Gwinllan Naboth
1Wedyn dyma hyn yn digwydd: Roedd gan ddyn o'r enw Naboth, o Jesreel, winllan reit wrth ymyl palas Ahab, brenin Samaria. 2A dyma Ahab yn gwneud cynnig i Naboth, “Rho dy winllan i mi, i mi gael ei throi hi'n ardd lysiau gan ei bod hi reit wrth ymyl y palas. Gwna i roi gwinllan well i ti yn ei lle hi. Neu, os wyt ti eisiau, gwna i dalu pris teg i ti amdani.” 3Ond dyma Naboth yn gwrthod, “Na, dim ar unrhyw gyfri! Mae'r tir wedi perthyn i'r teulu ers cenedlaethau; allwn i byth ei rhoi hi i ti. a” 4Felly dyma Ahab yn mynd yn ôl i'r palas yn sarrug a blin am fod Naboth wedi gwrthod rhoi'r winllan iddo. Dyma fe'n gorwedd ar ei wely wedi pwdu, ac yn gwrthod bwyta. 5A dyma Jesebel, ei wraig, yn dod ato a gofyn, “Pam wyt ti mewn hwyliau mor ddrwg ac yn gwrthod bwyta?” 6A dyma fe'n dweud, “Gwnes i ofyn i Naboth werthu ei winllan i mi, neu os oedd yn well ganddo, gwnes i gynnig ei chyfnewid hi am winllan arall. Ond mae e wedi gwrthod rhoi'r winllan i mi.” 7A dyma Jesebel yn dweud, “Wyt ti'n frenin Israel neu ddim? Tyrd, bwyta rywbeth. Cod dy galon! Gwna i gael gafael ar winllan Naboth i ti.” 8Aeth ati i ysgrifennu llythyrau yn enw Ahab, rhoi sêl y brenin arnyn nhw, a'u hanfon at yr arweinwyr a'r bobl bwysig oedd yn byw yn yr un gymuned â Naboth. 9Dyma ysgrifennodd hi: “Cyhoeddwch ddiwrnod o ymprydio, a rhoi Naboth i eistedd mewn lle amlwg o flaen pawb. 10Yna ffeindiwch ddau ddyn drwg a'i gosod nhw i eistedd gyferbyn ag e, a'u cael nhw i gyhuddo Naboth o fod wedi melltithio Duw a'r brenin. Wedyn ewch ag e allan a thaflu cerrig ato nes bydd wedi marw.” 11Dyma'r arweinwyr a'r bobl bwysig oedd yn byw yn y gymuned yn gwneud yn union fel roedd Jesebel wedi dweud yn y llythyrau. 12Dyma nhw'n cyhoeddi diwrnod o ymprydio, ac yn rhoi Naboth mewn lle amlwg o flaen y bobl. 13Yna dyma ddau ddyn drwg yn eistedd gyferbyn â Naboth. A dyma nhw'n ei gyhuddo o flaen pawb, a dweud, “Mae Naboth wedi melltithio Duw a'r brenin!” Felly dyma nhw'n mynd â Naboth allan o'r dre a thaflu cerrig ato nes roedd wedi marw. 14Wedyn, dyma nhw'n anfon neges at Jesebel, “Mae Naboth wedi cael ei ladd gyda cherrig.” 15Y funud y clywodd Jesebel fod Naboth wedi marw, dyma hi'n dweud wrth Ahab “Cod, cymer y winllan roedd Naboth o Jesreel wedi gwrthod ei gwerthu i ti. Dydy Naboth ddim yn fyw, mae e wedi marw.” 16Pan glywodd Ahab fod Naboth wedi marw, dyma fe'n mynd i lawr i'r winllan i'w hawlio hi iddo'i hun. 17Yna dyma'r Arglwydd yn dweud wrth Elias, 18“Dos i gyfarfod Ahab, brenin Israel yn Samaria. Cei hyd iddo yng ngwinllan Naboth. Mae wedi mynd yno i hawlio'r winllan iddo'i hun. 19Dywed wrtho, ‘Dyma mae'r Arglwydd yn ei ddweud: Ar ôl llofruddio'r dyn, wyt ti hefyd am ddwyn ei eiddo?’ Dywed wrtho hefyd, ‘Dyma mae'r Arglwydd yn ei ddweud: Lle bu'r cŵn yn llyfu gwaed Naboth, bydd cŵn yn llyfu dy waed di hefyd – ie, ti!’” 20Dyma Ahab yn dweud wrth Elias, “Felly, ti wedi dod o hyd i mi, fy ngelyn!” A dyma Elias yn ateb, “Dw i wedi dod o hyd i ti am dy fod ti'n benderfynol o wneud pethau sy'n ddrwg yng ngolwg yr Arglwydd. 21Mae'r Arglwydd yn dweud, ‘Dw i'n mynd i wneud drwg i ti, a dod â dy linach i ben. Bydda i'n cael gwared â phob dyn a bachgen ▼▼21:21 dyn a bachgen Hebraeg, “un sy'n piso ar bared”
yn Israel,sy'n perthyn i Ahab, y caeth a'r rhydd.
22Bydda i'n gwneud yr un peth i dy linach di ag a wnes i i Jeroboam fab Nebat a Baasha fab Achïa am dy fod ti wedi fy ngwylltio i a gwneud i Israel bechu.’ 23“A dyma mae'r Arglwydd yn ei ddweud am Jesebel, ‘Bydd cŵn yn bwyta Jesebel o fewn waliau Jesreel.’ 24‘Bydd pobl Ahab sy'n marw yn y ddinas
yn cael eu bwyta gan y cŵn.
Bydd y rhai sy'n marw yng nghefn gwlad
yn cael eu bwyta gan yr adar!’”
25(Fuodd yna neb tebyg i Ahab, oedd mor benderfynol o wneud pethau oedd yn ddrwg yng ngolwg yr Arglwydd. Ac roedd Jesebel ei wraig yn ei annog e. 26Roedd yn gwneud pethau hollol afiach wrth addoli eilunod diwerth, yn union yr un fath â'r Amoriaid, y bobl roedd yr Arglwydd wedi eu gyrru allan o'r wlad o flaen Israel.) 27Pan glywodd Ahab neges Elias, dyma fe'n rhwygo ei ddillad a gwisgo sachliain, a mynd heb fwyd. Roedd yn cysgu mewn sachliain ac yn cerdded o gwmpas yn isel ei ysbryd. 28A dyma'r Arglwydd yn dweud wrth Elias, 29“Wyt ti wedi gweld fel mae Ahab wedi plygu mewn cywilydd o'm blaen i? Am ei fod yn edifar, wna i ddim dod a'r drwg yn ystod ei fywyd e. Bydda i'n dinistrio ei linach pan fydd ei fab yn frenin.”

When you click on a word, the detailed lexicon opens with:
'Vocabulary' Bibles link the translation to Greek & Hebrew. So far, only some Bibles have this vocabulary feature. They are shown in the Bible select screen with the letter 'V'.
It is the number of occurrences of a word in the Bible. Click on it to see them all in the selected Bible(s).
This reveals different forms for some words and names. These details are often interesting to scholars, eg the word 'beginning' in Genesis.
