy farw dros bechodau un waith ac am byth, er mwyn dod â chi at Dduw. Ie, yr un wnaeth bopeth yn iawn yn marw dros y rhai wnaeth bopeth o'i le! Cafodd ei ladd yn gorfforol, ond daeth yr Ysbryd ag e yn ôl yn fyw. 19Ac yn nerth yr un Ysbryd aeth i gyhoeddi ei fuddugoliaeth i'r ysbrydion yn eu cyrchfan. 20Roedd rhai yn anufudd ers talwm, pan oedd Duw yn disgwyl yn amyneddgar, a Noa yn adeiladu'r llong fawr, sef yr arch. A criw bach o bobl gafodd eu hachub rhag boddi yn y dŵr (wyth i fod yn fanwl gywir). d 21Ac mae bedydd, sy'n cyfateb i hynny, yn eich achub chi. Dim bod y ddefod ei hun yn gwneud rhywun yn lân, ond bod rhywun yn onest ac yn ddidwyll yn ymrwymo i ddilyn Duw. Mae dŵr y bedydd yn achub am fod Iesu, y Meseia, wedi ei godi yn ôl yn fyw. 22Ac mae e bellach yn y sedd anrhydedd ar ochr dde Duw yn y nefoedd, e gyda'r angylion a'r awdurdodau a'r pwerau ysbrydol i gyd yn plygu iddo.
