1Nawr, gadewch i ni droi at y cwestiynau oedd yn eich llythyr chi: “Mae'n beth da i ddyn beidio cael rhyw o gwbl,” meddech chi. 2Na, na! Gan fod cymaint o anfoesoldeb rhywiol o gwmpas, dylai pob dyn gael ei wraig ei hun, a phob gwraig ei gŵr ei hun. 3Ac mae gan ddyn gyfrifoldeb i gael perthynas rywiol gyda'i wraig, a'r un modd y wraig gyda'i gŵr. 4Mae'r wraig wedi rhoi'r hawl ar ei chorff i'w gŵr, a'r un modd, mae'r gŵr wedi rhoi'r hawl ar ei gorff yntau i'w wraig. 5Felly peidiwch gwrthod cael rhyw gyda'ch gilydd. Yr unig adeg i ymwrthod, falle, ydy os dych chi wedi cytuno i wneud hynny am gyfnod byr er mwyn rhoi mwy o amser i weddi. Ond dylech ddod yn ôl at eich gilydd yn fuan, rhag i Satan ddefnyddio'ch chwantau i'ch temtio chi. 6Ond awgrym ydy hynny, dim gorchymyn. 7Byddwn i wrth fy modd petai pawb yn gallu bod fel ydw i, ond dŷn ni i gyd yn wahanol. Mae Duw wedi rhoi perthynas briodasol yn rhodd i rai, a'r gallu i fyw'n sengl yn rhodd i eraill. 8Dw i am ddweud hyn wrth y rhai sy'n weddw neu'n ddibriod: Byddai'n beth da iddyn nhw aros yn ddibriod, fel dw i wedi gwneud. 9Ond os fedran nhw ddim rheoli eu teimladau, dylen nhw briodi. Mae priodi yn well na chael ein difa gan ein nwydau. ▼▼7:9 ein difa gan ein nwydau: Groeg, “losgi”.
10I'r rhai sy'n briod dyma dw i'n ei orchymyn (yr Arglwydd ddwedodd hyn, dim fi): Ddylai gwraig ddim gadael ei gŵr. ▼▼7:10 Ddylai … gŵr. Cyfeiriad at eiriau Iesu y Meseia yn Marc 10:9-12.
11Ond os ydy hi eisoes wedi ei adael mae dau ddewis ganddi. Gall hi aros yn ddibriod neu fynd yn ôl at ei gŵr. A ddylai dyn ddim ysgaru ei wraig chwaith. 12Ac wrth y gweddill ohonoch chi, dyma dw i'n ddweud (soniodd yr Arglwydd Iesu ddim am y peth): Os oes gan Gristion wraig sydd ddim yn credu ond sy'n dal yn fodlon byw gydag e, ddylai'r dyn hwnnw ddim gadael ei wraig. 13Neu fel arall, os oes gan wraig ŵr sydd ddim yn credu, ond sy'n dal yn fodlon byw gyda hi, ddylai hithau ddim ei adael e. 14Mae bywyd y gŵr sydd ddim yn credu yn cael ei lanhau drwy ei berthynas â'i wraig o Gristion, a bywyd gwraig sydd ddim yn credu yn cael ei lanhau drwy ei pherthynas hi â'i gŵr sy'n Gristion. Petai fel arall byddai eich plant chi'n ‛aflan‛, ond fel hyn, maen nhw hefyd yn lân. 15(Ond wedyn, os ydy'r gŵr neu'r wraig sydd ddim yn credu yn mynnu gadael y berthynas, gadewch iddyn nhw fynd. Dydy'r partner sy'n Gristion ddim yn gaeth mewn achos felly. Mae Duw am i ni fyw mewn heddwch). 16Dwyt ti ddim yn gwybod, wraig, falle y byddi di'n gyfrwng i achub dy ŵr! Neu ti'r gŵr, falle y byddi di'n gyfrwng i achub dy wraig! Bod pwy mae Duw wedi'ch galw chi i fod
17Dylai pob un ohonoch chi dderbyn y sefyllfa mae'r Arglwydd wedi'ch gosod chi ynddi pan alwodd Duw chi i gredu. Mae hon yn rheol dw i'n ei rhoi i bob un o'r eglwysi. 18Er enghraifft, os oedd dyn wedi bod trwy'r ddefod o gael ei enwaedu cyn dod i gredu, ddylai e ddim ceisio newid ei gyflwr. A fel arall hefyd; os oedd dyn ddim wedi cael ei enwaedu pan ddaeth yn Gristion, ddylai e ddim mynd drwy'r ddefod nawr. 19Sdim ots os dych chi wedi cael eich enwaedu neu beidio! Beth sy'n bwysig ydy'ch bod chi'n gwneud beth mae Duw'n ei ddweud. 20Felly dylech chi aros fel roeddech chi pan alwodd Duw chi i gredu. 21Wyt ti'n gaethwas? Paid poeni am y peth. Hyd yn oed os ydy'n bosib y byddi di'n rhydd rywbryd, gwna'r defnydd gorau o'r sefyllfa wyt ti ynddi. 