1Disgynyddion Jwda: Perets, Hesron, Carmi, Hur, a Shofal. 2Roedd Reaia fab Shofal yn dad i Iachath. Yna Iachath oedd tad Achwmai a Lahad. Y rhain oedd teuluoedd y Soriaid. 3Dyma feibion Etam: Jesreel, Ishma ac Idbash: ac enw eu chwaer nhw oedd Hatselelponi. 4Penuel oedd tad Gedor, ac Eser oedd tad Chwsha. Roedd y rhain yn ddisgynyddion i Hur, mab hynaf Effrath a hynafiad pobl Bethlehem. 5Roedd gan Ashchwr, tad Tecoa, ddwy wraig, sef Chela a Naära: 6Naära oedd mam Achwsam, Cheffer, Temeni, a Haachashtari. Y rhain oedd meibion Naära. 7Meibion Chela oedd Sereth, Sochar, Ethnan 8a Cots (tad Anwf a Hatsobeba), a hefyd hynafiad teuluoedd Achar-chel fab Harwm. 9Roedd Jabets yn cael ei barchu fwy na'i frodyr. (Rhoddodd ei fam yr enw Jabets iddo am ei bod wedi cael poenau ofnadwy pan gafodd e ei eni.) 10Gweddïodd Jabets ar Dduw Israel, “Plîs bendithia fi, a rhoi mwy o dir i mi! Cynnal fi! Cadw fi'n saff fel bod dim rhaid i mi ddioddef!” A dyma Duw yn ateb ei weddi.Rhestrau teuluol eraill
11Celwb oedd brawd Shwcha a tad Mechir, a Mechir oedd tad Eshton. 12Eshton oedd tad Bethraffa, Paseach a Techinna (tad Ir-nachash). Dyma bobl Recha. 13Meibion Cenas: Othniel a Seraia. Meibion Othniel: Chathath a Meonothai. 14Meonothai oedd tad Offra. Seraia oedd tad Joab, hynafiad y bobl sy'n byw yn Ge-charashîm ▼▼4:14 Ge-charashîm sef, Dyffryn y crefftwyr
(sy'n cael yr enw am eu bod nhw yn grefftwyr). 15Meibion Caleb fab Jeffwnne: Irw, Ela, a Naäm. Mab Ela: Cenas. 16Meibion Jehalel-el: Siff, Siffa, Tireia, ac Asarel. 17Meibion Esra: Jether, Mered, Effer a Jalon. Dyma wraig Mered (Bithia) yn cael plant: Miriam, Shammai, ac Ishbach oedd yn dad i Eshtemoa. 18Ei wraig e o Jwda oedd mam Iered (tad Gedor), Heber (tad Socho) a Iecwthiel (tad Sanoach.) Roedd y rhain i gyd yn ddisgynyddion i Bitheia, merch y Pharo, oedd wedi priodi Mered. 19Meibion gwraig Hodeia, chwaer Nacham: tad Ceila y Garmiad ac Eshtemoa y Maachathiad. 20Meibion Shimon: Amnon, Rinna, Ben-chanan, a Tilon. 21Meibion Shela fab Jwda: Er (tad Lecha), Lada (tad Maresha), teuluoedd y gweithwyr lliain main yn Beth-ashbea, 22Iocim, dynion Cosefa, Joash a Saraff – y ddau yn arweinwyr yn Moab a Iashwfi Lechem. (Mae'r hanesion yma yn dod o archifau hynafol.) 23Roedden nhw'n gwneud crochenwaith, yn byw yn Netaim a Gedera, ac yn gweithio i'r brenin.Disgynyddion Simeon
24Disgynyddion Simeon: Nemwel, Iamin, Iarîf, Serach, a Saul, 25wedyn Shalwm ei fab e, Mifsam ei fab yntau, a Mishma mab hwnnw. 26Disgynyddion Mishma: Chamwel ei fab, Saccwr ei ŵyr a Shimei ei or-ŵyr. 27Roedd gan Shimei un deg chwech mab a chwe merch. Ond doedd gan ei frodyr ddim llawer o feibion, felly wnaeth llwyth Simeon ddim tyfu cymaint â llwyth Jwda. 28Roedden nhw'n byw yn Beersheba, Molada, Chatsar-shwal, 29Bilha, Etsem, Tolad, 30Bethwel, Horma, Siclag, 31Beth-marcaboth, Chatsar-swsim, Beth-biri, a Shaaraim. Y rhain oedd eu trefi nhw nes bod Dafydd yn frenin. 32Pump o'i pentrefi nhw oedd Etam, Ain, Rimmon, Tochen ac Ashan; 33a pentrefi eraill o gwmpas y trefi yma yr holl ffordd i Baal. Dyna lle roedden nhw'n byw. Ac roedden nhw'n cadw cofrestr deuluol. 34Yr arweinwyr oedd: Meshofaf, Iamlech, Iosha fab Amaseia, 35Joel, Jehw fab Ioshifia (mab Seraia ac ŵyr Asiel), 36Elioenai, Iacofa, Ishochaia, Asaia, Adiel, Isimiel, Benaia, 37Sisa fab Shiffi (mab Alon, mab Iedaia, mab Shimri, mab Shemaia.) 38Y rhain sydd wedi eu henwi oedd pennau'r teuluoedd. Roedd eu niferoedd yn tyfu'n gyflym, 39a dyma nhw'n mynd at Fwlch Gedor, i'r dwyrain o'r dyffryn, i chwilio am borfa i'w defaid. 40Dyma nhw'n dod o hyd i dir pori da yno. Roedd yn wlad eang, ac roedden nhw'n saff ac yn cael llonydd yno. Rhai o ddisgynyddion Cham oedd wedi bod yn byw yno o'u blaenau nhw. 41Ond pan oedd Heseceia yn frenin ar Jwda, dyma'r dynion oedd wedi eu rhestru yn ymosod ar bentrefi'r Chamiaid, a'r Mewniaid oedd yn byw yno hefyd. Dyma nhw'n eu dinistrio nhw'n llwyr, a chymryd eu tiroedd oddi arnyn nhw, er mwyn cael porfa i'w defaid a'u geifr. 42Dan arweiniad Plateia, Nearia, Reffaia ac Wssiel (meibion Ishi), dyma bum cant o ddynion o lwyth Simeon yn mynd i fryniau Seir 43a lladd gweddill yr Amaleciaid oedd wedi dianc yno'n ffoaduriaid. Mae disgynyddion Simeon wedi byw yno ers hynny.

How do I do a word study?

When you click on a word, the detailed lexicon opens with:
'Vocabulary' Bibles link the translation to Greek & Hebrew. So far, only some Bibles have this vocabulary feature. They are shown in the Bible select screen with the letter 'V'.
It is the number of occurrences of a word in the Bible. Click on it to see them all in the selected Bible(s).
This reveals different forms for some words and names. These details are often interesting to scholars, eg the word 'beginning' in Genesis.
