(2 Cronicl 7:11-22) 1Roedd Solomon wedi gorffen adeiladu teml yr Arglwydd, palas y brenin, a popeth arall roedd wedi bod eisiau ei wneud. 2A dyma'r Arglwydd yn dod at Solomon am yr ail dro, fel roedd wedi gwneud yn Gibeon. a 3A dyma fe'n dweud, “Dw i wedi clywed dy weddïau a'r cwbl roeddet ti'n gofyn i mi ei wneud. A dw wedi cysegru'r deml yma rwyt ti wedi ei hadeiladu yn lle i mi fy hun am byth. Bydda i yna bob amser. 4Dw i eisiau i ti fyw yn onest ac yn deg fel dy dad Dafydd, a gwneud popeth dw i'n ddweud – bod yn ufudd i'r rheolau a'r canllawiau dw i wedi eu rhoi. 5Yna bydda i'n gwneud i dy deulu di deyrnasu ar Israel am byth. Dyna wnes i addo i Dafydd dy Dad: ‘Un o dy deulu di fydd ar orsedd Israel am byth.’ 6Ond os byddi di neu dy blant yn troi cefn arna i, a ddim yn dilyn y canllawiau a'r rheolau dw i wedi eu rhoi i chi; os byddwch chi'n addoli duwiau eraill, 7yna bydda i yn gyrru Israel allan o'r wlad dw i wedi ei rhoi iddyn nhw. A bydda i'n troi cefn ar y deml yma dw i wedi chysegru i mi fy hun. Ac wedyn bydd Israel yn destun sbort ac yn jôc i bawb. 8Bydd y deml yma yn bentwr o gerrig. Bydd pawb sy'n mynd heibio yn chwibanu mewn rhyfeddod ac yn gofyn, ‘Pam mae'r Arglwydd wedi gwneud hyn i'r wlad ac i'r deml yma?’ 9A bydd eraill yn ateb, ‘Am eu bod nhw wedi troi cefn ar yr Arglwydd eu Duw, yr un ddaeth â nhw allan o wlad yr Aifft. Maen nhw wedi cymryd duwiau eraill i'w dilyn a'u haddoli. Dyna pam mae'r Arglwydd wedi gadael i'r dinistr yma ddigwydd.’”Pethau eraill wnaeth Solomon
(2 Cronicl 8:1-18) 10Roedd dau ddeg mlynedd wedi mynd heibio ers i Solomon ddechrau codi'r ddau adeilad – teml yr Arglwydd a'r palas brenhinol. 11A dyma'r brenin Solomon yn cynnig dau ddeg o bentrefi yn Galilea i Hiram, brenin Tyrus, am fod Hiram wedi rhoi iddo goed cedrwydd a choed pinwydd a hynny o aur oedd Solomon eisiau. 12Ond pan aeth Hiram i weld y trefi roedd Solomon wedi eu rhoi iddo, doedd e ddim yn hapus. 13Dyma fe'n dweud, “Beth ydy'r trefi diwerth yma wyt ti wedi eu rhoi i mi, frawd?” A dyma fe'n galw'r ardal yn Wlad Cabwl – sef ‛da i ddim‛. A dyna mae'r ardal yn cael ei galw hyd heddiw. 14Dim ond pum mil cilogram o aur roddodd Hiram i Solomon amdanyn nhw. 15Dyma'r manylion am y gweithlu gorfodol wnaeth Solomon ei godi – i adeiladu teml yr Arglwydd, ei balas, y terasau a waliau Jerwsalem, a hefyd caerau amddiffynnol Chatsor, Megido a Geser. 16(Roedd y Pharo, brenin yr Aifft, wedi concro dinas Geser. Roedd wedi ei llosgi'n ulw a lladd y Canaaneaid oedd yn byw yno. Yna roedd wedi ei rhoi yn anrheg priodas i'w ferch, gwraig Solomon. ▼▼9:16 i'w ferch, gwraig Solomon Roedd y Pharo (Siamwn falle, oedd yn teyrnasu o tua 976 i 974 CC) wedi rhoi ei ferch yn wraig i'r brenin Solomon. Mae'n enghraifft prin o ferch i'r Pharo yn cael priodi rhywun oedd ddim yn Eifftiwr.
17Felly dyma Solomon yn ailadeiladu Geser.) Hefyd Beth-choron Isaf, 18Baalath, a Tamar yn yr anialwch. 19Adeiladodd y canolfannau lle roedd ei storfeydd, a'r trefi ar gyfer y cerbydau a'r ceffylau rhyfel. Roedd Solomon yn adeiladu beth bynnag roedd e eisiau, yn Jerwsalem, yn Libanus ac ar hyd a lled y wlad. 20Roedd yna lawer o bobl yn dal i fyw yn y wlad oedd ddim yn Israeliaid – Amoriaid, Hethiaid, Peresiaid, Hefiaid a Jebwsiaid. Roedden nhw'n gorfod gweithio heb dâl i Solomon. 21(Roedden nhw'n dal yn y wlad, am fod Israel wedi methu cael gwared â nhw i gyd pan wnaethon nhw goncro'r wlad.) Dyma Solomon yn gorfodi'r bobl yma i weithio iddo'n ddi-dâl. A dyna'r drefn hyd heddiw. 22Wnaeth Solomon ddim gorfodi pobl Israel i weithio iddo fel caethweision. Nhw oedd ei filwyr, ei weision, ei swyddogion, ei gerbydwyr, capteiniaid ei gerbydau a'i farchogion. 23Ac roedd yna bum cant pum deg ohonyn nhw yn arolygu prosiectau adeiladu Solomon a gwneud yn siŵr fod y gweithwyr yn gwneud eu gwaith. 24Ar ôl i ferch y Pharo symud i fyw o ddinas Dafydd i'r palas roedd Solomon wedi ei adeiladu iddi, dyma Solomon yn adeiladu'r terasau. 25Dair gwaith y flwyddyn roedd Solomon yn aberthu anifeiliaid yn offrymau i'w llosgi ar yr allor roedd wedi ei hadeiladu, yn cyflwyno offrymau o rawn i'r Arglwydd ac yn llosgi arogldarth gyda nhw. Roedd wedi gorffen y gwaith o adeiladu'r deml. 26Dyma Solomon hefyd yn adeiladu llynges iddo'i hun yn Etsion-geber, sy'n agos i Elat ar lan y Môr Coch ▼▼9:26 Môr Coch Hebraeg, “Môr y Brwyn”
yng ngwlad Edom. 27A dyma Hiram yn anfon rhai o'i forwyr profiadol e i fynd gyda gweision Solomon yn y llongau. 28A dyma nhw'n hwylio i Offir a dod â tua un deg chwech tunnell o aur o'r fan honno i'r Brenin Solomon.

When you click on a word, the detailed lexicon opens with:
'Vocabulary' Bibles link the translation to Greek & Hebrew. So far, only some Bibles have this vocabulary feature. They are shown in the Bible select screen with the letter 'V'.
It is the number of occurrences of a word in the Bible. Click on it to see them all in the selected Bible(s).
This reveals different forms for some words and names. These details are often interesting to scholars, eg the word 'beginning' in Genesis.
