1Cafodd cofrestrau teuluol eu cadw i bobl Israel i gyd. Maen nhw i'w gweld yn sgrôl Hanes Brenhinoedd Israel.Y bobl ddaeth yn ôl o'r gaethglud i Jerwsalem
Roedd pobl Jwda wedi cael eu cymryd yn gaeth i Babilon am eu bod wedi bod yn anufudd. 2Y rhai cyntaf o'r Israeliaid i ddod yn ôl i fyw yn eu hardaloedd a'u trefi eu hunain oedd yr offeiriaid, y Lefiaid a gweision y deml. 3Dyma rai o bobl llwythau Jwda, Benjamin, Effraim a Manasse yn setlo yn Jerwsalem. 4Roedd 690 o bobl o lwyth Jwda wedi setlo yn Jerwsalem: Teulu Wthai fab Amihwd, mab Omri, mab Imri, mab Bani, oedd yn un o ddisgynyddion Perets fab Jwda.Teulu Asaia, un o ddisgynyddion Shela.
Teulu Iewel, un o ddisgynyddion Serach.
7O ddisgynyddion Benjamin: Salw fab Meshwlam, mab Hodafia, mab Hasenŵa
8Ibneia fab Ierocham
Ela, mab Wssi ac ŵyr i Michri.
Meshwlam fab Sheffateia, mab Reuel, mab Ibnïa.
9Roedd 956 o'u perthnasau nhw wedi eu rhestru yn y rhestrau teuluol. Roedd y dynion yma i gyd yn benaethiaid eu teuluoedd.
Yr Offeiriaid yn Jerwsalem
10O'r offeiriaid: Idaïa; Iehoiarif; Iachin; 11Asareia fab Chilceia, mab Meshwlam, mab Sadoc, mab Meraioth, mab Achitwf (oedd yn brif swyddog yn nheml Dduw); 12Adaia fab Ierocham, mab Pashchwr, mab Malcîa; a Maasai fab Adiel, mab Iachsera, mab Meshwlam, mab Meshilemith, mab Immer; 13a perthnasau iddyn nhw oedd yn benaethiaid eu teuluoedd. 1,760 o ddynion oedd yn gallu cyflawni'r gwahanol dasgau oedd i'w gwneud yn nheml Dduw.Y Lefiaid yn Jerwsalem
14O'r Lefiaid: Shemaia fab Chashwf, mab Asricam, mab Chashafeia, oedd yn perthyn i glan Merari; 15Bacbacâr; Cheresh; Galal; Mataneia fab Micha, mab Sichri, mab Asaff; 16Obadeia fab Shemaia, mab Galal, mab Iedwthwn; a Berecheia fab Asa, mab Elcana, oedd wedi byw yn y pentrefi yn ardal Netoffa.Gofalwyr y deml
17Gofalwyr y giatiau: Shalwm, Accwf, Talmon, Achiman, a'u perthnasau. (Shalwm oedd y pennaeth.) 18Cyn hyn, nhw oedd y gwylwyr yng ngwersylloedd y Lefiaid i'r dwyrain o Giât y Brenin. 19Shalwm fab Core, mab Ebiasaff, mab Cora, a'i berthnasau ar ochr ei dad (sef y Corahiaid), oedd yn gyfrifol am warchod y fynedfa i'r cysegr. Eu hynafiaid nhw oedd wedi bod yn gyfrifol am warchod y fynedfa i wersyll yr Arglwydd. 20Phineas fab Eleasar, oedd yn arolygu'r gwaith ers talwm, ac roedd yr Arglwydd wedi bod gydag e. 21A Sechareia fab Meshelemeia oedd yn gwarchod y fynedfa i Babell Presenoldeb Duw.22Roedd yna ddau gant un deg dau ohonyn nhw i gyd wedi cael eu dewis i warchod y fynedfa. Roedd eu henwau wedi eu rhestru yng nghofrestrau teuluol eu pentrefi. Y brenin Dafydd a Samuel y proffwyd oedd wedi eu penodi i'w swyddi. 23Felly nhw a'u disgynyddion oedd i ofalu am warchod y fynedfa i gysegr yr Arglwydd (sef y Tabernacl). 24Roedden nhw i'w warchod ar y pedair ochr: i'r dwyrain, gorllewin, gogledd a de. 25Roedd eu perthnasau o'r pentrefi yn dod atyn nhw bob hyn a hyn i wasanaethu gyda nhw am saith diwrnod. 26Roedd y pedwar prif ofalwr yn swyddogion y gellid eu trystio, ag yn gyfrifol am warchod y stordai lle roedd trysorau'r cysegr. 27Roedden nhw ar wyliadwriaeth drwy'r nos o gwmpas cysegr Duw. Nhw oedd yn gyfrifol amdano ac yn agor y drysau bob bore.
Lefiaid eraill
28Roedd rhai ohonyn nhw'n gyfrifol am lestri'r gwasanaeth. Roedden nhw i gyfri'r cwbl wrth eu cymryd allan a'u cadw. 29Roedd eraill yn gofalu am ddodrefn ac offer y lle sanctaidd. Nhw oedd â gofal am y blawd mân, y gwin, yr olew olewydd, y thus a'r perlysiau hefyd. 30(Ond dim ond offeiriaid oedd yn cael cymysgu'r perlysiau.) 31Roedd Matitheia, un o'r Lefiaid (mab hynaf Shalwm o glan Cora) yn gyfrifol am bobi'r bara ar gyfer yr offrymau. 32Roedd rhai o'u perthnasau, oedd yn perthyn i'r un clan, yn gyfrifol am baratoi'r bara oedd yn cael ei osod yn bentwr bob Saboth. 33Roedd y cantorion oedd yn benaethiaid ar deuluoedd y Lefiaid yn aros mewn ystafelloedd, ac yn rhydd o ddyletswyddau eraill. Roedd eu gwaith nhw yn mynd yn ei flaen ddydd a nos. 34Y rhain oedd penaethiaid teuluoedd llwyth Lefi, fel roedden nhw wedi eu rhestru yn y cofrestrau teuluol. How do I do a word study?

When you click on a word, the detailed lexicon opens with:
'Vocabulary' Bibles link the translation to Greek & Hebrew. So far, only some Bibles have this vocabulary feature. They are shown in the Bible select screen with the letter 'V'.
It is the number of occurrences of a word in the Bible. Click on it to see them all in the selected Bible(s).
This reveals different forms for some words and names. These details are often interesting to scholars, eg the word 'beginning' in Genesis.