22Er bod rhywun yn gaethwas pan ddaeth i gredu, mae'n berson rhydd yng ngolwg yr Arglwydd! A'r un modd, os oedd rhywun yn ddinesydd rhydd pan ddaeth i gredu, mae bellach yn gaethwas i'r Meseia! 23Mae pris uchel wedi ei dalu amdanoch chi! Peidiwch gwneud eich hunain yn gaethweision pobl. 24Ffrindiau annwyl, Duw ydy'r un dych chi'n atebol iddo. Felly arhoswch fel roeddech chi pan daethoch i gredu. 25I droi at fater y rhai sydd ddim eto wedi priodi: Does gen i ddim gorchymyn i'w roi gan yr Arglwydd, ond dyma ydy fy marn i (fel un y gallwch ymddiried ynddo drwy drugaredd Duw!): 26Am ein bod ni'n wynebu creisis ar hyn o bryd, dw i'n meddwl mai peth da fyddai i chi aros fel rydych chi. 27Os wyt ti wedi dyweddïo gyda merch, paid ceisio datod y cwlwm. Os wyt ti'n rhydd, paid ag edrych am wraig. 28Ond fyddi di ddim yn pechu os byddi di'n priodi; a dydy'r ferch ifanc ddim yn pechu wrth briodi chwaith. Ond mae'r argyfwng presennol yn rhoi parau priod dan straen ofnadwy, a dw i eisiau eich arbed chi rhag hynny. 29Dw i am ddweud hyn ffrindiau: mae'r amser yn brin. O hyn ymlaen dim bod yn briod neu beidio ydy'r peth pwysica; 30dim y galar na'r llawenydd ddaw i'n rhan; dim prynu pethau, wedi'r cwbl fyddwch chi ddim yn eu cadw nhw! 31Waeth heb ag ymgolli yn y petheuach sydd gan y byd i'w gynnig, am fod y byd fel y mae yn dod i ben! 32Ceisio'ch arbed chi rhag poeni'n ddiangen ydw i. Mae dyn dibriod yn gallu canolbwyntio ar waith yr Arglwydd, a sut i'w blesio. 33Ond rhaid i'r dyn priod feddwl am bethau eraill bywyd – sut i blesio'i wraig – 34ac mae'n cael ei dynnu'r ddwy ffordd. Mae gwraig sydd bellach yn ddibriod, neu ferch sydd erioed wedi priodi, yn gallu canolbwyntio ar waith yr Arglwydd. Ei nod hi ydy cysegru ei hun yn llwyr (gorff ac ysbryd) i'w wasanaethu e. Ond mae'n rhaid i wraig briod feddwl am bethau'r byd – sut i blesio'i gŵr. 35Dw i'n dweud hyn er eich lles chi, dim i gyfyngu arnoch chi. Dw i am i ddim byd eich rhwystro chi rhag byw bywyd o ymroddiad llwyr i'r Arglwydd. 36Os ydy rhywun yn teimlo ei fod yn methu rheoli ei nwydau gyda'r ferch mae wedi ei dyweddïo, a'r straen yn ormod, dylai wneud beth mae'n meddwl sy'n iawn. Dydy e ddim yn pechu trwy ei phriodi hi. 37Ond os ydy dyn wedi penderfynu peidio ei phriodi – ac yn gwybod yn iawn beth mae'n ei wneud, a heb fod dan unrhyw bwysau – mae yntau'n gwneud y peth iawn. 38Felly mae'r un sy'n priodi ei ddyweddi yn gwneud yn iawn, ond bydd yr un sy'n dewis peidio priodi yn gwneud peth gwell. 39Mae gwraig ynghlwm i'w gŵr tra mae ei gŵr yn dal yn fyw. Ond os ydy'r gŵr yn marw, mae'r wraig yn rhydd i briodi dyn arall, cyn belled â'i fod yn Gristion. 40Ond yn fy marn i byddai'n well iddi aros fel y mae – a dw i'n credu fod Ysbryd Duw wedi rhoi arweiniad i mi yn hyn o beth.

How do I do a word study?

When you click on a word, the detailed lexicon opens with:
'Vocabulary' Bibles link the translation to Greek & Hebrew. So far, only some Bibles have this vocabulary feature. They are shown in the Bible select screen with the letter 'V'.
It is the number of occurrences of a word in the Bible. Click on it to see them all in the selected Bible(s).
This reveals different forms for some words and names. These details are often interesting to scholars, eg the word 'beginning' in Genesis.
